~Late Night Prayers~

                 BlueFairy.bmp

Just a minute ago, I received a phone call from my dear husband.  I haven't heard from him all evening, which for him, isn't all that unusual, but a little out of the ordinary.

Well, as soon as I answered the phone he said, "Now, don't worry..."

Well, of course, if someone says that, you are bound to worry.  With his line of profession, the worst possible thoughts can come to mind... And with me saying that:

He goes on to say, "If you watch the news, about a Ceres (the town he works for) police officer being shot [OMG!!], I just want to let you know, it isn't me and I'm fine..."

All I can hear in the back of my head now is, "I'm fine..."

I don't know details... DH was busy and had to return to work... But I do know the gentleman that was shot and I'm not sure about his injury, but the Hubby said something about a leg wound...

Unfortunetly, they are still having to deal with this jerk who is locked up in his home, supposedly with an AK-47 and possibly holding people hostigage!!!

Please, if you will, keep my husband and the rest of the officers in the police department in your prayers... Especially the officer who was shot.  He has been on the force for a while now and has a family.

Thank you all... And I'll make sure that I update again in the morning when (hopefully) I have more details!

Thanks and Many Hugs...

Jennifer

Updated: It has been about 20 mins since I posted this and I just heard from my SIL (remember, all 3 brothers work for the same PD) and she just wanted to let me know that another officer has been shot.  He supposedly isn't doing well.  This officer has 2 young children (teens) and a lovely wife.  I don'tknow what else is going on... But needless to say, I'm very worried.  She also mentioned that they don't know where this guy is and that has me even more worried since my parents live in the town!!  Please keep everyone in your thoughts, it means a lot to me.  And again, I'll update tomorrow morning.

Update II: Well, it is over.  The a-hole that shot the two officers is dead.  All the other police officers are okay... On the outside that is.  It isn't looking good for the second police officer that was shot.  The hubby just called (1215am) and said he is holding up out there nicely, but he'll definetly need me when he gets home... And for me not to be suprised if he brings buddies home to do some drinking.  He told me he'd tell me more about it later... I'm guessing it isn't good news.  Please keep the two officers and their families in your prayers...

~Sunday Sunday~

                          fairybutterfly.jpg

Well, Sunday is here and that means its pretty much the end of the weekend... It is back to work tomorrow.  Whoopie.  I shouldn't complain, because not everyone has a job that they can count on for a weekly check or what not... But hey, my mood to work has been pretty crappy lately, and I'm so going to try to fix that.

I've got a good thing with what I do.  I'm able to be home with my Princess in the evening and not have to really worry about taking days off or leaving early when I need to.  I make a reasonable amount of money, more than some 22 year olds that I know... So, I'm going to try to make the last 15 days of work there better...

Then I'll be off for about 2.5 months... Hmm... Thats going to be interesting!

Its pretty quiet here right now.  Only about 1030am.  Rowan is watching "Rolie Polie Olie" and eating her oatmeal and the Hubby is still in bed.  He has to work tonight and then be up and ready to leave for school somewhere around 10am tomorrow morning!  Poor guy... Good thing he isn't having to drive down there.  Maybe he can catch some Zzzz's or at least 'relax his eyes' (lol) on the drive down.  But I doubt either one of those will happen because of who he is driving down with... He'll be gabbering away and talking work and all... I know how he is.

Dinner at my mom and dad's was really yummy last night.  My mom made a perfect winter meal, Stew and Dumplings!  It was delicious.  I'm really lucky to have them so close... Actually, Rowan is very lucky too.  A ten minute (if that) drive one way isn't a big deal when it means you get to see someone you love...

::Thanks for dinner again Mom and Dad::

Today I'm going to work on cleaning house... Woo Hoo.  Just what I love to do on my days off.  haha.  I have to actually run to my parents again and borrow a piece of their luggage so the Hubby can carry his clothes in something.  I know, I know.  We need to invest in some of our own... But hey, when you don't travel that much, it is just easier to borrow than buy!

Miss Rowan and I are going to try to tackle her room... It seems that no matter what we do, her toys explode all over the place.  I think it is about time that I put some of them away in storage bins... That way, when she gets tired of the ones we have out now, she can get those back out and play with them!  Plus, there are a bunch that she is too big for, but will be perfect for Zachary after he is a little older!  Done deal... I need me some storage bins!!  Haha.

Well, the weather hasn't hit too bad... Yet.  I guess they are expecting the brunt of it to hit the Sierra Nevada's, but are still expecting plenty of rain and wind here.  So, we'll see what happens.  And I guess the Hubby is still on for school... No word on if they'll be canceling his school... Or at least he didn't feel the need to tell me when he came to bed last night at 330am!  Lol.

Alrighty, I gotta get my butt in gear... I hope you all have a wonderful Sunday and enjoy the last day of your weekend... I know I'm going to try!

~Better~

                     DoublePurpleHearts.jpg

Just a quick note before Rowan and I head to my parents house for dinner and a visit... I'm much better today.  The Hubby actually spent time with US today, and not with his damned Halo2.  Lol.

Actually, he did play for a bit, but decided against playing any longer... Pending a future divorce... Lol.  I'm just kidding about that... But at least he realized he needed to spend some time with us instead of the game.

The weather here in California is pretty crazy today... We are expecting a huge storm to come through.  Hopefully it won't be too bad... But what they are predicting for the Sierra's is about 6ft of snow in just one night!!

Plus, flash floods here in the valley and major winds... Keep us all in your thoughts...

If the storm becomes too bad, the Hubby won't be going off to school this coming week.  Something about having to take care of the floods in the town and the possible closer of the Grapevine...

Well, I'm off now.  Hope all have a great Saturday night!!

~Hmm~

This is a great tag... Perfectly describes my mood... Now only if this was a woman, it would be much better...

Ever have one of them days, where you just wish you could make something catch fire or explode with the power of your mind because you are so frustrated or there is just too much crap to deal with?

Don't think I'm crazy, ya'll... 'Cause I'm not... Its just one of them days... lol.

Men... You can't live with them and you definetly can't live with out them... Haha.

And I'll leave you with that thought and this wonderful graphic!

~Lazy Day Friday~

                          anibutterfliesingarden.gif

I would love to have a beautiful "English" garden like this... Where butterflies would come to visit and I could just sit out and enjoy the nice sunshine.  Maybe someday... When I have the time, money and space... Lol.

Today has been a very lazy Friday.  We didn't get out of bed until almost 10am and then just proceeded to make breakfast... I guess we slept in so late because we were up to 11pm last night.  I had taken a nap yesterday afternoon, so it was pretty late before I became tired.

I also watched "A Separate Hope" (I think that is what it was called...) on Primetime last night.  It was about those two little girls born connected at the chest earlier last year (Feb 2004) and the operation they went through to separate them.  It was very touching and the family seems lovely... In the end, the girls were separated, but one of the girls now has problems moving her legs... She'll need assistants walking for the rest of her life, unless somehow the cells in her spine regenerate or stem cell research comes along to help.  Beautiful little babies though... Jade and Erin... And boy does watching a program like that make you stop and think how lucky you are to have a healthy child or children.

Oh yes, I DVR'd "Medium" last night because there were other shows I wanted to watch... Plus, I really like to be able to fast-foward through the stupid commercials.  Well, this afternoon, I went to play it, and it was the same episode from Monday night!!!  The synopsis of the show for last night said it was something totally new... Even the previews showed new!!  So, I don't know what happened, but I was very dissappointed this afternoon.  So Lisa, I'm just in the same boat as you... Didn't get to watch it.  And yes, I wish it were on at 9pm also!!

Anywho...

We were supposed to go to Target today and do some shopping.  Well, after breakfast, the Hubby said he had to do something for a few minutes and then he'd be cleaning the kitchen and we'd get ready to go.  Well, he snuck into his game room and started playing Halo2 Live with his brother... And a few minutes turned into 30mins... And 30mins turned into 2 hours!!!  WTH?  What is it with "BOYS" and their stupid video games??

Needless to say, I was a little ticked that he was spending so much time on his stupid video game (the one that I'm thinking of hiding!!) that I just decided I wasn't going anywhere.  I had even done my hair and makeup... But just ended up putting on my lounge clothes and climbing back onto the couch.

Maybe tomorrow I'll feel like going... Who knows... If the weather tomorrow is anything like it is today, I'm sure I won't be going anywhere... But you never know.

::poopy mood alert over here::

It is just Rowan and I tonight.  OT called again for the Hubby and he took it up.  I guess we won't be spending a whole lot of time with him before he leaves for school on Monday.  Whatever... I guess sometimes you just gotta do what you just gotta do.  So, we'll be making homemade pizza's again and probably watching a few movies or so.  "Third Watch" is back on tonight, so I'm definetly going to be catching that.

Oh yes.  Last night, I introduced Rowan to Ice Cream Sundaes... Oh yea baby!!  And let me tell you, she truly enjoyed them.  Lol.  Hot fudge, carmel and whipped cream... Hehe.  You know we'll be making more tonight too if she has anything to do with it.  Okay, Okay, I'll be wanting them too... haha.  We can make it a girls night!!

::Woo Hoo::

Well, I'm going to go settle back onto the couch and read some of my book... Yes, another Anne Rice.  Gotta love that gal.  She has some awesome books...  Rowan is busy watching a movie, so I'm going to take this time and read.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend...

~Blue Thursday~

blumoon.gifI'm in a blue mood today... I really don't know why, but I am.  Last night was kinda of an poopy night, so that could be possibly why.  Or the fact that I'm craving much needed sunshine and there isn't any here today, could be another possibility!

Last night started out really well.  I came home from work to a clean house, a sleeping child and a very happy Hubby.  I went straight into my PJ's and enjoyed a rest of the couch while the Hubby went to take his dog for a bath.  A couple hours later, after the Hubby played Hero on his way home (stopped to help with a head on collision), we started to make our homemade pizzas!

Yum Yum.  They turned out great and we enjoyed making them all together.  My friend Amy and her boyfriend "Duck" (as Rowan calls him) came over and picked up our old (old as in 1yr old) TV entertainment center and hung out for a while.

But you know how one thing can change the mood in the house for the rest of the evening?

Well, I was laying in my bed last night, waiting for the Hubby to stop playing Halo2 so he could come rub my back, when I heard his mutt outside in the back yard, getting into something.  I knew instantly what it was... Peanut Oil!!  So, I yelled at the Hubby that his dog was getting into something... And boy, was he pissed (excuse me) when he came back in the house...

Bad words were flying around and even the threat of not having him any more came out of his mouth... ::gasp:: His bad mood just made both Rowan and I in a bad mood.  So, basically, I went to bed in a bad mood and didn't say goodnight or I Love You.  And I hate that!

I hate going to bed in a bad mood.  I hate not saying I Love You before I go to sleep or before either he or I leave the house... You never know what could happen.  So, this morning, I made sure I gave him a kiss and told him that I loved him before I left...

I just hope I can get out of this blue mood.... Maybe a piece of chocolate will do me good... ::giggle::

I already reminded Lisa this morning, but I'm going to remind everyone else that tonight is another new episode of "Medium"... If you are interested!  Personally, it is very interesting... And it makes it even more interesting that it is losely based around a real woman!  Now, do you think you'd be watching it??

Oh yes, and any you that are "O.C." fans, it is back on tonight with a new episode too!  Its going to get pretty interesting, I hope.  Lol.  Sometime soon, Marissa is going to pull the "lesbian" card and start a romantic relationship with Alex, Seth's ex-boss (the girl from the club!!).  So, I'm definetly interested to see how all that comes out.  Plus, with Ryan and Linsdey starting a relationship, how is it going to work out with them, because of her being "family" now...

Drama, drama, drama... Hey, at least I haven't mentioned "Days Of Our Lives" yet.  haha.

I'm planning on just relaxing tonight.  I didn't get much sleep last night.  Just wasn't happening... So, tonight, I'm going to go home, put my PJ's on and enjoy the Steak Sandwich dinner that Hubby is making... Then I'm going to plop my butt on the couch and veg out.  Haha.

My MIL (who is also my boss) mentioned to me today that she is suprised I'm still working???  WTH?  I was like, "Um, well, I kinda need the paycheck, ya know?".  Unless she is planning on paying me for the days I don't work, I think I'll stick it out for the next 16 days.  haha.  But hey, I guess if I feel the need to leave early or take a day off, I won't be worried to ask...

Well, I'm feeling much better now that I've rambled on and on.  Maybe my blue mood is lifting with out the chocolate!  Lol.  Heck, I think I'll have the chocolate, just in case... Hehe.

I've got some stuff to do now.  I think I might be leaving a little early today... Haha.  I'd like to spend some time with Miss Rowan and the Hubby (if he is in a better mood...).

So, I hope everyone has a wonderful Thursday!
