The Countdown Has Begun...

10 days and Counting until we leave for Disneyland!!

 

Now that it is only 10 days away, I think the time has slowed down a bit... I know when it gets down to 3-4 days it will drag :)

 

But at least I'm not the only one that is overly excited now...

Rowan asks every day how many more days... or I'll tell her, then we'll count on our fingers or the calendar and she gets this big ol' smile on her face and says she can't wait!

Zachary is even attempting to say Disneyland!!  Then he'll tell you, "Me, Me.  RoRo, Mommy Daddy, 'Disneyland' (or his word for it)".  When he sees a commercial on TV for it, he will point at the TV and says "Me Go"... lol.  What a Cutie he is  :)

 

I know the days will go quickly for one person in my family... Derek!  He is seriously working almost every day up until we leave! 

He has today off... Then works Thurs/Fri/Sat OT, Sun-Weds normal days... then has Weds/Thurs off... but works OT Fri/Sat!!  Saturday is the day before we leave and he has to work one of the two special events in his town that day... Either the street faire or the Cinco De Mayo event at the Flea Market...

I guess I'll be packing for the family once again :)

 

I'll keep busy too... just not as busy as he will!!

 

Like tomorrow, I'm going to get my hair done.  I think I'll frustrate my hair lady and tell her I want to go blonde again :)  I love the dark hair, but I've been seeing all these blonde people and I miss my hair being that color!! 

It is still a bit up in the air though... 'Cause I could always put more blonde highlights in... but I'm kinda throwing the idea around to make it all blonde!!  Hehe.

 

Then, I work Mon-Thurs next week.  So, that is a lot of free time taken up... haha.

Rowan and I go and get Pedicures on the Friday before we leave... I thought I'd let her do something special for such a special trip :)  She is really excited about being such a big girl... lol.

 

Then the Saturday before, we have her Gymfest in the morning and a birthday party in the afternoon. 

 

Well shoot... maybe time will go by quicker than I am thinking... lol

I'm thinking that 17 days is going to take a bit longer than I thougt it would... esepcially now after what the UPS man brought us yesterday.

Yesterday, the UPS man brought us our Disneyland Packet.  Derek called me around noon yesterday and told me that he and the kiddos had already broken into it.  Lol.  I think he might be a bit excited about our trip... Actually, I know he is, but he isn't as excited as Rowan and I :)

Speaking of Rowan and being excited...

Derek had called me at work yesterday to tell me that Rowan had colored a picture of Cinderella.  But not only had she colored it, she had cut it out... 'cause she wants to take it with her to Disneyland to give to Cinderella when she sees her!!

Isn't that the sweetest thing???

 

Anyways, back to our Disneyland packet...

 

It came with a bunch of cool things:

A $20 Gift Card that we can use anywhere in the park... for food or souvenirs.

Three Souvenir Park Hopper Tickets (because Zach is 2, we don't have to pay for him).

Goodness, I swear, I feel like a little kid when it comes to this trip.  I really think I'm just really excited about seeing Rowan and how excited and in awe she is going to be...

Sometimes...

There are things in the universe that does work in your favor.

Let me explain.

I had been kinda stressing about how I'm going to work our budget and have spending money for Disneyland....

I had come to the conclusion that things were going to be SUPER tight until we got home from there... Not a big deal.  But it was just something that had been weighing on my mind.

 

So, yesterday afternoon, I go and check my mail.  I hadn't checked it all week long... 'cause I hate checking it.  Because nothing good comes in the mail, right?

Well, yesterday, all that changed!

 

I got a notice from my mortgage company stating that our mortgage was going down (YAY!!) and as I open up the rest of the paper work, I notice there is a check attached!!

A Check!!

Oh my god. 

I couldn't have been happier!!

The check is a very nice amount... Let me tell you...

And I couldn't be happier because now I don't have to worry about taking more money out of our pockets... I still have to take a bit, but not as much as I planned!!

Ah, sometimes, the universe does work for you...

Proud

Okay, so I'm a pretty Proud of my Big Boy today...

 

This morning, while getting Zachary dressed, he refused to wear his Pull-Ups.  I know, why be proud of that?  Well, he refused because he wanted to wear his big boy "Cars" Undies.

He kept saying "Undies" over and over...

He was so insistant that I couldn't say No.  Now, I don't normally let him wear his Big Boy Undies when we go out and do errands for a long period of time... only at home or just something quick... like a car ride to my parents or something.

Well, today, we were going to my parents house and then to their neighbors for a birthday party...

 

Anyways, to make a long story a bit shorter than it would have been...

Zach has been wearing Big Boy Undies all day long with out an Accident!!!

I'm so proud of him...

He has told someone (be it me or my parents) when he had to go to the bathroom all day today.

He even napped in his Big Boy Undies for over an hour with out having an accident...

Then, while we went to Target, he told me he had to go Pee and Stinkies!  I was so proud of him that I bought him some new Big Boy Undies, just like his Daddy.  Boxer Briefs... they are the cutest thing!! (if little boy undies can be cute... lol)

I know, this might not be exciting to some people, but to me it is... It means that Diapers will no longer have to be bought and my Son is getting to be a Big Boy!!

Okay, so I just had to share that...

Getting Excited!!

Only 24 more days until we leave for Disneyland...

 

May 6th can't come quick enough... Although, I wish we had a little more time to save up some more money.  Shoot, we haven't saved any yet... lol.

Derek is working MAJOR OT in the next few weeks so we have some extra money to spend down there... in fact, I think I might have to use one of my whole checks as spending money... lol

Guess I should have planned more when it came to getting our tax returns back... lol

 

Anyways...

Enough about money worries!!

 

Disneyland is coming fast...

And I don't know who is more excited... Rowan or Me?  Every day we take a paper off the paper chain that we made to count down...

Or I just simply remind her of how many days...

She and I have also talked over many times of what we will be doing when we get there... where we will be having breakfast and who we are going to see and what rides we will go on...

haha

 

Ahhh... 24 days will go back so fast!!!

I can't wait ;)

I'm Leaving... On a Jet Plane...

Okay, so I'm not leaving on a jet plane.  Rather our Chevy Tahoe...

 

But in about an hour, the kids, hubby and I will be on our way to beautiful Pismo Beach California.

 

I promise to have fun and take plenty of pictures :)
