Okay Dokie...

Okay, so yesterday I had some fun trying to determine what the sex of our baby will be... I came across another site that had to do with a Chinese Gender Chart.  It deals with how old the mother was when she concieved and what month she did... And that determines the sex of the child.  Suprisingly, it seemed really really dead on.  It was correct for when I got pregnant with Rowan and predicted she would be a girl, it was right for my own mother, for my friend, sister-in-law and mother-in-law.  Just too weird.  So, I'm predicted to have another girl!  Interesting.  Take a look all you mothers out there and let me know how accurate it is for you!

Anywho....

The hubby made a wonderful dinner last night.  I came home to soup cooking (Baked Potato Soup, yum) and freshly baked brownies cooling on the stove.  Double Yum since they had carmel in them!  So, all together, we had soup, Tri-Tip Sandwiches and fresh aspargus.  Such a yummy yummy dinner.  What an awesome hubby!

We did have a dinner guest, one of his friends.  So, after dinner, Rowan and I went to my bedroom and gave them their time to be boys.  Yes, which included playing video games.  Lol.  Boys will be boys.  Speaking of boys being boys, the hubby will be having friends over tonight.  What a sweetheart... He is having them over when I don't have to worry about getting up early tomorrow morning!  Awesome job babe!  Oh yes, once again, he is making dinner... Stuffed Bellpeppers... Oh yeah baby.

Tomorrow I'm going to go to Costco.  I have to pick stuff up for the hubby's bday party (drinks and hot wings) and I'm going to pick up one of Rowan's Christmas presents.  Yes, I know it is early, but if I want to get her what I want to (a Disney Princess bike), then I need to pick it up now.  They are such a good price, I'm sure they will be gone pretty soon.

Well, I'm going to go now.  Hope all have a great day.  TTFN

38 Ways to Tell the Sex of Your Baby...

According to this... I'd be having BOTH a boy and girl... Haha.  Symptoms on both sides... Wow.  I guess we'll just have to wait until October 18th.

**sorry about all the alerts... had to make sure it looked good and that I put it came from iVillage**

What could be more fun than trying to guess the sex of your baby-to-be? Everyone wants to get in the game

Don't be surprised if someone you've never met stops you at the supermarket, offering a prediction of your baby's gender. For hundreds of years, expecting mums have relied on time-tested methods of guessing their baby's sex. Even though these old wives' tales are far from foolproof, they are certainly more fun than their more reliable successors, amniocentesis and ultrasound. Enjoy guessing your baby's sex!

It's a boy if:

  • You didn't experience morning sickness in early pregnancy
  • Your baby's heart rate is less than 140 beats per minute
  • You are carrying the extra weight out in front
  • Your belly looks like a basketball
  • Your areola have darkened considerably
  • You are carrying low
  • You are craving salty or sour foods
  • You are craving protein - meats and cheese
  • Your feet are colder than they were before pregnancy
  • The hair on your legs has grown faster during pregnancy
  • Your hands are very dry
  • Your pillow faces north when you sleep
  • Dad-to-be is gaining weight too
  • Pregnancy has you looking better than ever
  • Your urine is a bright yellow in colour
  • Your nose is spreading
  • If you hang your wedding ring over your belly, it moves in circles
  • You are having headaches
  • You add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived the number is even

It's a girl if:

  • You had morning sickness early in pregnancy
  • Your baby's heart rate is at least 140 beats per minute
  • You are carrying the weight in your hips and rear
  • Your left breast is larger than your right breast
  • Your hair gets red highlights
  • You are carrying high
  • Your belly looks like a watermelon
  • You crave sweets
  • You crave fruit
  • You crave orange juice
  • You don't look quite as good as normal during pregnancy
  • You are moodier than usual during pregnancy
  • Your face breaks out more than usual
  • You refuse to eat the heel of a loaf of bread
  • Your breasts have really blossomed!
  • Your pillow faces south when you sleep
  • Your urine is a dull yellow in colour
  • If you hang your wedding ring over your belly, it moves from side to side
  • If you add your age at the time of conception and the number for the month you conceived the number is odd

Pass it along to all your pregnant friends!  LOL.  Have a great day all!

Yippee Dippee... Its Wednesday

Well, I guess that I probably should do a better entry than my last one... Which seemed to be a whole 15-20 lines... LOL.

So, all was well at the doctors office yesterday.  Thanks to all of you who commented about "what the sex could be" because of the heartbeat.  I'm really not going to follow it... But I was just curious.  It is always fun to compare stuff like that (along with the whole string on a pencil deal) to what the actual Ultra-sound says.  Speaking of which, we go on October 18th at 11am for our ultra-sound.  I'm hoping the baby is willing to show us what it is... Miss Rowan hid until I was 7 months preggo... And after we had bought all the nursery stuff... haha... Good thing it was all nutrual stuff.

Anywho.  Yesterday evening, Miss Rowan and I went to dinner at my SIL and BIL's house.  It was nice to let her play with her cousins (who are almost 12 and 9)... She doesn't see them all that often and she sure likes to play with them... We had tacos and burritos for dinner... Yum Yum.  I can always eat that (see Doctor, I do eat!!)

We didn't get home until about 915pm last night.  A little late, and because of it, I wasn't able to watch "One Tree Hill"... Thank goodness there is a thing called DVR... that way when I get home tonight, I can catch up on all my shows... hehe

We did have a little upset at the house last night.  Poor Miss Rowan has been having some accidents while sleeping lately.  She unfortunetly had two accidents at my moms house on her couch while napping and then last night, I woke up around 2am, to a wet bed, wet child and wet clothes.  Needless to say, she was upset, but I didn't make a big deal about it.  We just stripped the wet clothes, threw the wet pillows to the floor (she happens to sleep very high on the bed) and then put some towels down and went back to bed.  About 45 mins later, she did wake up and had to go potty again... I'm not sure what is going on... I guess she might have to go back to wearing pull-ups to bed instead of big girl panties... We'll see.  Maybe it might be something to talk to the doctor about or just start restricting her drinking after a certain time at night.  Humph, we'll see I guess.

The hubby is home tonight.  He'll be home for the next 5 days!!  Woo Hoo.  He did get Sunday off, so we'll be celebrating his birthday NFL-style with pizza, wings and football!!  I guess it is his birthday, so we'll do what he wants.  LOL.  It will basically be just family (all 16 of us, including my family) and maybe a few of his friends... Who knows.  It should be fun though.  I still have to go and get him a gift... Don't know what that will be... Hopefully something he'll like :)

Anywho... Enough of my rambling.  I've got to go print some checks and spend some company money.  Woo Hoo.  TTFN folks...

P.S.  Anyone catch that beautiful moon last night???

A Quick Update...

This will just be a quick update.

I had a doctors appt this morning.  It went really well.  I've lost another 4lbs and the nurse looked at me like I was crazy... Hey, I'm not doing it on purpose.  I really do eat... I swear... When I saw the doctor, he said to not worry about it.  That a lot of women don't gain weight until they hit their 5 month or so (still got a few weeks)... Mind you, I started gaining weight right away when I was pregnant with Rowan... I guess maybe because this time around that I have more weight on me, it is being used by the baby more... Oh well... I'm not unhealthy.

My blood pressure was good... 127/62... and the baby's heart beat was about 144 or 146 beats per minute.  Good deal.  Now, I only wish I knew what the saying was... About the heart beat "telling" what the sex of the baby is... Anyone know???

That is about it... I came to work a little later due to having the appt and now I've got plenty to catch up on.  Hope all have a great day and I'll be back later!  TTFN

Yippee Hooray... Its Monday...

Yippee Hooray... It is Monday.... Whoppy-de-do.

Okay, so, I'm not completely estatic that it is Monday... But hey, who would be when they are wanting to sleep in until 10am and have to get out of bed at 550am??  Humph... Not me.  But it could be worse I suppose.  Plus, as long as I'm at work, it means that I'm bringing in the money... Right??

So, "Nemo" made it through the night.  lol.  He seemed to be doing really well this morning... Evening skimming the top of the water for food.  I gave him a little bit, even though I didn't have much to offer (thanks to Princess Rowan).  I guess I'll be having to pick up some Goldfish Food sometime in the next day or so.  He has enough to make it for a few days... Just as long as Rowan doesn't go and try to feed him again.  Poor baby, thought she was helping her mama out...

The weather here seems to be making a turn for Fall.  Yippee.  It will be close to 90 degrees today and then tomorrow we will be somewhere around 80 degrees.  So, how many people do you think will end up with colds because of the drastic weather change???  I know a few will... Just as long as it isn't me!  I have a few important things coming up!

This weekend we will be celebrating my hubby's 24th birthday... Still such a baby.  He can't decide if he wants to celebrate of Friday night or on Sunday.  He works Sunday, but is hoping to get it off... That way we can have an NFL party... And he can get double the fun... Birthday and Football.

Saturday is another fun day... We (the hubby and I) are going to an Oakland A's baseball game with my mom and dad.  It has been forever since I've been to a pro-baseball game... I'm excited.  We haven't decided if we'll be taking the Princess or not.  My dad asked if we wanted to the other day, but I think we are planning on leaving her with her Auntie and Uncle.  It is an evening game, so we will be home late... So, I'm hoping she'll be okay for that long... We'll see.

I guess I have a Southern Living (I think that is what it is called) party to go to tonight.  I totally forgot!!!  I feel really bad... But I guess I canjust show up and hopefully not be thought of as too rude.  Haha.  I'm debating if bringing Rowan will be a good idea or not.  Hmm, we'll see how good of a nap she gets this afternoon and then go from there.

Well, I'm going to go now and do some work... Hope all have a fab Monday!

Nothing New and Fish Tales

Happy Fall to all... I know, I know, I'm a little late... But hey, here in the Central Valley (CA), it doesn't start to act like fall until really late in September or sometimes not even until mid-October.  Yes, a real bummer deal.  I found this cute graphic at Pats Graphics.  Some really neat stuff and  you don't have to pay for them... You just copy and save them to your computer!  But, being the good girl that I am... I thought I'd acknowledge where I got them...

This weekend has been pretty boring... We haven't done much, which sometimes can be really nice.  Oh, I did have to take my car in on Friday to get it tuned up... Ugh, that can be expensive, but I know it could have been a whole lot worse than $109.  But still...

Miss Rowan is adjusting nicely to having her ears pierced.  She is very proud of them.  She instisted on showing them off to everyone, including a car salesman at the local dealership where I take my car and where we were browsing.  She is too funny.  She calls the earrings her 'pretties'... Too cute.  She has even taken to cleaning her ears (as well as a two year old can) every once in a while in the day.  It is really too funny... Because she misses her earring and practically cleans her whole outer ear.  HAHA.

The funny girl also thought it would be nice to help mom feed her goldfish that she has in her bathroom.  Um, yeah... Not a great idea.  She calls me into the bathroom and shows me the tank... And I can barely make out the fish because all of the fish food from one container is floating around in the tank!!!  There was so much food in the tank that it jammed up the filter!  So, yeah, I quickly took the fish out (as well as I could with the littlest fish food) and started cleaning away.  I swear, it took me a good 10 minutes to make sure all the food was gone and that the water was okay.  Luckily the filter started up again and now all I am hoping is that the fish doesn't die. because she likes "Nemo".  ::crossing fingers::

It has been so warm here... I'm just waiting for it to stop being so warm and finally cool down.  I want it to be 60 and 70 degrees outside instead of hot stinky 90's!! UGH.  I almost want to take a trip into the city (San Fran) to get away from the heat... Blah.  Oh well, supposedly the weather man has said that this week will be in the low 80's... Hmm, I'm not going to hold my breath.

Oh well... I've done enough rambling.  I'm going to go attempt to make some dinner... Gotta find something to make first (hehe).  Hope all had a great weekend and have an even better week... TTFN

Big Suprise

So the hubby suprised me this afternoon and took Rowan out for a bit... He went and got her ears pierced... Here are some pics.

Daddy said he had a harder time than she did... He said there were some tears, but in the end, she was a pretty big girl.

No, I'm not upset I wasn't there... Its good Father-Daughter bonding... Now she can always tell people her Daddy got her ears pierced!

Thanks Hubby... She is beautiful!!

Have a great weekend all... TTFN

Silly Boys... Go To Bed!!!

Once again, I'm tired... Actually, take back being tired, but exhausted.  I can barely focus on what I am doing and I can barely keep my eyes open!!

The hubby had his buddies over again last night... I swear, I wish he would leave those nights to nights that I don't have to work the next morning.  I really don't mind him having his buddies over... But when a few of them get a couple of beers in them, they don't know how to use their 'inside voice' (inside or when they are 5 feet from my bedroom windows).

Don't get me wrong, I love these guys to death... But come on... Not only am I trying to sleep, but so is a two year old!  LOL.  So, a hint to any man... If you are going to have your buddies over for a beer or two, make sure your wife doesn't have to be up at 545am and make sure you aren't in the spa which is 5 feet from  your bedroom window until 1230am!!

Really, I'm not mad... Just tired... The hubby deserves to have a good time with his friends... I just wish I could of slept better... and yes, the windows were closed...

Anywho...

Our baked potato soup turned out really really well last night... It was so yummy.  We topped the soup off with crunchy bacon pieces, green onions and cheese.  Oh so good.  Luckily we had some left overs so I stole it and brought it to work for lunch... Hmm, I can't wait for 12pm to roll around.  LOL.

Tonight is Gymnastics.  I am hoping that Rowan is in a better mood this time around.  I don't think I'll be up to dealing with a child that doesn't want to listen to me.  Maybe if her Daddy goes instead... Hmm, how could I get him to go?

Well, I really don't have much to be updating on or anything too important to mention.  Or maybe I'm so tired that I can't remember... Anywho... I hope all have a wonderful day... TTFN

It is All Lisa's Fault...

Okay, Lisa mentioned taking a Quiz in her journal, so I thought I'd see what it was all about and then post what I got.  If you'd like to check it out... Head over to >>Here<<

The Quiz is based on this: This test assumes you have been in at least one long term relationship -- met the parents, had some fights and all that. If you haven't, then you may have to use your imagination -- for questions asking you about how you get along with a significant other's parents, think of how you get along with your bosses or teachers.

Well, after about ten minutes of trying to get the test done (busy site I suppose), these were my test results:

You are a XPYG--Expressive Practical Physical Giver. This makes you a Roving Spouse.

You are magnetic, charming, and impossible to resist. You have no problem with approaching your target sex -- it just comes naturally to you, and the thrill of warming up a stranger is one of your great drives. Still, very few people really know you. You don't just *feel* misunderstood -- you are. You are probably nursing a heartache that you never let on.

(don't know about this... I can approach the opposite sex very easily, but not in the sexual manor that I think they are talking about... But I can see being misunderstood by some people... but I am not nursing a heartache)

You're calm in a conflict (almost *too* calm -- a more emotional partner may wonder why you're not more engaged) and quick with affection. Fighting makes you uncomfortable, but as you avoid direct conflict your frustrations can manifest in the cold shoulder and passive-aggression, which is no better! Still, you make a loving, doting parent -- giving more love than discipline -- and your children prefer you.

(Um, I'm sooo not calm in conflict... I would have to say that I'm probably the first one to raise my voice, depending on the matter.  I would say thatI don't like to face the conflict, but I won't turn in the other direction of it.  And yes, I am a loving and doting parent and would rather give more love than discipline... I hate to see Rowan cry!)

Like an XSYG, you put so much thought and effort in what you give to your partner that you feel dismissed and unappreciated if you don't get the same in return. You also give and think so much that you can also talk yourself into cheating -- physically or emotionally -- and this can lead a cycle of conflict, guilt, conflict-avoidance, chilly atmosphere and then more cheating. But you'll stay with your partner in the long run from guilt and a desire to please.

(Okay... this is a yes and no one.  Yes, I give much thought to what I give my partner or family as a present and do feel let down if I don't get something that means something from the other person.  But no, no cheating for me... No matter what!!!  I'll be with my partner forever, but not from guilt!)

You've got to open up! You express and give so much of yourself in other ways -- don't be afraid to express what's bothering you.

(I have no problem expressing myself... Haha... The Irish in me comes out very often!)

I'm only being so hard on you because you remind me of me.

(I like this quote... Hmm.... Sounds like something my mom would say... love you Mom)

Of the 99565 people who have taken this quiz, 10.7 % are this type.

Now you go and try this Quiz out... Send a link to let me know if you've done it!  Have fun... TTFN

So, its Wednesday...

Thank you Lisa for sending me this cute little blinkie... Also from Pinky Blinkies.

Okay, so I think I might be getting the hang of these blinkies.  If anyone sees a problem with the way I have done something, please let me know, I don't want to do anything illegal!!!  Can't be doing stuff like that when you are married to a cop ;)

So, yesterday was supposed to be a girls night.  It didn't really happen like that.  My friend Amy ended up having to have dinner with her family due to her brother's birthday (darn him)... And my other friend ended up having to do some research at the college library... So, neither one of them made it over for dinner.  But my other friend made it in time to watch "One Tree Hill", which by the way, was pretty good.

The hubby had a request for dinner last night, Meatball Sandwiches and salad.  So, that is what we had.  Pretty yummy too, if I might say so myself.  Even Miss Rowan had a few meatballs... But they had to have tons and tons of cheese on them.  That kid LOVES cheese.

Tonight we are making Baked Potato Soup, similar to the soup that Tony Romas makes.  Hubby enjoys that a lot and since it has been cooler in the evenings, I thought it would be a good treat.  So, soup and steak will be on our menu tonight.  I actually can't wait to go home and start cooking!  LOL.  I've been craving soup lately, so, hopefully this will help out a little.  If not, I picked up 4 cans of New England Clam Chowder last night at the grocery store!  Haha.

So, this morning I busted out my maternity overalls!  Haha.  I've been wearing all my "fat" jeans (the ones that actually were too large until now, due to my previous weight loss) and a few pairs of maternity jeans... But because of my laziness I had nothing else clean (I would never make it as a SAHM) so I busted out my overalls.  I forgot how comfy they are... and why they are the pregnant girls bestfriend!  LOL.

The hubby and I (along with my Mom/the YaYa) have been trying to break The Princess of her paci habit.  Well, it has been about 5 days now that she hasn't had one at either nap time or bedtime.  We are very excited.  But now, we are trying to get her to sleep in her own bed... Yes, we are a co-sleeper family!!  And have been since Rowan was 5 months old.  It is/was just easier for me when she was younger to have her in bed and because the hubby works nights, it didn't really matter.  But now that she is so big and because I'm preggo, we need to get her out of our Queen sized bed ;)

Well, last night, we actually got Rowan to watch "Wizard of Oz" in her room, but sleeping in it was out of the question!!  She actually got so worked up that she was choking and basically hyperventilating... And because it was so late (1030pm) and I was so tired, I relented and let her come to bed with me.  In five minutes she was out like a light.  I guess we'll just have to try again tonight and make it a little bit earlier in the evening when she goes to bed!  That way, if she fights it, I can still get some sleep!

Well, I have a huge stack of payables to enter and some other stuff to do... I hope all have a great Wednesday!  TTFN

Hi, I'm Jennifer, and I'm new to Blinkies!

Lisa sent me an email earlier today with a link to a blinkie place... Never have been to a blinkie site or used one in my journal, so, I thought I'd try it out.  Plus, Lisa pointed me to a special page (page 8) that had some cute graphics.  Like this one:

This one is too cute.  I thought it was appropiate since I'm really due in March, but will be having the baby sometime at the end of Feb.  I hope I linked it right... Guess I'll have to test it out once I hit save... If not, I got the blinkie from Pinky Blinkies.  Check them out... There are some cute ones.

Well, I thought I'd try this out... Maybe from now on I'll be having more stuff (blinkies and other graphics) in my journal... Hmm... Will really have to work hard on the whole "I'm blonde thing"

TTFN

Sorry about the Tests!!

Lilypie Baby Days

Sorry about all the Tests!  I was trying to find a way to put this into my journal.... But I guess the true blonde in me was coming out... Anywho... I just ended up cutting and pasting this!!  LOL.  Easy way to fix it!

Sorry again... TTFN

Half Way There...

Today is Tuesday.  I'm half way there.  I wish it were Wednesday.  That would mean that I'd only have one more day before I'd be on my weekend... But I guess I'll have to live with 2 more work days...

Anywho.

Monday was a slow day.  I didn't do much.  I was very tired.  I guess the stress of the weekend and the lack of sleep caught up to me.  I was actually in bed at 730pm.  I wasn't sleeping mind you, but I was sure in heck laying in bed.  Bed is a little bit more comfy than the couch ;)  I did turn off the TV at 10pm and didn't wake up until 6am... Hmm, I could use some more sleep!

I really don't have much to update on today.  Or I am just absentminded and can't think of much.

Oh!  Tonight will be girls night... New shows on The WB... "Gilmore Girls" and "One Tree Hill"... Woo Hoo.  Friends are coming for dinner and gossip and then the shows... We are so silly!

Update more later... I think I have some picks of The Princess to put up too!  TTFN

Pictures From Bridal Shower

I've put some pictures of the bridal shower under AOL Pictures because there are so many...

Some of the pictures turned out really nice!  I was very happy with the end result of the decorations... Even if some people (witchy-witch and others) didn't appreciate them!

Oh yes, I went and tried on my bridal dress!  Thank goodness I lost 30lbs from last November until now... Even if I was seven months preggo at the time of the wedding (which is Oct. 23 and I'll only be 5), I'm sure I'd have no problem getting in the dress... It is HUGE!  Lol.

Hope all have a great evening... Going to go catch up on my celebrity gossip (ya'll catch that Britney Spears got married again????) and then watch the new shows on The WB....  TTFN

Its Over.... An Update...

So, the bridal shower is over... I'm still alive... And here is an update...

I started stressing Saturday morning when I woke up to the sky being clouded over and the wind blowing.  I couldn't believe it.  The weather had been predicted to be about 15 degrees cooler than normal (75 instead of 90) but no cloud cover and definetly no breeze!!

The wind was going pretty strong too... Which made me very nervous, especially because I had rented the stupid table cloths (and didn't want them flying away) and for the fact that I planned on having bunches of candels lit.

The hubby was great though.  He told me not to worry and proceeded to hang white lights along the fence.  What a great guy... All his idea and had even picked up the lights while working the night before... Can you imagine this guy walking into Walmart at 12am in full patrol gear and then picking up 7 boxes of Christmas lights... TOO FUNNY.

I didn't make it to Mervyn's to pick something out anything to wear (as I mentioned in my last entry)... So, I just pulled a tank-top sweater set and black pant combo out of the closet... But I did make it to Old Tyme Pastries to pick up the cupcakes... Um, yeah, the cupcakes that no one ate!!!.... Anywho... That was a 45min errand in it self.

Okay, I'm going to stop complaining and tell you that the bridal shower was really nice... The backyard looked beautiful and I just had wished that the weather had been nicer.  I will be putting some pictures up as soon as I get the chance to put them on the computer at home.

The food was good... Even though we made too many meatballs and that a whole lasagna didn't get touched... The salad and the bruschetta were a hit... I've never had so many compliments on my bruschetta before!

My friend got some really great gifts... Mostly stuff that was on her registry but a few that weren't.  She even got an hour massage!!!  How exciting is that!  Unfortunetly, I wasn't able to get her anything because of being so busy, but I'm planning on it... Her mom even got her a Dooney and Bourke purse... Too Cute!!  I'm very jealous (okay, I have two, but would love others!!!)

There were a few ladies that came that would have made the shower a whole lot better if they hadn't attended.  LOL.  I swear, I hate to be judged and it makes me very angry when I find out that I have been.  One of the groom's cousins was a complete "witch" and couldn't get over the fact that I had this nice house, nice backyard and was able to put together this nice party for only being 23 (in May!).  She just kept saying that she couldn't understand how I afforded all this stuff and kept asking what my husband did (so, he is a cop, they make pretty good money) and that we were so young!!!

UGH.  People shouldn't judge like that... Yes, we can afford a nice home, car and pool, but that doesn't mean we don't have to pay for them (which we do) and that sometimes, we have problems, like most middle-class people.  We both work (yes, he gets more than I... but I do contribute)... We make ends meet... We survive... That is all that matters and that "witch" doesn't need to know how we do it!!!

Okay, enough ranting and raving... I would have to say that the party was a hit and that I hope my friend enjoyed herself.  Now, all we have to wait for is October 9th for the bachelorette party... WOO HOO... Now that will be some good fun!!! (think stripper in fireman suit)

Well, I've gotta be going now... Got plenty to do since I wasn't at work on both Thursday and Friday!  Hope all had a great weekend and have a great week!  TTFN

Its About That Time...

I thought I'd use the color theme for the bridal shower for this entry... Berry or Sherry... What ever you want to call it... Is this color.

I've taken a break... about the only 5 minutes I've had to myself, besides my shower (and then I still had to share with Rowan)...

Now I have to get Rowan ready to be picked up by Aunt Tina and then I'm off to iron my clothes and do the last minute things...

Nope, didn't get anything new to wear either... Just pulled stuff out of my closet.  Guess that means I'll have more money in the end... Or just more money to spend on something else ;)

I'll post an update tomorrow... If I'm still alive...

Have a great weekend all... TTFN

One Busy Day...

Right now, I'm taking a break... I really do need it.  And so does Rowan... But is she napping, um, no.  Ugh.  She could use one just as much as I... But I don't have the time to take one.

This morning started early... Well, not to early, but earlier than I'm used to on my days off.

I was up at 830am (my body didn't wake me sooner, guess I'm still needing sleep) and out of the house by 940am, heading to Grand Events to pick up the stuff that I had rented for the bridal shower.

After combing the wedding isle for some ideas, tiara for the "Bride to Be" and some little decorations, I proceeded to the rental area where I wrote out a check for a whopping $116 to rent some stupid tables and chairs... Oh yeah, not to mention the stupid, stupid, stupid, table cloths at $13 a pop.

(Yes.  I did check out the table cloths there... the plastic/paper kind... but I thought they would look too cheap)

So, after backing up my truck (which I'm not really great at doing) and getting it loaded by two burly-stinking men, I'm off... In the truck that has sqeaky breaks and an A/C that needs to be boosted... For my 20 min drive home...

I get home and barely make it in the house for a soda when I'm being called by my friends mom.  I had called her on the way home to see what time she wanted to meet (we planned on 3pm) and said if you wanted to go earlier, give me a call.  So, in the end, we went earlier... Fine with me... I had things to do around the house.

So, Rowan and I went off to Costco and left the hubby/daddy at home to do some chores... After circling Costco about twice, we found what we needed and headed on our separate ways.

I've still got to go to Raley's and pick up some more items that you don't want to buy in bulk at Costco... So, after Rowan wakes up from her nap (she has fallen asleep from the time I started until this paragraph) we are off to do that.

In the mean time, I'm having to sweep the house... Dust... Probably sweep some more... Make sure I have everything I need and add what I don't to my list of stuff to pick up at Raley's... Clean a little bit (house is actually in pretty good order).... and do laundry.

I never did go and buy myself something to wear for tomorrow.  Maybe if I have the guts to leave home in the morning (instead of puttering around the house and stressing out), I'll head over to Mervyn's and pick something up for myself.  I do have to pick up the cupcakes tomorrow too... Hmm, Mervyn's and Old Tyme Pasteries are right next to each other ::getting ideas::

Anywho... I better stop rambling and venting... Even though I guess it could be worse.  But I'm off to do another load of laundry (I swear it is never ending).

I hope all have a great weekend and I'll update you all on Sunday with how the bridal shower went!!  Until then... TTFN

Some New Pictures of The Princess

I took a few new pictures of Rowan yesterday evening while waiting for my In-Laws to come over.  She can be so photogenic (?) sometimes... I just can't take the camera off of her... But if I take too long taking them, she starts to get bored.  I decided to use AOL Pictures because Photobucket has been taking a while to load my pictures and since there are a few, viewing would probably be easier with AOL Pics.

I swear, this little girl just makes me laugh for no particular reason.  I could be spitting mad at her, and she'd do something, and the next thing I know, I'm laughing at her and not remembering why I was mad in the first place.  I guess it all comes with Motherhood.  Or, maybe I've been way too emotional lately :)

Anywho.  I'm off of work today... I know, I know.  Lucky.  Its not like I really could go if I wanted to though.  The hubby has work today (training 8am-5pm) and because my parents are off to Vegas, I have no one to watch the Princess.  So lucky me gets to have one more day off to get ready for the bridal shower.

But have I done anything yet??  Um, not really.  I slept in until 10am.  I wasn't meaning to do that at all.  I guess it was my body's way of telling me that I needed some sleep, huh?  But I have showered, done some laundry and actually cleaned the kitchen.  My next task is to get Rowan to go down for a nap and me to start sweeping.  ::wish me luck::

I'm hoping the hubby comes home early this afternoon.  I would really like to go to Mervyn's... and for him to come with.  I could you some support in trying to find something to wear for the bridal shower... plus, he could help keep an eye on the kiddo too.  I've been promising Rowan shoes and have yet to get them... So, I've got to do that tonight (if I go...lol).

Tomorrow will definetly start out really early.  I want to be at Grand Events a little after they open, that way, I can get in and out of there quickly.  Plus, if I go early, I can get more done through the day.  I have to make a trip to Costco tomorrow and to the regular grocery store and set up all the tables and chairs.  Oh yeah, don't forget about ironing the table clothes... Yes, I caved in and rented those too... At $13 a pop.  Ah, I do have a very busy day ahead of me tomorrow.

Well, I can't really think of anything else right now.  I should get up and go do some things around the house... You know, be productive... Hmm, I sound real positive about all of it, I know.  LOL.  Going now.  Hope all have a fab day.  TTFN

PS.  I've come back to put this in here... If you get a double alert about my entry.. You are the lucky one!  I'm really getting fed up about not getting alerts for entries/comments!!!  I know I can't be the only one.  I mean, yah, I'm getting some alerts for some journals, but not others... And I haven't received a stinking alert for one single comment I've gotten!  Really going to have a cow any minute!!  ::breathe one, two, three...breathe:: Okay, going to go do something productive now...  :)

It is happening again...

My alerts are being funky again.  I had a few alerts in my in-box this morning for a few journals... Thought that was off, so I checked my favorite list.  Yep, there were new journal entries for some of my favorite journals and I didn't get the alerts.  Hmm, what is up with that.

Anywho.

We happen to be running peppers again... Pretty sure they are the jalapeno peppers not the greek... but which ever one it is, it is sure killing all of us in the office.  There is a cough here, a hack there, a sneeze and a wheeze over younder.  Ugh, guess the fumes are the hazards of working in a pickle/pepper plant.  Oh well, I think we'll just shut the door and turn on the A/C and hope that we don't die from the fumes.  ::crossing fingers::

The hubby did really well last night at poker.  He brought home $85.  Actually, because he had thrown in $30, so he only won $55, but doesn't winning $85 sound better than $55??  LOL.  So, he says that he will be buying his daughter a nice lunch today after they go grocery shopping.

I had a nice time with my friends last night.  Dinner was yummy.  Chicken, salad and pasta roni.  It was nice to just have some grown up talk.  But of course, Ms. Princess had to have her time with the girls too :)  She is too funny.

We are having his parents over for dinner tonight.  He is planning the dinner, so we will be having pot roast, mashed potatos, corn and a veggie.  Plus his mom said she'd bring over meatballs with a BBQ sauce as an appetizer (sp?) and a dessert.  Yum Yum.  Hopefully it will be something chocolate!

Speaking of parents.  My parents are going to Las Vegas this weekend.  Doesn't that sound like a ton of fun... And it will just be the two of them!  They are going on a lot of trips lately, which I think is absolutely great!  Next month they are going to Mexico.  ::jealous::

Count down to the bridal shower is 4 days.  4 days to get the house clean, luckily the hubby is helping out with that.  4 days to make sure I have all in order and 4 days to get my head on straight!  LOL.  Actually, I'm pretty excited, but I'm also the biggest worry-wort.  The weather for Saturday is supposed to change pretty drastically.  We are going from 100 degree weather to 75 degree weather!  Plus, the bridal shower will at 6pm.  So, I'm hoping that it doesn't get too cold!  See, I am a worry-wort.

Okay, well, I've rambled on enough for right now.  I've got a few deposits that I have to enter into the computer and then a HUGE stack of payables to enter.  Oh so much fun.  I hope all have a great Wednesday... TTFN

Just a Short Note...

I've got a mean headache today.  Not too sure why I do... But I know even if I take tylenol (which I'm doing as I write... and all I can take while preggo) it won't help.  I probably need some caffine... But I'm trying to cut down because I do drink too much of it and it isn't that great to have caffine while preggo.  Man, you can't do anything while you are preggo... :)  Oh well, guess it is all for a good cause.

Today has been a pretty busy day at work.  Had to work on payroll and make sure all got the correct pay because of the holiday.  Had to match checks with payables, have them signed and then put the signed checks into envelopes.  Then, I had to figure out some purchase orders that were messed up and match those to the correct payables... Put more checks, payroll this time, into envelopes... And now I'm finally getting into my HUGE stack of payables that still have to be entered.

Luckily, I don't have much to do tonight.  I finished the bridal shower favors last night... With Rowan's help... She helped by eating the candy (of course), putting the hershey kiss on the tulle and then ripping the paper (you know, the white piece that sticks out the top) off the kiss... I guess she didn't like that the paper was there.  I swear, she has a mild case of OCD... LOL.

The Hubby has a poker game tonight at his brother's house.  That leaves me and the Princess alone tonight.  I actually think I'm going to pull a "Girls Night" since he'll be having his "Boys Night".  So, I figure my friends will come for dinner... Yummy Chicken and anything else that I throw together.  I'm sure Rowan would like to see the 'girls' too.

But other than that... There isn't much to report.  I can't think of anything important or interesting to put in the entry right this second... So, I guess I'll be off for now.

I hope all have a great day and evening... TTFN

Oh I Wish it Was Friday!

So, what is it with Monday's?  Could someone please explain the reason why Monday's are usually so hectic and crazy?  I'm kinda curious as to why they are...  I'm sure it has something to do with fixing all the problems that occured over the weekend... But hey, who knows.

Sunday was a very nice day... The weather was awesome and there was a wonderful breeze blowing.  I even turned off our A/C and opened up the house later in the afternoon.  Ah, how nice.

It was another lazy day.  I did go to breakfast with my parents... After my Daddy had jumped out of the airplane (he had fun).  It was an awesome breakfast too.  Corned beef hash, scrambled eggs and hashbrowns.  Oh Yum Yum.  I swear, if I could have a breakfast like that every morning, I'd weigh 2000lbs.  Good thing I don't.

We spent the rest of the day watching football and our fantasy football scores rise and fall.  Hubby did good through out the day and I was doing really well in the morning, but finally lost in the end.  Bummer... Hopefully this next week will be better for me ;)

I did accomplish a few things for the bridal shower again.  With the help of the hubby, I cleaned out a bunch of votive candel holders.  They had purple candles in them from my wedding... But purple won't match the berry and white them for the bridal shower... So, I had to remove those.  I also cut ribbon for my favors.  I'm going to be picking up a few bags of Hershey Kisses after work... That way my friend Amy and I can put them together tonight.  Friends are a great thing...

It is going to be another night of football in my house.  The hubby is having some friends over for dinner (who knows what) and to watch the game.  I don't mind though... His friends are pretty cool and don't mind me sticking my nose into their business and they don't mind if Rowan decides to hang with the guys instead of the girls :)  She is such a tom-boy sometimes.

Well, it is Monday, like I mentioned before... So, being that is is crazy and that I have plenty of things to catch up to... I better be getting to it all.  Hope all have a fabulous Monday and a great week!

Oh yes... It is Lisa's birthday today... Make sure you make your way over to her and wish her a Very Happy Birthday!  TTFN

Another Lazy Day down... One to go :)

This is a picture of Rowan last summer (2003).  We were on our first house boat ride and she seemed to really enjoy the day at the lake.  I just love this photo... So, I thought I'd share it.

It was another lazy day today in our house... The Princess didn't get me up until 10am!  I wasn't so suprised that we had slept late, with waking up late yesterday morning and then taking a nap, we were up pretty late.  So, sleeping in this morning seemed like something that was bound to happen.

I made breakfast this morning.  Scrambled eggs, ham steak, linguica (sp?) and potatos.  It was good... But going out to breakfast is definetly better.  Maybe that is something I can get out of the hubby tomorrow, since I served him breakfast in bed!  Actually, we all ate in bed this morning.  The mornings that I do make breakfast and the hubby worked the night before, we'll sneak in, wake him up and serve breakfast in bed... And then join him in eating... In bed.  It was a nice morning.

I actually accomplished some things.  I did a few loads of laundry and folded it.  I attempted to sweep, but just haven't finished.  Like I have said, it has been a lazy day... Again.

I did take care of the rental stuff for the bridal shower.  But I didn't even leave the house.  LOL... I just called them up and put everything I needed on hold... All I had to do was tell them what I wanted and give them a credit card to hold it.  That easy.  I just have to go and pick it up on Friday...

But, at I was talking to this person on the phone, I realized that I have many a thing that I still have to get.  I need plastic plates, utensils, drinks, hershey kisses (for the favors I'm making), and to order the cupcakes for the dessert.  Ugh, I guess maybe that is something I should do tomorrow.

Rowan and I were going to go shoe shopping... For her... Not me... She has seriously grown out of all her shoes... And I'm tired of seeing her just wearing sandals.  Time for some new tennis shoes and maybe some cute loafer/mary jane type shoes.  Maybe shoe shopping will be in the winds for tomorrow.

I just got off the phone with my mom.  My dad and her were inviting me, Rowan and the hubby to breakfast tomorrow... Wow... Could it get any better?  Breakfast will be after something special though... My dad (who was in the 82 Airborne) is making a tandom jump from an airplane tomorrow morning at 9am!!!  WOO HOO.  You go Daddy!  I just hope he enjoys it as much as he used to jumping from the airplanes when he was younger!  Good luck Dad and Have fun!

Well, I'm going to go now.  Going to go finish watching Cops with Rowan and then maybe catch a movie on TV.  Have a great rest of the weekend all!  TTFN

Remembering 9/11

I remember getting up that morning, dreading going to work.  I was working at a local Raley's and they had me coming in at the opening shift... 7am.  I was pregnant with Rowan, about 5 months along and I was still dealing with some morning sickness and I was dreading waking up.

As I was getting ready that morning in my mom and dad's room (Hubby and I were living there at the time), something on the TV caught my attention.  A plane had flown into one of the Twin Towers in New York.  It was still pretty early and they hadn't really known what was going on... Was it an accident or was it terrorism?

I yelled to mom my about what was going on and we sat on her bed in disbelief.  Then, the second plane hit the other tower.  We knew right then that the first plane wasn't an accident... Someone was doing this on purpose.

I went upstairs and woke the hubby up... He had only been home for a few hours from work and was asleep... I mentioned something about both towers being hit in New York and one of the first things out of his mind was "Osama something"... He couldn't remember his name, but he knew that one of his buddies in the FBI had been tracking this guy for a while... It is weird that he just knew...

When I left for my 7 minute car drive to work, I switched my FM radio station off and over to one of the AM stations from the Bay Area.  I wanted news and now.  The whole way to work, I listened to this broadcast... I even remember one of the gentlemen on the radio saying how scared his was, because his daughter worked in the Pentagon... And it just had been hit (he did hear from his daughter, she was alright).

The whole day at work, we listened to the radio.  Someone at the Raley's corporate office shut off the normal radio and switched it to the news so we could find out what was going on.  When customers would come in, we'd ask them if there was any more news... That day was a slow day... The whole nation had come to a complete hault.

I just remember taking a customers groceries out to their car, feeling Rowan bouncing around in my stomach and me wondering, "Is this world safe enough for us to bring a baby into?"  It was a sad day... Something I will never forget.

I just want to thank everyone who gave their life to try to save others and the family's who lost their loved ones... And our American Heros (be them soldiers, firefighters and police)... Who give their lives for us daily!

9/11 will never be forgotten....

My Lazy Day Friday...

I'm noticing a lot today that some things are going on in J-Land... I am not quite sure what it is or what it is about... But I'm guessing I really don't want to be in the mix of it... If what has been said is true, than that is a sad story... And if people are taking things hard because they might have been decieved, I'm sorry for you... I just hope, in time, the truth will come out and all will eventually feel better about the situation at hand...

::stepping of my soap box now::

Today was a great day... I was so completely lazy, it felt awesome!

We didn't get out of bed until 930am... WOO HOO.  Then later in the afternoon, Rowan and I took a two hour nap... Can you say, WOO HOO again??  Oh my, what a day...

I even got a Jamba Juice this evening and had dinner with my folks... Could this day get any better?  Being lazy and having a great meal... That is double the satisfaction points.

But alas, tomorrow is another day.  I have a trip to Grand Events to hopefully put what I need for the Bridal Shower on hold and a house to clean.  Hmm, so much fun.  But maybe with some luck, I will be able to sleep in again... Ah, bliss.

Then after all that, with luck again, I'll be able to hang out with my friend.  That would be nice since being at home with just the munskin sometimes can get boring.  Don't get me wrong, I love the child to death... But sometimes, you just need some adult interaction!

Oh yes, I was totally blonde again yesterday (hehe, it is funny to say that now that I'm brunette...by bottle that is)... I didn't bring my camera to Rowan's gymnastic class.  I'm kinda glad I didn't though, she was a monster!  I am thinking next time it will be someone other than me taking her to class... She just doesn't listen to me well when she needs to pay attention... Something about me being her mother or something doesn't get through ;)

Well, I'm going to go now.  I hope all have a great weekend and no one takes offense to what I mentioned at the beginning of my entry.  Like I said, I don't really know what is going on... and I don't want to be involved, I just hope it works out for all in the end.

TTFN all...

Following others...

Well, I've noticed a lot of people doing "Thankful Thursday"... and check out what Kathi and Angel are thankful for...

So, I'd thought I'd participate:

I'm Thankful For

*My family always being there when I need them

*My daughter... who always brings a smile to my face

*Jobs... with out mine or my husbands, where would I be? LOL

*Ice Cream... gotta have some sweets, ya know

*Computers... To pay the bills and to talk to friends

*J-Land... Because of all the great people I've met and started to meet

Well, I suppose that is all I'm thankful for at the moment... I know there is probably more... But I'm in the mode to leave work, so it will have to wait!  LOL

Now tell us what you are Thankful For!

Tootie Frutie...

Ok... My journal title subject has nothing to do with my entry... I was just feeling silly!

I got a many of comments about me throwing this bridal shower for my friend alone... I know, it doesn't seem very fair at all to many of you... Actually, to me either.  But when you are "Matron of Honor" (thank you Lisa for the correction... yes, I knew that... but like you said, I feel old hearing that), I guess it is part of your duties to suck it up and take it like a man... Um, woman.

I explained to Kathi in an email that the other bridesmaids aren't really helping her plan the wedding and have not even offered to help me throw either party... I guess they aren't able to afford to help and they assume with my husband having such a 'great paying job' (LOL) that I can afford to do it all.

I guess they don't really realize that I have a house payment, car payment, credit cards, utilites and many other things to pay for... On a police man's pay!  A police man who works in a little town not some big ol' city!  Yes, I do have a job, but that doesn't bring in enough to pay for everything!

So, I have come to the decision that this party will be a simple party.  I'm going to Costco, one of my favorite places to go, and picking up 3 frozen Lasanga's... Some salad and garlic bread.  Easy... tasty... and pretty much the cheapest plan I could come up with.  Luckily, like I mentioned before, my friends mom will be helping me out... Thats a BIG PLUS.

Anywho... Enough of the bridal shower... I'd do it no matter what... She is a great friend who deserves a great party... And that she will get!

Last night was a pretty nice evening... My hubby had training yesterday so he was able to be home last night with us.  We had a wonderful dinner!  Yumm Yumm.  Filet Mignons, baked potatos and steamed carrots!  It was sooo good.  Actually, too good.  I couldn't even finish my food.  LOL.  But boy, did the Princess Rowan whoof down her food.  She even had two helpings of steak and carrots (Rowan sized that is).

Rowan and her Daddy did some swimming last night... Oh man, it was so warm.  It was still like 95 degrees at 530pm.  Ugh, horrible if you ask me!  I was excited to see a Thunderstorm on our forcast for next week.  If the weather people are right, we'll be seeing rain on Wednesday!  WOO HOO.  Just as long as it doesn't rain on Saturday!

Tonight is Gymnastics for Rowan.  If I'm not silly, I'll try to remember to bring my camera and get some pictures of my monkey in action!  But for now, I must go.  Gotta actually do some work to get paid... TTFN

Chairs and Tables... Oh My!

Has any one noticed that things are becoming more and more expensive lately?  I mean, why is it that a gallon of milk costs more than a gallon of gas?  And a since when does a pound of hamburger cost $6??  Um, what in the world?

I've mentioned before that I'm throwing a Bridal Shower for my friend... I am the Maid Of Honor... It is my duty.  So, today, I called the local party rental store to get some prices.

Boy, did they blow my mind!

First, I asked if there was a minimum for delivery.  She told me that there wasn't a minimum of rentals, just a fee... A fee of $75!!!  Uh, okay.  Forget that, I'll just use the truck.  It is there for that reason, right?

So, I go on to ask how much chairs would be.  She gives me the list of chair... Starting from $1.20 to $8! Oh my.  All I want are the plastic white ones... The cheapest please.  So, that is 30 chairs, for $1.20 each.  Lets do the math.  Just to rent the chairs, it is going to be a good $36.

Next was the tables.  I'm going to have about 30 people at the party, so I want the tables to fit 10-12 people at each.  The tables that I want are $11.95 each.  Ok, more math.  3 tables, at $11.95 is another $36.

So, I'm going to fork over around $72 for some table and chairs.  Don't even ask me about stupid table cloths.  They want $13 for one darn piece of linen!  No thanks.  I'll find something else that could work.  Not going to shell out all of my money thank you.

Plus, I still have to pay for all the food and drinks.  Thank God her mom has told me she will help me pay for either the food or drinks.  So, depending on how much I pay for either one, I'll be getting some money back...

Oh, did I also mention that I am throwing the bachelorette party too??? ALONE.  I did ask for people to bring $20 for some 'entertainment' on the invite... but we'll see how many people do that!

Anywho... Enough of my grumbling.

The hubby and Rowan were home yesterday.  They cleaned house and folded laundry.  So that was a plus on my board.  He also took the Princess shopping and bought her a few new things.  Mr. Potato Head and Spidy-man are some new additions to her toy box... LOL.  Welcome home... Hope you get played with more than twice!

Honey is also doing early Christmas shopping.  I'm glad he has an idea of what he wants to get me... Because I have NO IDEA on what I will be getting him.  He wants a Lazy-Boy recliner... But if I were to get him that, that is the only present he'd get!  LOL.

Well, I gotta go and get some stuff done.  I'm really just wanting to leave.  I don't have much to do and would rather be napping at home.  Plus, I can't wait for dinner... Yummy Steak and potatos!  Woo Hoo.

TTFN All

Its been a while...

Well, it has been a while hasn't it.  I've tried to be good and keep up on my duties to leave comments on all my favorite journals... But I've neglected mine.

Our weekend has been very full.  Like I mentioned before, my grandparents were up for a visit and that pretty much demanded most of our time.  We were over there Saturday afternoon through the evening and then they came to see our pool and floor Sunday... And we all were back over my parents for dinner that night too.

Sunday was just a crazy day... We cleaned, cleaned, cleaned and cleaned some more.  It was good to get the whole house cleaned at one time... Instead of working from one room to another in a couple of days.

I will be having a Bridal Shower on the 18th so it will be nice to have the house spick n span for that...

Okay, I took a few pictures this evening of my 'new hair'.  The hair that my husband has yet to get used to... But I secretly think he likes.... These pictures aren't the greatest because I took them myself and I'm pretty tired.  Heck, I'm very tired!

So, with my pleasure... Do I present these pictures of my very tired face and new hair:

Like I've mentioned before, the hair is a little redder than I wanted... And now I've found some really blonde patches... But you all get the gist from the pictures of what I look like... Compared to the picture in "the about me" section.  So tomorrow morning, after my dreaded dentist appointment, I will be calling my very much loved hair lady and asking her if I could be squeezed in before the 18th and have the blonde splotches removed.  She is usually packed and I guess if she can't get me in, I'll survive, but I'll be ready with some answers when I am asked about the blonde ;)

We went to a friend of ours house this evening for a BBQ... But the Princess and I left early... Hey, I was there 2 hours and I can't help it if I don't feel well.  The hubby is still there partyingit up... good for him... he deserves it.  He just better not be waking my butt up when he gets home later this evening ;)

Well, I guess I'll go watch "Wizard of Oz" with the Princess for um, the millionth time.  Hope all had a great Holiday weekend and have a great rest of the week.  TTFN

Done Gone and Did It

I done gone and did it... I dyed my hair!

Its not as dark as I was thinking it would be... but it has plenty of red in it... Plus, with putting it on top of my blonde... It lightened it up a lot.

I will have to put a picture up here... As soon as I get time...

This weekend will be very busy.  My grandparents, Rowan's great-grandparents are coming for a visit (staying at my mom's) and I'm sure I'll be expected to be over there most of the weekend.

So, I'll get the picture up ASAP.

Oh yes, the hubby has asked for his wife back... He is too funny.  He has requested his blonde wife back... I told him he'd get used to it and after a fews shampoo's, it won't be as vibrant.  Oh well, life goes on...

And YES... I do like my hair.  I think it will take me some getting used to... But it is something different and something I definetly needed.

So, until I have time to get back and update with a picture, I hope all have a fab weekend!  TTFN.

Feeling Icky and Wanting a Change...

I really don't feel well this morning.  I'm feeling very icky.  Icky is a good word to discribe the way I feel I think... I won't go into detail, but anyone that has had morning sickness can probably relate.

I was hoping this morning sickness junk would be slowing down or not coming every morning... But no... Every morning this week has been horrible.  I know it is all for a good cause, but it sure can wear someone down.  Ya know?  I don't really recall when I stopped having morning sickness with Princess Rowan... But I'm pretty sure it was somewhere around 16-18 weeks... Hmph.  I guess I got a few more weeks (2-4) before I can start feeling better... Hopefully it will be sooner than later, huh?

So, I mentioned that I wanted a change in my title.  About every other month, I go through this thing that I want to do something different with my hair.  I've been blonde all my life... be it natural, and then later with highlights... So, I really haven't ever been anything but blonde.  I have chopped my hair... Really short too (well, for me it was).

In Junior High and High School my hair was down to the middle of my back... All the way until after I had Rowan it was like that.  I never knew anything different.  While I was pregnant with Rowan, I wanted to chop my hair off pretty badly... But my hair lady was against it.  She didn't want me to do anything while I was pregnant, fearing that it was caused by me being pregnant and going through that "I'm going to have a kid, now I need to chop my hair" stage.  Maybe she was right... I was actually kind of glad she convinced me not to.

But then, when Rowan was about 4 months old... My hair went from the middle of my back to my shoulders.  And by the time Rowan was 8 or 9 months old... It was at my chin!  For someone who was always able to pull their hair up at any given moment... It was sure different.

I've also added more blonde... brown... even red highlights over the last few years.  But recently, I've been wanting to go dark.  My hair is naturally getting darker... And I've mentioned to my hair lady that I would like to try something different... Dark...  She said that I could probably get away with it... And then the other day I saw a picture of Reese Witherspoon's hair and fell in love with it!

So, what do you all think about this??  I'm still not sure if I could actually be anything than blonde... But geeze, it is such a rich pretty color.  And I figure, with my blue eyes, I could maybe pull it off??

Who knows.  I go tomorrow morning at 830am.  I'm going to take the picture along with me and see what my hair lady says.  I know it is drastic... I've always been the "perfect California girl" with blonde hair and blue eyes...  And the hubby loves the blonde hair... But I could really use something different.

I guess we'll just have to wait and see....

Well... I need to go and get some stuff done.  I'll definetly update tomorrow... After our Fantasy Football draft :)

Hope all have a great day... TTFN

Just A Quick Note...

We are thinking about getting a new puppy... Or doggie....

The hubby has been mentioning it a lot lately... And it came up again yesterday.  At first he had been mentioning getting another Rotty, like our Lola Dog.

Then he mentioned something about getting a lab... Be it black, yellow or chocolate.  I'd love to have either one... But a chocolate one would be so pretty.

But, the other day, he mentions something about a dog at the training center that the owner is pondering about.  I guess if the dog doesn't succeed in what she is training to do, she might be up for sale.

This is a picture of her... Its not great, but gives you the idea....

I guess she is 12months old... Is supposedly being trained for dope/drug work... But if she doesn't succeed... We might be bringing her home.  The only probably with her is that she is already 12months old and has an extremely HIGH play drive (which is what is wanted with drug dogs).  So, basically, she has no obedince.  Hmmph.

I'd rather start out with a puppy... But I'd happily bring in this dog if she needed a home.

So, are we crazy?  Do we want another dog?  Which would techincally (sp?) be our third?  We have the Lola dog and Hubby's Tango (who is kenneled most of the time)... Could we survive with a 3rd??

Ugh, I think we are crazy... But who can pass up a cute little face??

Ugh, Traffic Sucks...

So, I guess traffic is the hazards of a commute... No matter how long or short it is.  Yes, it took me FOREVER to get to work again today.  I guess there was a big accident that shut down pretty much both sides of the freeway about 10 miles ahead of my exit I take for work.

So... Instead of these people sitting in traffic... They are taking my exit and heading down the road I take to work to get to where they are going, using various detours.  That is all nice and dandy... I don't mind... But when it takes me 30 minutes to get down a road that usually takes me 10-15 minutes, I get a little annoyed.  Luckily, our 'boss' wasn't going to be in the office at his usual 8am so we didn't get yelled at for not being there at 8am to answer phones... phones that usually don't ring until um, about 820-830am.  UGH...

ANYWHO.... enough of my grumbling!

Yesterday I mentioned that I stayed home and was going to do some things around the house... So, well, yeah... Nothing got done.  I swear, I was having a horrible day.  I felt gross all day... Morning sickness does that to you... And I just couldn't get out of my 'funk'.

The hubby had training all day yesterday... 8-5am... Then after training, he went and signed up for Akedo (sp?)... A type of martial arts.  Um, yeah, don't ask me why... But him and a few buddies did.  So, the hubby didn't return home until 815 last night.  Luckily for him (lol) he brought home food with him!

Of course, since I've been on this Jamba Juice crazy, he was a sweet heart and got one of those for me.  So, that was my dinner last night... A HUGE Citrus Breeze Jamba Juice... And boy, was it yummy.

Oh yeah, the Princess Rowan and I watched "Wizard of Oz" yesterday for a total of 3 times!!!  OMG.  Then, she wanted to take it to her YaYa's this morning... I happily let her ;)  Have fun watching "Rainbow" YaYa :)

Well, I've got plenty of stuff to catch up on today.  Hope all have a wonderful Wednesday!  TTFN
