Derek just called me with some great news...
He finally heard back from the insurance adjuster on what they'd valued our Tahoe at...
It came back in the amount of $32,410.00!!!
We owe somewhere around $21,300.00... so we are looking at something like a balance of $11,110.00 for a down payment on a new vehicle!! And that isn't including the reimbursement of the vehicle tags we just paid on 7/26 of $316 or the car seats I had to buy... (you have to replace your child car seats after a car accident)
I'm extremely excited about this... just knowing we'll have that much to put down on a new car makes the idea of having to go out and buy one much easier on me... lol.

That's great!!! Also, if you've had any engine work, new tires, or anything done to it recently (anything besides regular maintenance), they have to give you back that money, as well.

But... When we had our accident, it didn't reimburse us for the car seats we had to replace. Maybe yours will though.
But 11,000 for a down payment is AWESOME!! Maybe you will keep out a few $$ for something fun. ;)
