~Tuesday Morning Ramblings~

*Now that AOL Journals are back up... I can finally freakin' post... Come on AOL, get your stuff together!*  

Oh Sleep.  How I missed you.  

Yes folks, I got me some good sleep last night.  I did have to wake up once at 230 am to feed the Hungry Monster, but that was it until 545 this morning!  Mr. Zachary must have been feeling better!  

Poor boy still has a runny nose and gums that are redder than red, but he slept good and I'm sure he'll be in a better mood!  We just pumped him up with Tylenol and fed him good before bed... So, I guess it worked!  

Anywho.  

Yesterday Miss Ro had gymnastics.  I know I said I was going to take my camera with me, but I forgot.  

I had a good reason though.  

I swear...  

I got my new purse yesterday afternoon and I was a little preoccupied.  I FINALLY got my Mother's Day/Birthday/Anniversary gift... A new Dooney and Bourke purse!  She is so pretty... Here, check her out:    

So, needless to say, I was just a little happy to put all my stuff in there and I totally forgot to take it.  It didn't help that Rowan was being a Pill before we left either.  Totally throwing a fit and crying.  It actually got to the point that I told her if she couldn't calm down and straighten up, she wouldn't be going.   That worked.  Haha.  She likes gym just way too much to not go. 

She did a great job though.  She behaved perfectly and she did well with her Skills tests.  I just wonder how many more skills she passed.  She is getting pretty good, if I do say so myself!  Well, at least for a three year old.  Haha.  

Grandpa (my daddy) went with us again.  She seems to like to have people, besides me, there watching her.  She tends to try to do better... Show off of sorts, ya know?  She'll walk by on the balance beam and wave and smile.  lol.  That kid has no fear!  

Let me tell you, she was so tired after gym that she gobbled up her dinner- Derek cooked and it was Yummy!- and then it was off to bed with her.  She didn't fight it and she was asleep pretty quickly.  

I now have no kiddos sleeping in my room, unless Mr. Zachary has a hard time (like he did the previous night).  Rowan has been sleeping all night in her bed... From the time we put her down until about 7am.  I do miss her sleeping with me... When it is just me and her... But the bed is too crowded when Derek is home though :)  He tends to take up the whole bed, when it is just me and him... So, it makes it worse when all three of us try to share it!  

Speaking of Derek.  He is picking up his Quad today.  Let me tell you, he is acting like it is Christmas day or something.  How funny is that?  Such a boy, I tell ya.  He did also pick up the trailer from Home Depot yesterday.  He wanted to purchase a bigger one, but I told him no, because it is just his quad right now.  If we get more later on, then we'll talk about another trailer... But for right now, the smaller one is fine.  

I can't believe today is only Tuesday.  I feel like this week has been 7 days already.  I was told yesterday to "not wish my life away", but I can't help that I wanna be home with the kiddos :)  

The only thing I can do now is do my work, so I best be off... Yippee Skippy for me!  Have a great day friends.

~Gotta Love Mondays~

If anyone knows where I can find a full nights sleep, please let me know.  I know the whole wake up many times a night is a for sure thing when you have a young baby, but I'm not used to it.  Zachary has been sleeping through the night for a while now, and now that he is doing this thing of waking up either in the middle of the night (midnight) or really early in the morning (4am), I'm dying by 12 noon!

Last night was pretty bad.  Poor Zach wasn't his normal self all day yesterday.  Cranky, droolie beyond imaginable and just blah.  His poor gums were fire red and he had loosie goosies in his diapers... No fun, for him or I.  He went to sleep pretty quickly last night and a little earlier than normal.  Just about 8pm.  Well, just about 10pm, he woke up screaming.  Poor Derek tried to comfort him in his room, but we just ended up bringing him to our room and putting him back to sleep in his bassinet.  He went back to sleep and then was up again at midnight!!  Screaming... Crying... Almost like he was in pain.  So, I gave him some baby tylenol and gave him a bottle.  He downed 4 ounces, burped 3 times!!!  and then fanny burped multiple times- Sorry Nae, I do say FART, but Fanny Burp is just what I grew up with!!

So, I'm guessing he also had gas ontop of his aching mouth.  Poor baby.  I'm thinking that the tylenol did help, because he slept until just about 5am.  Then he woke up crying again... I gave him some gas meds and fed him once more.  And then he fell asleep between Derek and I in our bed.  Ooops!!!  Can't get him too used to it, but it seemed to calm him down.

He was still asleep when I left the house at 730 this morning... Right along with his Daddy.  It was too cute!

Anywho.  Besides that, yesterday was a pretty good day.  We were out of the house by 1030am and off to do errands.  Our first stop was Walgreens Pharmacy, to pick up Zach's meds.  Well, at first, they were telling us that we couldn't pick it up because it was too soon!  Well, we had to show themour empty bottle (thank goodness I brought it!!) and be like, "Um no.  We need this, now".  So the clerk took the problem to the pharmasist (sp?) and she came back and said we were right.  I guess the insurance thought we were getting a 30 day supply and we were only getting a 10-12 day supply.  So, the insurance overrided the NO and gave us the meds!!!  And we should not have a problem from now on.

After the 15 mins spent at Walgreens, we were off to Home Depot.  We picked up two flat shelves and two corner shelves for Miss Rowan's bedroom.  We haven't gotten them up, but I'm sure they'll look good.  And the plus is that we don't have to paint them!  They came white :)  On our way out, we noticed that they had some flat-bed trailers for sale.  Well, Derek is looking for a trailer to haul his new quad, so we stopped and looked.  They were decently priced too.  And I think he might buy one in the next day or two.

He's going to need it because he is picking up his bike tomorrow!

After Home Depot came Target, where I proceeded to break a bottle of baby food... Ooops.  I felt so bad.  Oh well, its not like it never happens!  We picked up Rowan two new gym outfits.  Okay, so they are more dance than gym, but they were just too cute to pass up... And they'll work just fine!  I also got her some shoes.  They are too cute.  They look like ballerina slippers... The knew style ya know?  She picked out a pink pair and I grabbed her black ones too.  At $8.99, they were a good buy.  She is just in love with the pink ones.  Wore them all evening and then when she got up this morning, she literally got out of bed, went to her closet and put them on!!!  Too funny...

I also picked up that new Veet razorless shaving gel.  I know, it might not work, but I am tired of shaving my legs every other day... So, hopefully it will prolong that :D

We got out of there under $150!!  I was really suprised... And we got things that weren't on our list.  Hehe.  The only thing I wanted to get and didn't was a book case/tv stand.  See, we have this nitch in our bedroom and I was thinking if I could find a book case deep enough, with the top big enough to hold our tv, I'd be killing two birds with one stone.  I'd have a place to put my books and a tv stand.  But, we didn't find one deep enough... bummer.  If anyone knows where I can find one, that looks nice and not too expensive, just let me know!!

Okay guys.  I've gotta be going.  Monday's are always crazy.  And we've got plenty to do.  Tonight is gym class.  I think I'm going to take my camera to share some pics... Hopefully I won't forget it... hehe.

~Sunday Sunday~

Why am I up so early on a Sunday morning?  I just don't get it.  Why does it take Kids so long to realize that they can sleep in and not have to get up at 7 in the morning??

Oh well.  I guess that is what comes along with being a parent right?  That and the 4am feedings and the changing of the poopie diapers... brb... Actually gotta do that now :X

Okay, that was a good one... Gotta love how a baby reacts to baby food and not just formula.  Hahaha... GROSS :P

It is such a pretty morning here.  Just on the tid-bit muggy side, but still nice.  I know it is going to be a killer though later this afternoon.  Maybe we'll have to hit the pool.  But gosh, I just hate being out in the heat, even if you are in the pool.  lol...

I do have things I want to do and need to do today.  We've gotta go pick up Zachary's meds.  It seems to go much more quickly now that he is taking a higher dose.  And they still put it in a small ass bottle... Ugh!  The doctor even gave me a new prescription with a bigger quantity, but I think my insurance is messing with things.  Very frustrating!

I also want to go to Home Depot and pick up some shelves for Missy Moo's bedroom.  I need some place to put all her snow globes- the ones we've bought her and the ones she has had passed down from me.  I have a total of 7 Disney snow globes and she has 2 (not including the one she'll get this Christmas).  So, I'm guessing we'll need a few shelves, because these things are big and heavy!

Derek also wants to wash all three cars... My PT, our Tahoe and his Patrol Car.  But I'm thinking that he isn't going to want to do that in the middle of the day heat... So his booty better be getting up soon.  Actually, I'd be thinking I'm going to have to wake him up after I'm done with this entry.

My parents were talkingabout going up to Sacramento to do some home interior shopping for their new house... But I'm not sure if they are still doing that.  If they are, it will be just the 4 of us today.  Something different :D 

Tomorrow begins another week.  How fun is that?  Not.  Oh well.  I think I'm going to call my MIL and see if I can come in a little late tomorrow so I can take Miss Ro to school.  She seems to be having a hard time with me leaving for work and not taking her to school as much as she'd like, so I'm hoping I will be able to. 

Well guys, I'm going to go wake up the dear husband.  Hopefully I don't get too many pillows thrown at me ;)  I hope each and every one of you has a great Sunday... Enjoy!

~Quiet and Alone Day~

Today was the day that Derek and I were going to be "Childless".  lol... What a way to put it huh?

Anyway, I had all these plans for us.  Get up at a decent time, go to breakfast... Hang out at the house for a bit.  Maybe check out a movie and grab a late lunch.  Well, none of that happened.  I take that back, we had a late lunch, but other than that, nothing else happened.

And its all Derek's fault.  Okay, not totally, but mostly ;)  He decided that last night he would stay up and out late, BBQ-ing in the back yard with his buddies.  He didn't come to bed until 6am!  There went my breakfast...

So, after my kiddos left at 8am, I talked to Barbie for a bit online and then decided to head back to bed.  I guess, if you can't beat them, join them :)  I went to bed around 930am and didn't get my fat lazy ass out of bed until NOON.  Nice huh??  I won't be able to do that again anytime soon, so why not do it huh?

When I did get up, so did Derek.  We decided that we'd go up to Stockton to see about his new quad.  Fill out paperwork and what not.  Well, we went up there, waited around a bit, but never got to fill out the paperwork or anything.

Derek decided that we'd leave and he'd just take care of all that on Tuesday, when he goes and picks up the bike.

On the way home, we stopped at the mall.  My wedding band- which is white gold- needed to be Flashed, so I dropped that off.  We also went to the Disney store to look around.  We ended up picking up Rowan a new night gown and a Snow Globe- The Princess Castle- for a Christmas present.

Thats all we have done today.  Now we are getting ready for dinner.  Tri-tip sandwiches, corn and salad. Perfect summer dinner :)

~Long Day~

Oh boy.  It has been a very long day.  I'm tired and I wish that I could go to bed right now, but because it is only 540pm, I don't think that will be a very smart idea :)

Anywho, enough bitching.  Even though today was a very long day, it was a good day.

The trip up to Sacramento went smoothly.  We left the house at 910am and arrived at the doctors office just 5 minutes after 11.  Not bad, not bad, since his appointment was at 1115am.  When we got into the office, I was prepared to pay the $10 co-payment, but was informed that I had a credit.  I didn't have to pay.  I have NO IDEA how I had gotten a credit, since I'd been there only once and had only paid $10 then.  But oh well, what ever they said, I didn't pay the money and saved myself the $10.  lol.

Although it took 45mins- yes 45mins- for the doctor to see me, it was good news when we finally saw him.  Dr. Asaikar discharged Zachary from his care!!  He measured his cranium... lol... and then he did a few little 'tests'.  He pronouced Zach as a Healthy Infant.  Yes, we knew that, but it was good hearing it from him and having him discharge him.

Good too, because that trip is hard.  Now we just have two doctors for Zach.  His peditrician and his cardiologist. 

The ride home from Sacramento was tough.  First of all, after we picked up some McDonald's (where they screwed us at the drive thru) I ended up in the wrong lane that made me head East on I-80.  Nope, wasn't supposed to go that way... I needed to go West.  So, we rode in some traffic up to the next exit, a good 3 miles, just to get off and get back on, heading in the right direction.

Then, somewhere before Galt, we ran into traffic. There was an accident somewhere in front of us and we were in the traffic a good 30 mins before we passed it.  And of course, Miss Rowan had to inform us, somewhere half way into the wait, that she had to go Stinkies!!  Ugh.  We (remember my dad came with me) told her it was going tobe a bit of a wait, and if she couldn't wait, she could go in the bushes along side the road.  They were more like miny woods, but whatever.  She didn't bite and she held it like a big girl.  My dad, being the smart guy he is, got her mind on seeing the accident to take it off having to go stinkies.  Worked too.  Thank Goodness.  We were finally able to rush her into the bathroom at a Jack N the Box in Galt.

But poor Mr. Zachary was a cranky sort.  Cried and Screamed.  Took him forever to calm down.  And when he did, he pretty much passed out in the back seat.  Again, thankfully my dad was with me.  He helped me out a lot.

Can you see why I'm so tired?  I did get to lay down for a bit, but it didn't last long.  I'm guessing I will be going bed early this evening.  I'll just set the alarm for 10pm to make sure Zach gets his meds.

Speaking of sleep.  My Little Ones have been sleeping in their own beds!!  Rowan has been sleeping through the night in her own room.  From like 930pm to 7am!!  No coming into my room or anything!  Now I'm just having to fight the dog for room in my bed.  And my Little Man is sleeping in his crib.  He seems to like the fact that he has a lot of room and how comfy it is.  Last night he slept from 930pm until 445am.  Nice stretch of time, if you ask me.

Hmm. Oh, get this.  My PT is acting up.  Yeah, you know, the car that I just shelled out $484 to have a tune up and the brakes changed??  Well it is making this high pitched rattling noise.  Not good.  So, I called the shop this afternoon to find out what was up, and we have to bring it in on Monday.  We were kinda hoping to get it in tomorrow, but there was no way that was going to happen- according to the guy from the shop.  Ugh.  I guess we won't be driving it this weekend.

It is so hot here today.  A good 103 degrees outside.  We even lost our electricity today.  Not any longer than an hour, but I'm thinking it might have been a mini brown out.  Who knows, but we lost it and our water.  Not fun.

Well, I'm going to run now.  My dad and Rowan are making breakfast for dinner and I think I'll go help.  I hope each and every one of you have a great weekend!

~Ramblings and Updates~

Oh I'm so happy!  Our phones and our internet is up and running.  ::knock on wood::  That means we can finally get down to business and I can finally keep sane!  Nah, I was actually able to accomplish a lot with out having AOL up on my computer.  Funny huh??  Never would have thought ;)

Anywho, today is my Friday... Thanks for the reminder Cat.  So, I'm hoping that the day goes by quick like.  I wanna make it home, ASAP. 

Why??  Because my Brother is coming down today!!  Yippee.  Uncle Boo is coming to visit.  Miss Rowan is so darn excited too.  And Zach, well, he just doesn't know.  lol... But he'll remember his Uncle Boo, the guy that came and visited him in the hospital pretty much every day that he was there.

Tonight, we all (mom, dad, me, the kiddos and uncle boo) will be going out for Mexican food.  Yummy.  I've been craving Mexican food too!!  I'm thinking I'll be having the Grilled Chicken Salad.  It is sooo good.  They take this Fijita Chicken and put it over salad greens.  There is tomato and fresh avacado on the plate too.  The dressing, well, the dressing is Green Sauce!  Oh yeah, so good.  I don't know if I'll be able to wait until 630 tonight!  Hehe...

Good thing I'll be able to relax some what tonight, because tomorrow is going to be a very long day.  Mr. Zachary has a neurologist appointment in Sacramento.  Well, he is scheduled to have one, that is.  I'm not sure if the referal has gone through yet.  The lady from his peds office hasn't contacted me as of this morning to let me know if we are clear to go.  But if we are, it will be me, my daddy, Rowan and the kiddos.  Isn't my Daddy the sweetest??  He is going with me to keep me company.  And of course, Miss Rowan won't have a problem with the drive, because she'll be able to watch movies :D

I just wish that there was a Child Neurologist closer than Sacramento.  But I guess that where we are going is the best, so it is okay.  And its not like we have to go all the time though.  Every 3 months or so.  Its just that we'll be driving an hour and fourty five minutes for a 20 minute (if that) appointment and then turn around and drive an hour and fourty five minutes again.  Oh well, nothing but the best for my baby boy I guess.

Anywho.  Derek is OFF this weekend!!  No really, he is.  He isn't working ANY of his days off.  I'm totally stoked.  And get this, Saturday, my parents are going to visit my grandparents and they are planning on taking my kiddos with them!  That means, Derek and I will be on our own for the whole day!!  I'm thinking going to breakfast in the morning and then spending the day in the pool and just relaxing is how we'll spend the day.  That or we'll hop into the new car and go for a ride :)

Well guys, I've got most of my work done, but now I need to go and file... I detest that, but its gotta get done!!  So... Hi-Ho, Hi-Ho, Off to File I go...
