~One Year Check-Up~

                                                    Big One Year Old :)

Mr. Z had his One Year Check-Up yesterday afternoon.  Besides us being at the doctor's office for more than 2 hours, the check up went well.

(yes, I said 2 hours!! We were there for over 1.5hrs before we were seen!!)

Zachary now weighs almost 22lbs and is 30inches long.  He's come a long way since he was born at 7lbs 14oz and 19inches long... and then his "little" scare in March (part one, two and three).

He is average in height and just about average in weight (23lbs is avearge..) so he is obviously growing :)

The PA wasn't concerned that he wasn't walking yet... mind you, he'll take a few token steps here and there... but no walking on his own yet.  Just as long as he was cruising around the house and doing normal kid stuff, she was fine with it.

She did tell me he should be getting 20oz of whole milk... when he is still getting formula but also milk.  I guess I need to get going on putting him on whole milk not mixed with formula now.  He'll take it when itswarm... so thats good.

Well, I just wanted to share with you about his appointment.  I gotta get back to work... lunch break is over... hope you all enjoy your Tuesday!

Oh what a gem he is!  He sounds perfectly...perfect LOL!

Yeah, you better drop the formula...my sister wouldn't do it because my nephew wouldn't drink milk so she kept him on the formula until he was 18 months old!  The kid was 36lbs at 9 months...he's going to be nine on the 20th and weighs over 100lbs ..I won't even get into what she let's him eat.  I don't get it.  There is nothing wrong with telling a kid they can't eat a whole jar of pickles...at 4 years old!  Okay I totally got off the subject.

Two freaking hours?  Oh heck no!  You got some major patience my friend.

Okay I'm outt here, work is over so I'm blasting some JB!!!

Love to you and your little gerkins!

Autumn has an appointment coming up too.  Her doctor's office has rescheduled it 3 times already...Ugghh!  We'll have to see how they compare in size.  Granted, Autumn is 3 months older...but I bet Zach is bigger.  =)

He's such a big boy!

Ehhhh, don't even listen to the doc and her worrying about him not walking yet!  He will walk when he is damned ready to walk!!!  He can get around just fine right now can't he?  That's all that matters!  It's not a competition, all kids walk when they are ready, period.  HOORAY on him doing so well though at his 1 year checkup!!  He sure has come a long way baby!!!  :)
Hugs and love,
Lisa

WTG Zach-man!!!!
Hey don't stress on the weight....you know my 4 y/o little man is not much bigger....a whopping 25 pounds....watch out Daniel!!!! here comes Zach!!!!!
Walking is still normal....average is 12-16 months. of course there are the overachievers like Jodie at 9 montha and the pokey ones like Daniel at 30 months. I bet when Zach does it he will just get up and walk across the room with nary a wobble and then you'll be running! ;)
hugs
I'm so happy for your boy!

My goodness! I can't believe how big he is!
Isaac must be a monster then, he weighs 20 lbs, and is 31 inches long!
God! I don't realize how big he is, until I hear how big other babies are!
Such a good looking kid, I am so happy that he is happy and healthy!
Happy One Year!
