Girl Time...

This evening was all about Rowan and Me.

It was an evening of Girl Time :)

 

While Zachary spent the evening at my parents... and the night... Rowan and I spent some Girl Time together.

 

First, it was off to Gymnastics.  Having it at 7pm is hard on both of us... we both walk away from there tired!!  I really don't like having her class that late, but until there is a spot open in the 6pm class, there is nothing much I can do....

After Gymnastics, I asked Rowan what she wanted for dinner... I knew what she'd say... so when she said Chinese, I was already heading for Panda Express... lol.

That girl loves "Sweet and Sour Pork"! 

So we drove there and chatted about anything and everything that my girl would bring up...

I think sometimes, she feels a bit left out with her brother around... so, when my parents suggest Girl Time, I like to take them up on the offer :)

 

Right now, we are sitting at the table eating our Panda Express (I LOVE their Orange Chicken) and watching "Cinderella Story".

It a short bit, we will be heading to bed...

I'm not sure if I'll allow the Monster Girl to sleep with me - Derek is working OT tonight... 7pm-6am- or if I'll make her sleep in her room... lol.

Knowing her, even if I put her in her room, she'll end up in my bed by 2am :) 

Gotta love a sneaky child....

 

Well, I'm off to finish my Panda Express and then put my PJ's on...

I can't think of too much to write, so I thought I'd share these....

This is Rowan at her Preschool Graduation... she felt like such a big girl getting flowers from her mommy and daddy...

The Smell of Chlorine!

Gosh, I love the smell of chlorine... is that weird or what?

I guess it has a lot to do with the fact that I did swimming and played water polo in high school and a bit at the local JC... and I miss them...

So, smelling chlorine on my skin takes me back...

 

This afternoon, the kids and I swam for a while over at my parents.  I can't believe how much both are excelling in it...

Rowan can now swim from the shallow end to the deep end with out having anyone next to her...

And Zachary... goodness... that boy gives me gray hairs!

He loves to swim... and does this thing that has us calling him "Turtle" when he swims.

See, he'll jump in (he wears a swimming vest) and will swim around like a turtle with its shell up out of the water... face down... butt and vest up...

It is probably something hard to imagine... but it is hilarious when you see it... ::note to self, take picture::

 

After a while, it was just Rowan and I in the pool... So we started doing some laps (or I did) with the kick board... kinda 'racing' each other... but Rowan was a bit of a cheater... lol.

 

It felt good to get in there and do some excersising... I was actually thinking about getting back into our pool after the kids go to bed and doing more laps... but then, yet again, I'm a bit tired... so, we'll see :)

 

::why can't kids learn to close the fridge after getting into there??::

 

Anyways...

I wish it was Thursday already...

'Cause that would mean that I'm off tomorrow... but alas, tomorrow is Wednesday... which means I'm working ::sigh::

But that is okay... because working = money!!  And money = good...  haha

Just hope the wasps aren't there tomorrow!!!  eeeekkk...

 

Well, my kid is complaining of being thirsty... best go and get him some water before he tries to do it himself!!

Wish I Had My Camera...

So I could show you the huge- and I mean HUGE- wasp nest that is outside my window here at work!!

 

I would say that it is just about the size of a salad plate!!!  With at least 40 wasps on it... OMG!!

 

And one even snuck in somehow... We haven't been able to smush it yet... but it is behind my blinds - which I promptly closed!- and buzzing around... eeek!!!

 

Hopefully the 'bug guy' gets to us soon and smashes it to bits and pieces....

Oh My....

Why is it, when you go to where your kids are to pick them up... say the babysitters or their grandparents house... they are on a pretty good behavior...

But once they walk through the door to their house, they become complete maniacs??

 

Yeah, I'm having to deal with a completely crazed two year old right now...

I've had to tap his booty... put him on time out... send him to his room...

And he is still acting like a nut!!

As I type this (and make breakfast for dinner)... he is scaling the couch!!! (when I came back to proof read this... he was on top of the cat house!! omg!)

::sigh::

Earlier, he was "cleaning"... which meant taking a wash cloth, wetting it... then proceeding to "ring it out" over my floor!!

OMG!!!

Seriously, I think kids only act crazy for their mothers... 'cause if Derek walked into the house right now, they'd be on perfect behavior!!

Mommy Syndrome is a true thing!!

 

Okay, off to finish my pancakes... Yummo!
