~Disneyland~

Well, I think it is about time to share with you all about our great trip to Disneyland... pictures included!

 

Derek and I left Tuesday morning a little later than we would have liked, but it all worked out okay.  He had a hard time when he went to board Tango (his K9) and it took a little longer than normal for me to drop the kids off... so instead of leaving at 9am like we planned, we hit the road at 945am.

After two potty breaks and one gas/food stop... we made it to Anaheim, Ca. by 245pm.  We had no problem checking in... and because I let it "slip" that we were there for our anniversary and "honeymoon" the gal at the desk upgraded us to the 14th floor with a room with a view and a king sized bed!!

 

So, Derek and I settled into our room... I called my parents to let them know we had made it and then we were off to California Disney!!

We spent the remaining Open time in California Disney (they are open from 10-7) and after riding a bunch of rides there we decided to head down to Downtown Disney to do some shopping and grab some dinner.

After some spending some time and money at the big ol Disney store in DTD (downtown disney), Derek and I went to the Rain Forest Cafe for dinner.  Yumo!

 

When we got back to our room from the afternoon out, we found our bed had been pulled down and a flowered shaped heart had been left for us... can you say "awww..."

Wednesday we spent the whole day in Disneyland... riding all the rides... We rode the Indiana Jones ride 4 times in the 3 days we were there... Space Mountain 3 times and Splash Mountain twice!

Thursday was spent at both parks... making up for rides we missed or doing the rides we loved over again :)

Then Thursday evening we had dinner at the Japanese resturant that is located right outside of the hotel (Disney Paradise Pier) we were staying at.

It was sooo good.  Now I'm officially stuck in Sushi mode.  We had the California Rolls, the Crunch Rolls and the Tuna Rolls... not to mention Beef and Chicken Teriaky.  Yumo!!!

 

Then, of course, Derek got sick later that evening... thank god it wasn't the food... and we rushed home on Friday...

So, that is pretty much the readers digest version of our trip... I'm sure I missed some stuff... but there are the pictures too :)

~Hectic in the Pickle Jar~

Hey guys.

We got back from our great vacation in Disneyland safe and sound.

 

Unfortunately, Derek came home with a rampid virus and strep-throat.

Then both kiddos come down with double ear infections with in a day of each other.

 

So, basically, in the readers digest version of my life... I haven't had time to get to the comp to share the pics of our trip.

Hope you don't mind.

We are just about off...

 

I am about 10 mins away from taking my kids to my parents house and then Derek and I will be off on our trip!!

 

I'm so totally excited, it isn't even funny!!

 

We'll be back on Friday...

~Stoppin' By For a Quick Hi~

Hey ya'll.

 

I just wanted to stop by for a quick hi.

Both of my kids are actually playing on their own right now, so I thought I'd take this quiet moment of mine to stop in.

 

Things here in the Pickle house are as crazy as ever.  We are just on the go-go-go all the time.

This weekend alone is going to be extremely busy!

 

Tomorrow morning, the kids and I are being picked up bright and early at 730am by my parents and then we are heading out to the Bay Area to see my grandma.

We are going to visit... clean... do yard work... and celebrate Mother's Day a little early.

Then, tomorrow afternoon the kids and I will be going over to my SIL's house for the celebration of Mother's Day for that side of the family.  Derek has to work, which is a huge bummer... so it will just be us three.

It will be a nice time... the kids can swim... there will be BBQ and I am going to bring stuff to make Rootbeer Floats. YUM!!

 

Then... Sunday is Mother's Day and my Birthday!!!

The kids and I will be going to my parents house to hang out over there and have some BBQ.

We'll also celebrate both Mother's Day and my birthday over there. 

Poor Derek has to work too... so he is going to miss out on two great BBQ dinners in a row!

 

Monday is back to reality... but for only a little bit.

Rowan has school and then gymnastics.  They are back to gymnastics after having it shut down last Monday because they had GymFest the weekend before.  She sure loves gymnastics... but is having a hard time with dance still.

 

And what happens on Tuesday people???  That's right... Derek and I are off to Disneyland for 3 days... Woo Freakin' Hoo.  I'm too damn excited about this!!

Derek even got me a new camera (my digital died) for my birthday and gave it to me early so I could learn how to use it well enough before we went to Disneyland!!

Let me tell you, the camera is awesome... it is seriously as small as a Cell Phone!!

 

Enough about what is coming up for us.

 

Let me tell you a little about the kiddos.

 

Rowan is doing well.  She has started to show a little attitude that I'm not liking much, but she is 4 and coming into her own person I suppose.  I just have to keep reminding her that she isn't 14 but 4.

Then there is the Zach-man.

He is still attempting using the potty.  The other morning he woke up and when I went to change his diaper, I noticed it was dry as a bone.  So I took him straight to the potty where he promptly went tinkle!  Such a big boy he is!

Yet, there is something he has been doing lately that isn't so good... he is biting :(

In the last week and a half, he has bit his sister 3 times.  Two times pretty badly and once just a nip on her belly.  Rowan was never a biter, so I'm not too sure on how to deal with it.  Any suggestions???

 

Okay, quiet time is over.  I've got a little boy pushing his way into my lap and I also got a load or two of laundry to fold and a floor to sweep :)

~Hey Guys~

Hey Guys.

I just wanted to stop in and say Hello.

 

I haven't had much time to journal lately, and that really bums be out.

What bums me out more is the idea of going on some sort of "hiatus".

 

Sad huh?

 

I just have things that I need to deal with and writing in my journal has fallen under those important things.

I hate to admit that, but it is true.

 

Plus, I'm behind on commenting.  Don't get me wrong though, if I do go on a hiatus, I'll still be commenting.  Just probably not right when the post is put up!

 

I do know that after next week, I'll be in Disneyland and I'm pretty sure that I'll have plenty to write about after that.

On the 14th, I celebrate my 24th birthday...

Then we leave on the 16th for Disneyland and will celebrate our 3rd wedding anniversary on the 17th there.

Sounds pretty fun huh?

 

Well, I hope all is well with everyone and I miss you tons.

I'll be back when I have something I really want to write about... and I'll still be around.
