~Evening Tid-Bits~

So, it is 915pm here... in Central California.

 

And I'm bored...

Laying in my bed with my hubby's lap top... crusing Myspace and AOL J's...

He is off doing some things tonight... I won't go into detail here... for his privacy... but everything is all good... so don't go wondering and thinking things aren't okay :)

 

So, I thought I'd do an entry about things that are running around in my head...

Hope you don't mind....

 

*why do kids (or most of them... shit, maybe its just mine!) never listen the first time?

*it is Sept. 13th and it was 102 here today... can you freakin' believe that?

*bills suck...

*I wish it was already next weekend (the 22nd)... we'll be in Pismo then :)

*my brother and his fiancee set a date for their wedding... I'll officially have another Sister on Jan. 6, 2007.

*diets are hard

*Rowan is turning into a little lady... it breaks my heart...

*it is 920pm and my kids are still awake... someone shoot me.

*my son uses my hair as his "sleep-aid"... it was cute at first... but not its starting to hurt and get a bit annoying... anyone got any advice on what I could switch him to??

*my daughter doesn't listen to me.

*I'm getting my hair done on Friday... I need a new look... thinking about short and dark... anyone have any ideas?

*kids giggles can bring anyone out of a funk

*I miss my husband... I wish he wasn't getting home so late :(

*Saturday night we are having a date though... Can't wait... Just me and him...

*when is Janet Evanovich coming out with her new book? I need something new to read...

*until then, I'm reading Nora Robert's "Morrigan's Cross"... its the first book in a trilogy... pretty good... all about Ireland, witches', vampires... the stuff I love :)

*I wish I had more time with my kids during the day...

*and more energy

*my son takes his medicine like a champ... I don't have to fight him at all...

*they are looking at taking him off of it Sept. 29th... it literally scares the shit out me thinking about it....

*its 930pm and my kids are still awake... where is that gun people!?! (lol... I'm just joking folks)

*my parents are such wonderful people... I don't know what I'd do with out them.

*is it time to leave for Pismo yet?

*did I mention how hot it is here today?? yeah, I think I did

*Starbucks is my friend...

*I feel like I'm moving a thousand miles faster at work after having a Venti Non-Fat Carmel Machiato (or however  you spell it)

*I love my job... and how challenging, frustrating, fun it can be...

*I'm tired... but I don't see sleep anytime soon

*I suppose I should go and get my children to finally get to sleep

Brr is right for right now.

I'm sitting next to my open dining room windows and it is a good 58 degree's outside. 

I'm so glad to finally say Brr.

And to finally turn off the damned A/C. 

We actually had ours turned off all day yesterday... thank goodness.

Those Electric bills have been killing us!!

 

Anyways, enough about Brr.

 

Not a whole lot has been going on in the Pickle Jar.

Derek went back to work yesterday (Saturday) but he has today off... thanks to the graces of another officer who was willing to take the day for him.

He really wanted to be home with us...

And to watch the first Sunday of football :)

lol... men.

Whatever works though... its wonderful to have him home...

 

The kids are doing really well.

Zachary is progressing with his potty training- as you can see from the entry below.

He is trying to talk and sometimes surprises us all with new "words"...

It is the funniest thing though... he actually does this weird baby talk.  Yeah, I know... the whole goo-goo... ga-ga... weird talk like that.

Yet, he only does it to his sister!  And boy, does it make him laugh...

 

Rowan is well, Rowan.

She has hit that independent stage and can seriously drive me insane lately.

She has forgotten her manners while at home... she is learning to talk back... and well, she seriously thinks she is 14... not 4.

The last few days have been rough.

I don't know if I'm just easily bothered by it... short patience to say.

Or if it is really that bad... lol

I've had to tell her a few times that I'm the mom, she is the daughter.

 

Luckily though... she is mostly a good girl... and those moments don't happen as much as the good do.

If they did, I think I'd be locking myself up in the looney bin :)

lol... jk, jk.

 

Hmm...

What else.

 

Oh yes.

I'm still on Jenny Craig.

As of yesterday, I'm on my 7th week!!

Can you believe it?

I'm still liking it... but because I have made a few poor food choices in the last weeks, I've only lost those 9lbs.

But this week I turned over a new leaf and have a good to drop 2lbs and to walk 3-4 times.

I've already walked once... so, I've got only 3 more days of walking to meet that part of my goal.

And hopefully with this new leaf turned over, I'll drop those 2lbs and get back on track.

 

Well, speaking of which... its time for me to go eat breakfast.  I'm starving... Today, I'm having a Sunshine Sandwich.  English muffin... turkey ham (how can turkey be ham? I don't know... but its good)... egg with cheese.  SO, its basically a healthy alternative to McDonald's egg mcmuffin :)

So.

Yesterday afternoon, after I got home from picking up Rowan from her Nana's and from work...

Derek and I decide to go check out a local RV place that sells Toy Haulers (weekend warriors... trailers that haul your "toys" like quads in them and you can live in too) and then go to dinner.

So I grab up Zachary... change his diaper (or so I thought), get him dressed and grab Rowan and head out the door.

 

We drive to the town over... a good 10 mins away... only to find that the RV place is closed.  We missed the gates shutting by 10mins :X 

Ugh.

Frustrating.

 

So, we head to the local mexican food place...

It only took us about another 5mins or so to get there...

 

We get there and we chow down on some chips...

The kids enjoy their drinks... to the point where we had to take Zman's sprite away from him :)

And we wait for our food.

 

We finally get our food...

And right when I finished mine (a chicken fijita salad... yummo!) Zachary tries to get out of the high chair and is pulling at his pants... like he usually does when he needs to go pee.

So, I grab him and go to feel his diaper to see if he had already peed or not...

And there is no diaper.

Yeah, did you get that?

 

Zman had been with out a diaper for 30 plus minutes.

 

Um, Hello Jennifer...

You really are blonde, aren't ya?

 

LOL.

So, needless to say... we were very very very lucky that Zman didn't have an accident... and we are very very lucky that he is already starting to potty train or he probably wouldn't have tried to tell me that he needed to go pee!!

Cause after I went and put the diaper on him... we came back to finish up our food and sign the check...

By the time we got back to the car to put him in... his diaper was wet!!

Yeah, I guess someone had to pee :)

Life has just been pretty busy.

I've been trying to be more active- as in walking... instead of being on the computer all the time...

So that is taking up some time.

 

The kids are great.

Being the biggest monsters you can imagine though today.

I just spent around 15mins trying to dig out Playdoh from Rowan's ear.

Yah.

Crazy girl.

I told her if it all doesn't come out by tomorrow... we'll be making a trip to the doctors.

That should be fun.

Not.

 

Anyways.

I wanted to share some pictures from the last two pool parties that we've been too.

These next few pictures were taken yesterday at my In-laws...

We had a BBQ there and had tons of fun.  The kids played in the pool and the adults just lounged... it was very fun!

Zach-attack running around crazy.  The rest of the kids were playing some kind of 'football' game... and he was trying to be in the mix :)

After he had chased the kids around... Derek got into the pool with Rowan... He's giving her some loves :)

Rowan and her older cousins had been doing cheerleading stunts in the pool... This time, they really got her high in the air! She was having a blast!

Caught this smile after they dumped her a good one... lol. 

And of course, Zman had to get in on the swimming... but he did his in the spa.

After a long day of food, sun and fun... it was time for a nap.  I just wish he hadn't picked the dog bed ;)

Well, I hope people will actually be able to view these pictures... since no alerts are going out and all :X

I hope everyone had a great 3 day weekend... I'm off again tomorrow- only because I won't have a babysitter for my babes.

Well, I went to my Jenny Craig meeting this morning.

I came up 1lb shy of hitting the 10lb loss mark this month.

Truthfully, I'm a little disappointed... but I'm still extremely happy about dropping 9lbs of unwanted weight.

I also was measured.

I've lost a total of 8inches from different areas of my body (chest, waist, hips).

That, I'm liking :)

 

My goals for my 5th week are pretty much the same as last week.

I want to be more active (walks, playing outside with the kids)... and I want to start doing crunches in the morning or at night.  Maybe push ups too if my weak shoulders (from all the years of swimming and water polo) can handle them.

 

In other news...

I've been told by a few people that they aren't getting my alerts for my entries?

I guess that would explain why I haven't had as many comments as I usually do.  Wonder what happened now with AOL?

 

Um, what else, what else.

The Pickle Kiddos are doing well.

Wednesday night Rowan got her hair cut.

She had been telling me she wanted to get it cut... and get it cut short.  So she did :)

It is adorable.

I did take a picture of her... but because the battery on my camera was dying, the picture came out horrible.

So, I have the camera charging so I can take a picture of her later and then share it with you all.

 

I also have the camera charging for another reason.

I'm taking it with me tonight.

Where am I going tonight you ask?

I'm going to go to work with my Hubby.

 

Yup, I'm doing a ride-along with Derek.

Should be fun.

I haven't been out with him in over 2 years... maybe more.  Not since he had Tango and he had him for 3 years.

He has promised me that he'll try to get into some stuff tonight... you know, show me a good time ;)

 

So...

With that, I'm done.
