Well I did it!

Well I did it ya'll... I did it.

I finally figured it was time to 'take back my body' and do something about not feeling great and not enjoying the way I look ::sigh::

So... I joined Curves today.  My friend has a membership there and has been begging me to join too.  Well, I did it.  I went today and signed up.  Not only do you have to fill out paper work, but you have to get weighed (BOO! no one likes that) and measured.  They even calculate your body fat mass! Ugh. Could it get anymore depressing?  Nah, it wasn't that bad... After all that I did my first 30 min work out!  It was fun and hard work, but I'm glad I did it.

I'm also going back to Weight Watchers starting next Tuesday (hey! there IS a holiday coming up) so hopefully with both WW and Curves, I'll start losing some weight and start feeling better about myself.  The first time I did WW I lost a total of 25lbs.  But then I stopped going because I got tired of counting points and not enjoying the goodies... Oh well... Thats what you use the flex points for I guess ;)

So, I am turning over a new leaf!  No more of not liking the way I look... I'm going to make myself better... Besides, if the hubby and I do want to have another bambino anytime soon, its better not to weigh as much as I do now and get preggo.

Anywho...

The Robonator and I are home alone tonight.  Hubby is working so it is just us.  We've had our dinner (left over chicken sandwiches and brocolli) and now we are going to watch all the TV shows that I have DVR'ed the last few nights... Or maybe go enjoy the spa... Definetly will have to put the Princess' vest on right when we walk out the door. Lol.

Hope all have a wonderful evening and then a wonderful Thursday... TTFN

One Fun Filled Day

Well!  Yesterday was a pretty full day... Fun, but pretty full and exciting (I'll get to that in a moment)...

Work was blah... Pretty quiet.  Didn't really want to be there, but what are you going to do when you have to make the money, ya know?  So, I left a half hour early to go pick up the Princess...

I was expecting to fine Rowan asleep at her YaYa's.  Well, when I walked in the door, she wasn't asleep and she greeted me with "Hi Mama"!  My mom informed me that she hadn't had an afternoon nap and I was in for a wild ride.  Lol.  And was she right.  As we were trying to get her dressed, she was running around the house singing songs from JoJo's Circus.  Lol... Even when she is acting crazy, I still gotta love her.

So we finally got her dressed and we were off to the grocery store.  I've been doing this new thing were I plan out my meals in advance for the week and try to go to the grocery store only once a week instead of going multiple times during the week.  So we got our meals for the week... Don't have to plan too much since the Daddy will be working for the rest of the week.

We had some friends over last night for some baked chicken, baked potatos and veggies.  Auntie Amy and my friend Nicole and her fiance were all there... We even spent some time in the spa...

SO NOW ON TO THE EXCITING PART....

The Brave One (Princess Rowan) decided she wasn't going to wait for her swim vest before she got in the spa.  She was sitting on the edge and I told her to wait for me to get the vest.  Well, as I was heading back to the spa with her vest, she got this devilish look in her eyes and I told her, "Don't MOVE".  Well, with that, she decided she was going to swim... And pushed off towards the middle of the spa.  So, of course she sinks and there I go jumping in fully clothed.  The funny thing was, when I brought her up (she barely went down) she was smiling!  She didn't care!  Oh, but she cared when I spanked her hinnie and told her she was a bad girl!  Ugh!  That made for an eventful night!

Well, I've actually gotta get some stuff done today ;)  Hope all have a wonderful day!  TTFN

How Sweet it Is...

How sweet it is to spend quality time with your child...

Rowan and I spent the last hour in the spa... Her floating around and tempting to swim, while I just watched and enjoyed her presence.

As most parents know, there are days when you can't take anything they hand out and you just want to disappear...

But today was a day that I absolutely enjoyed... Just spending time with the Princess alone is something special... Even if she did ask for her "Dada Home" a few times ;)

I know I should cherish these times and shouldn't let them escape my memory... I'll be sure to try...

Well it is bath time and then it will be time to read "Go, Dog! Go" for the millionth time... Gotta love her trying to read though...

Good Night...

Sunday Sunday....

Well I guess this weekend was pretty uneventful all around.  We didn't do much on any particular day... Mostly swimming and hanging about outside.  I guess it was a lazy weekend.

We spent yesterday just hanging around.  Had lunch from a little mexican shop in our town and then went outside and watched the mutts play.  Honey had to go back to work, so he had to get all of his stuff ready... So yesterday was blah.

Robo and I did go to my parents house for dinner though.  That was nice.  We had a roast that my mom put on the BBQ and some baked potatoes.  And don't forget the veggies!  We had plenty of those... Yum Yum.  And of course the Princess had her "Mickey's" after dinner.  "Mickey's" are fruit snacks that she just adores...

I do get to go and have a little bit of me time after work today.  I have to go and get my nails done... Its way passed the time to get them filled!  So, an hour to myself is a nice treat... Especially with not having to worry about what the Princess is getting into.

Well... This was short but sweet... I've gotta go get working on Payroll.  And my nieces are at work today! Just love those girls to death... Hope all have a wonderful week... TTFN

A Nice Day to do Nothing...

Today was a wonderful day... We did absolutely nothing today... Besides from a few loads of laundry and dishes... Today was pretty uneventful!

My honey, the Princess and I spent most of the late morning and the afternoon outside.  I guess we are trying to enjoy our pool to the fullest and for as long as we can.  I'm sure Summer will be with us until late September, but we're going to use that pool as much as possible.

Even the doggies got to play today.  Including Tango... My hubby's partner, who is pictured above.  Tango is a bite and dope dog (which means he is used for apprehensions and to find drugs).  He is the sweetest dog though and knows when he is at work and when he isn't... So don't worry about the Princess with him!  He adores her!  And she loves "nango" lol.

The Robonator and I have been watching movies all afternoon.  The hubby got to go work some more Gang Detail (OT=$$)... So we (I) thought we would watch some movies we haven't seen yet.  So we watched "Somethings Gotta Give" (which I'd never seen and liked) and part of "Notting Hill" (which we have seen and I love).  Now we are watching one of our favorite shows... COPS... When ever the Princess see's it, she says, "Dada work"... Cause she knows her daddy is a "hero" (she'll tell you that if you ask her what her daddy does).

Well, its getting to be about that time... Hope all have a wonderful weekend.  I've got dinner planned with the YaYa and Grandpa tomorrow and can't wait... Rowan sure loves those two.

I'll write later... TTFN

PS... I've hit 100 on the visit-meter... Thanks guys!

Umm....

Today was a very nice Friday!  We got to sleep in... Not as late as we usually do, or like... Because we were woken up by the 'grass man' cutting our grass and remembered we had to give him money.  But we still got to sleep in.

We decided to go and check out some Mohawk flooring at the local floor covering store!  We are tired of our carpet.  Between a kid and a dog and 2 cats... Not to mention us... We've worn it out!  So, we found something we liked and they came and took measurements to give us a quote... Hopefully it is something we can afford!  I think it would add so much to our house!

Then it was off to Target!  Man, do we love that store!  We never seem to get out of there under $100!!  So, today we bought a baby shower gift, 3 beach towels (on clearance for $6 each), 2 DVD's, 2 beautiful oil lamps (the kind for outside, like a tiki tourch, for $11 each) and some other bunk!  Man... Man... Man... We love to shop :)

My mom and I got our hair done today... I love going together... It gives us some girl time and gives me time away from the Princess.  God knows I love that child, but everyone needs a break.  So, the Grandpa got to watch his girl... Daddy had to go do Gang Detail so it was Grandpa's day to watch the Robonator.  She sure loves her "BUBBA" (thats how Grandpa comes out).

YaYa and Bubba came over for BBQ'ed hamburgers and some swimming.  YaYa also brought over some dresses that my grandmother, Rowan's great-grandmother (Te-Te) bought her... As you can see from the pics, she loved them!

Oh, yeah... Did ya catch the Princess on the potty?  I just had to put those on here.  They are too cute!  It shows so much of her personality... And how clever she is!

Well, I'm going to go watch 50 First Dates and then head off to bed.  I hope all have a wonderful, fun filled weekend.  TTFN!

Oh So Tired....

Oh I'm so tired.... I could barely get out of bed this morning!  I hit the snooze button a few times this morning and then finally forced myself out of bed!  I rather be in bed right now... Snoozing away.... But I've gotta make some dough, ya know?

We went over to my MIL house yesterday afternoon to go swimming.  My neices (Jess 8 and Sis 11) and my other sister-in-law with her daughter (Morgan 1) were there.... It was a girls day to enjoy the pool and the sun!  We BBQ'ed and enjoyed the water.  And of course the Princess had a wonderful time swimming... ALL OVER THE PLACE!!  Such a good time infact, that when we got home, she crashed on the couch, butt-nakey!  Such a cutie pie!

The hubby had some friends from work over last night... To hang out and drink Car Bombs.  If you don't know what those are, they are a pretty icky drink... You take Guiness Beer and pour some in a glass.  Then you take a shot glass and put half Baileys Irish Cream and half Jameson Whiskey.  You drop the shot in the glass of Guiness and then you slam the whole drink down your throat... UGH!  I've done it twice... And never again ;)

Tonight is going to be a quiet night.  Rowan has gymnastics this evening... Time to get some built up energy out of her!  Then we are going to BBQ some pork strips and sit in the spa.  But for now, I've gotta get to working... TTFN

My First Time doing a Weekend Assignment

Weekend Assignment #10: Congratulations! You've been given one million dollars. What would you do with it? But wait! There's more -- seems you've been given two million dollars. Would you do anything different with the second million than you would with the first?

If I was given one million dollors, I would pay off all of my bills... Mortgage, car and credit cards.  These are the things that make us worry the most... So those would be the first to go.  That would leave me around $753,000 to play with.  I would take about $376,000 and put that away in the bank for The Princess' college fund (and wedding, ah!) and for any other kiddies that come along.  Who knows... With the intrest build up, I might make more then enough for cars for them too!  Then with the rest of the money, I'd probably help my parents with their bills so they'd be able to retire happy.

Now, if I were to get another million dollars.... I would probably take a little bit of it and use that money to travel.  I've always wanted to go tour Europe... So thats probably something I'd do!  Then the rest would go in the bank and not be touched for a long, long time.

Thats pretty much how I'd spend the money... But thats just dreaming... If it were true... Who knows what I'd do ;)

The Brave One!

Well, here it is!  Finally I have some day shots of our pool!  We just came in from enjoying the water... It was about 82 degrees and that was with out a cover, heating, or solar heating.  That heat comes straight from the sun and the pebble tech being dark!  Oh, it was nice.

We also spent some time in the spa... But the Princess likes the pool better.  Its so cool to see how brave she is getting!  She absolutely loves to swim now... I guess time in her YaYa and Nana's pool has done her good!  We do make her wear a vest... Gotta protect something so precious.  But she does most of the swimming on her own.  She spent most of the time in the pool today telling her YaYa and me to 'go there' (basically move away from her)!  Its crazy to see how fast they grow before your eyes!

Rowan also decided that she was going to practice her skills of jumping off the raised planter.  That is the wall you see with the waterfalls coming out!  Yes!  Can you believe that she is wanting to jump from that tall wall into the water??  Crazy!  I guess she is the No Fear Baby!

Our poor Lola-dog was having a fit the whole time we were in the pool though!  She LOVES to swim and knowing we were in the pool was killing her...

It's pretty quiet tonight.  Princess is worn out from swimming and the hubby is at work.  I was getting used to him being home... He was off for 6 whole days straight!  And for someone in his profession... Thats a miracle!  Its okay though.  He has to work tonight and then will be off until Saturday again!  Lol.  Guess I should stop complaining.  He will work Fri and Sat night though... GANG detail (scary scary)... But that means more OT... More $$ ;) Jk.... He loves his job and I respect him for that....

Well, it is time to hit the showers... Smelly chlorine can get to your head!  Oh, thanks to all the new people checking out my journal!  It means a lot to hear from ya all.  TTFN

Just some pics

Its late.  I am not all that tired.  I thought I'd upload some pics and post them while I had the free time.  The Princess is crashed out in the bed... Daddy wore her out good today being out in the heat.  Then her 'auntie' (my bestest bud) came over and when Auntie is over... She is on hyper-drive... Then some time in the spa wore her out some more... So she is asleep and I can get something done ;)

I've posted a few pics (okay, so there are more like 27)... I didn't know what I wanted to put here, so I just put!  I need to learn how to do the lay out better...That way people can see the pics better... Oh well, it will have to be another day and not 1030pm!

There are some pics of the Princess in our luggage... She didn't want us to go... Some pics of Las Vegas and our suite!  Man, that place was awesome!  There are actual pics of my honey and I and our family!

Tango (my honey's partner) and our Lola dog are also featured... So are a few pics of the pool.

Okay, Okay!  I'll do some daylight pics tomorrow!  Promise!

But in the short time that it actually took me to do all of this... I've become tired!  Now its time for me to go crash... Just like our Princess...

Night Night all....

Weeee'rrrrreeee Back!

Well!  We made it!  We made it to Vegas and back home alive and well.  It took some time for the driving... But I think we came out of the 10 hour drive home with out going insane!

So, we left Thursday night at 730pm.  We made it to Tehachapi by 1130pm and decided to stay there in some Best Westren motel... That was overran by TVT (trans valley trucking) drivers!!!  I swear, there were 20 rigs there in this little parking lot!

We were out of that roach motel by 800am the next morning and were making our trek to VEGAS (baby).  We made it there in 4 hours and it took us literally 45mins to get down the strip!  It was nice though, since my hubby has never been to Vegas, so he got to see all the big, beautiful, hotels.

I'm going to have to post the pictures of our hotel SUITE!  Yes, I said SUITE!  There was a stove, microwave, dish washer, washer and dryer in our 'room'.  It was so nice!  I don't think I've been anywhere that nice... I guess Hilton out did themselves this time!

We went all over the place down there.  Friday night we went to "Tournament of the Nights" in the Excalibur!  Wow.  That was so much fun!  Cute guys running around swining swords and riding horses... Eating food with your hands and drinking out of 'mugs' :)  I guess it was worth the $47.50 per person that we paid!

One thing we learned in Vegas was... Everything in Vegas is darn expensive!!!

OH yes!  OUR POOL IS FINALLY DONE!  It is filled and it is beautiful!  I'm going to take some pictures of it when I get home... It was too dark last night to take some good pics... I'll post those later too ;)

Well, I've gotta a bunch of mail to open and some bills to pay!  It's going to be fun to try to do, since one of our computer programs are not working!  Hope all  had a wonderful weekend!

BYE!!!

Oh I'm of to see Vegas... The wonderful Vegas...

Back to Comic Sans for today... It kinda gives ya that happy and excited feeling!  And thats what today is all about!

Today is one of the last days that our pool will be worked on!  We are having our pebble-tech done today and then tomorrow the workers will come and do an acid wash treatment... And then our pool with be FINALLY done!

We'll actually come home to a finished pool... With water in it and everything!  Since we are leaving for Vegas tonight, my brother will be coming down from UC Davis and staying at our to make sure the pool gets filled up and what not!  Its sad to say, but I'm excited about going to Vegas, but I can't wait to come home and finally use the pool!

Miss Rowan decided that she was going to ham it up for the camera this morning.  I've posted a few of them, along with some pictures of the pool!  Oh, I can't wait.

Oh yes.  Thanks SloMo for my first ever comment!  I'm new to this whole journal thing and just admire all those out there that are better and more interesting than mine (like SloMo's, MT Headed Rambling , A Door To My World) others.  I love reading them and others, and I've finally got up enough guts to post comments :)

Well,  I've gotta go finish getting packed and finish cleaning house.  Yippee!  Hope ya all have a wonderful weekend... I know I will... :)

I'm Going To Scream!

Well, it seems like it might be one of those days... You know what I'm talking about.  A day with everything making you irritated.  Ugh.

We have a problem with the phones, here at the Pickle Plant.  Half of the calls that ring in are dead air when you pick it up... So, its like, you answer, "........ ......., this is Jennifer" and no one answers, you get kinda IRRITATED!!

THEN! Get this... My hubby got a call yesterday afternoon from the people that are supposed to be doing the pebble-tech for our pool.  Well, originally, it was supposed to be done today.  But now its gotta be pushed back until tomorrow!!! Ugh!  So, hopefully they'll be there tomorrow... Cause if they arent, we'll be screwed... Since we are leaving for Vegas tomorrow night!

Oh yeah baby!!  Leaving for VEGAS.... I can't wait!  We are going to have so much fun!  My hubby has never been... So, we'll have to show him a good time ;o)

So, get this.  My daughter learned to pee outside last night.  She was running around butt-nakey playing with the water hose... And all of the sudden she said she had to pee.  So I told her to go... Didn't literally mean for her to go then and there... But she went in the dirt and squated down... And went!  It was so funny...  Her daddy and I weren't mad at all... Actually, we thought it was pretty resourceful!!  Lol.  No more going pee outside when the pool is done though ;o)

Well, I guess it is about time for me to get started on something to do with my actual job... I've been doing nothing but working on my friends bridal shower since I've gotten here at 8am... TTFN

Ugh... Ugh... Ugh...

Figured it was time for a different font... I usually like Comic Sans and use it for everything, but today, I just need something different...

Well, the Princess is still sicky.  Still got a stinking summer cold... The poor baby.  She has a runny nose and is just feeling icky.  You know she doesn't feel good when she isn't 'Miss Independent'... She wants to be held and hugged and carried when we went places yesterday.  The poor baby.

This morning on the way to her YaYa's she was just sitting in her car seat... Only every once in a while asking for her "JoJo Circus" CD to be played.  So, I relented... I usually like to listen to my morning talk show... THE FRONTROW MORNING SHOW... But I figured I should try to make my Princess feel better and so I turned it on... And boy, did her eyes light up!  She even started to sing just a little bit... Ah, I miss her so (and I only just left her an hour ago)...

Ugh.  My mom got another Statement for our Vision Care people.  They for some reason don't understand the fact that I got married, changed my name, and are no longer on my parents insurance!  I've called twice and I haven't seem to get anywhere!!!  UGH!  Hello!  You are billing one person for someone else that has a different last name and address.... Geeze, get a clue!!

Our pool equipment is supposedly being set up today!  Yippee.  Its almost done!  Then tomorrow our pebble tech is going to be done.  Man, I can't wait.  I can't wait to just go out and sit in my spa... Not have to worry about bothering anyone to use their pool... I can just go use my own ;)

ONLY 2 MORE DAYS TO VEGAS!!!!!!!  We are actually hoping to leave on Thursday night and drive down to Bakersfield (a 3 hour car ride) and stay there... Then wake up Friday morning and continue our trek.

Well, I've got plenty to do at this busy Pickle plant... Gotta make some extra spending money for the VEGAS trip... TTFN

Princess Rowan

Its almost done! Yippe! The pool is almost done!

We had our deck poured yesterday.  It looks so nice.  We didn't get the usual color concrete either.  Our deck will be a tan color, to match both our house and pool tile.  We also go salt finished... So yeah, there are tiny little holes in our deck.  It will be so nice to lay down on a warm deck and still have the cool water feeling... I can't wait for the pool to be done!  If all goes right (which means HOPEFULLY) our pool should be done on Wednesday... Yippee!  But between now and then, we have to have our equipment set, inspected, deck inspected, doors to the pool inspected, and then our pebble tech done!  Oh wow... So much to do in such little time!

I've put the pictures of Princess Rowan on here... She is growing so fast and is such a ham when it comes to taking pictures!  She gets in front of the camera and says, "CHEESE".  Its too funny!  You really have to work hard on not getting a horrible smile out of her.  Her face gets scrunched up and her eyes get all closed!  So you have to actually get her to smile and then you get a pretty good picture... Like the ones I've put on here.

We had an unexpected visit from Uncle Boo and Amy this weekend.  Missy Rowan was sure happy to see her uncle!  He actually had her jumping into the pool (which wasn't very warm) and swimming around.  At one point, she got really brave and was telling him, "No Boo", and wanting to jump in all by herself!  So she did and he would be grabbing her wrist right as she hit the water!  It was awesome to see her being so brave!

Princess was "kidnapped" by her Grandpa last night!  He was determined to have her spend the night with them last night!  So she did... And she has come up with a cold now!  She has a runny nose and snot flying everywhere... Yucky Yucky.  And we (my brother, Rowan and myself) are supposed to go to the mall today and sit for a picture that will go on a T-shirt for my dad...  He loves those and we've been doing them for years!

Oh well... I've gotta go get payroll done.  TTFN

Just One of Them Days...

It was just one of them days today... Had a list of things to do and it seemed like it took ALL DAY LONG to do a few things...

So, instead of my usual sleep in on Friday mornings (remember, I don't work Fridays), my alarm went off at 7:50am to remind me that my Princess had a picture appointment at 10:40am.  Believe me, I really didn't want to wake up!  So I didn't. Lol.  I just wanted to lay in bed... So I did.  I do this often.  Usually my hubby has to nudge me a few times and remind me that I've hit my snooze button 4 times already...

Anyways, so I did eventually get up and get ready... Along with the Princess.  We did make her picture appointment too!  I was getting her pictures done for a Father's Day gift for my hubby and father.  She took pictures in both her Daddy and Grandpa's uniform tops!  She looks too cute!  I'll have to post them on here when I have the time to actually scan them.  Its been a while since we actually had her pictures taken too... Almost 6 months!  Boy, how she changes...

You usually don't notice how much your children change until you put too pictures side by side... Sometimes it breaks your heart at how fast they are growing up!  Two months ago, Rowan couldn't count to three... Now she is counting to 10!  Ugh.  Next thing I know, she'll be starting school.  Ahhhh....

Anyways.... So my day was spent with one of my favorite people!  Walking the mall, waiting for our pictures... We go to The Picture People and it takes them '1 hour' to develope and print the pictures... We spent some money... Of course... Took a little trip through the Baby Gap... Oh no!  Too many cute clothes and not enough money... If you catch my drift!  We finally got our pictures; and after debating on what poses to buy, we bought 3... Then it was off to home, with a stop at the local Mexican eatery to pick up some lunch to go.

Mind you... My intentions for today were to get pictures done and then come home and clean.... Only one part of that happened... And it wasn't the cleaning... So you can imagine what my weekend will be looking like!  Yippee Skippy for me!!

Well, I've gotta go check on the Princess... Make sure her Wiggle movie is over and get her booty to bed... TTFN

A Day of Shopping

Yesterday was a very busy and hecktic day... I hadn't been to work in 2 days and boy, did I come back to a messy desk and a bunch of stuff to do.  Plus, I came back to find out that my office workers have started a "No Cursing" rule... And whenever we do say a naughty word, we have to put a stupid quarter in a "Curse Cup".  Um, yeah, I didn't sign up for that... So, see if they could get a quarter out of me!  I know a few good things to do with a quarter instead of putting it in a "Curse Cup"...

So anyways, after a very busy day at work, I decided to meet my friend at the mall and do a little shopping.  I had to return a pair of khaki capri's that I had purchased at The Gap.  See, I had went to store and found a pair of black capri's that I really liked.  I tried them on and they fit wonderfully!  So, I figured I could grab the same size and style in a different color and they'd be fine too... Oh no!  Thats what I get for thinking.  When I got home and tried them on, they didn't fit!  Ugh!  Make me mad... So, I had to return them... Instead, I found a pair of jean chropped pants and two tank tops in very yummy colors...

Then it was off to the Vans store.  I also had to return a pair of sandals that my honey had purchased for me for Mothers Day (yeah, so, I'm a little late)... Well, I've been with the man for almost 4 years... You would think he'd know my shoe size... But no, he bought me a size 9 instead of a 10... So I traded in the 9 for a 10 in a different color and changed a pair of other flip flops in for a cute pink purse... hehe... Can't stay away from those purses!  Oh yeah.  I also bought the Princess a pair of black and pink shoes that look like mine and her aunties... She was so excited when she saw them!  It was too cute to see her go, "Ooohhh Pretty".

Then when I got home, my hubby wanted to go to Home Depot and Target.  Boy, I swear we can't get out of Target under $100.  We both figured we would have made it yesterday... But we ended up with 3 DVD's in the basket... So yeah, that killed it!

I guess yesterday was nothing more than a "waste money day".  Oh well, sometimes you just gotta do what you gotta do!  Nah, we really didn't spend too much money... But sometimes it just happens.

The weather is finally starting to act like Summer.  Its only going to be the mid-80's today, but by Monday it will be in the triple digits!  Oh yeah baby.  Just in time for our pool to be done.  Hopefully on Tuesday... We'll be jumping into our new pool!!  Yippee!!!

Well, its time for me to get started on working... Gotta make the mula... TTFN

Whoo....

Whoo.... Its been a few days... Okay, its been more like 7 days since my last entry.  In those 7 days, I've been to Tahoe and done a little gambling and saw for the first time, a stripper perform... I've stayed  home sick and just basically stayed home to spend time with my husband and daughter...

Its been an eventful weekend/week.  I'll start with my trip to Tahoe for my friend's bachelorette party!  It took us only 3 hours to make our way from our friends house to Tahoe... So, thats pretty good time!  We basically didn't do too much besides drink and hang out.  Friday night we did go to a club at one of the casino's and danced... And of course we secretly got a stripper for our friend and had him show up on Saturday night!  Boy-o-boy was this man a hottie!  He put on a pretty good show too... Specially since we had to be super quiet since we had already gotten one warning from the hotel asking us to be quiet!  So can you imagine 6 girls (from the ages of 21-23) being quiet as this hot man grinds his hot body up against all of us!  Oh wow.... It was definetly hard!  Whoo... But was it fun!

And of course, we all wake up on Sunday morning, feeling like crap.  Sleeping in a hotel room always makes my nose stuffy and my throat hurt.  So, it instantly brought my cold back on me!  And I was feeling sooo much better.

So, that brings me to Monday.  I did go to work, but when I started to feel sick, and when my Mother-in-law said I looked like crap, I decided to go home.  But of course, we had to medicine at home, so I had to stop and get some... And stopping at the grocery store for medicine turned into full-blown shopping... I figured since my hubby actually had a few days off, that he did deserve some good meals.  So, instead of just stopping for cold medicine, I figured out how to spend $150 in groceries!

So yeah, I did basically nothing but sit around and feel better on Monday and Tuesday!  I did cook dinner though :)  And help take care of the Princess!  Oh!  Our pool got tiled yesterday!  It looks sooo pretty!  I can't wait for it to be done!  Only a few more days!

Oh, 9 more days until Vegas!  Heck ya baby...

Well, I gotta go work... Plenty to do with being gone for a couple of days... TTFN

Getting Ready and a Visit from "Boo"

Well, I'm trying to get ready to go for my trip to Tahoe... Key word is TRYING.  With the Princess running around applying lotion to herself and the dog bouncing off the walls (ok, not literally)... Its kinda hard to get stuff done.

Not only do I have to get my stuff packed... And for a different climate mind you... Its already in the high 90's here and I have to pack for weather in the mid-70's... But I have to pack for Miss Ro too.  Gotta get her and her stuff together for the weekend at her YaYa and Grandpa's (Daddy has to work this weekend, or he'd be taking care of her).

And let me tell you!  It doesn't seem like she minds me going either ;)  Spending a weekend at her YaYa's and Grandpa's means she will be waited on hand and foot.  Plus, the Princess knows that her Uncle Boo (my brother) will be home this weekend.  All I've heard out of her today since I picked her up is "Boo Home? Me see Boo?"... She can't wait to see him... I've put a pic of Princess Rowan and her Boo on here... Aren't they sweet together?

Well, I guess I've stalled enough... Gotta get laundry out of the dryer to see what I'll be taking with me!  Have a wonderful weekend to anyone who visits this journal!

Daddy's Girl

So, the above picture is of Princess Rowan... or the new name we have started to call her, "Daddy's Girl".  It seems that since she has hit the age of 2, Princess has been permantely attached to her Daddy's hip.  He doesn't mind of course.  He has been waiting for this day... He used to see her wanting Momma so much, he likes this new wanting of Daddy.

Her being such a Daddy's Girl is how I actually got her to leave her YaYa's and go with me to the grocery store.  She was being totally out of control until I mentioned that Daddy was going to be home and we needed to go to the grocery store to make him dinner... First words out of her mouth were, "Dada home? Dada num-nums?".  Then wham-o... She got dressed so fast yesterday I practically had to race out of the door to catch her!

The hubby requested a "Really Good Dinner" last night... I figured he spent the day working so hard training that I would be a good wife and make him something he really enjoys.  I hadn't made it in a while, so I thought I would whip up a good dinner of Chicken Fried Steak, Mashy Potatos, fresh Green Beans and corn.  Yum Yum... A fav all around.

Nothing much happened last night... Did some packing for Tahoe (1 more day)... And went to bed early early... Gotta go work for the money... TTFN...

A Visit to See the Prince...

I thought I'd mention this... And how silly (hence my mood) my mommy is...

She is going to a Prince concert tonight in San Jose!  She was invited by friends and she thought it would be fun to go...

When I asked her what songs she knew, she looked at me with a blank look on her face... Then about 3 minutes later she yells, "Party Like its 1999"!!!!!  LMAO Mom.

I love you... You silly woman you....

(lets see if she'll be watching the Princess tomorrow??)

Just Another Day

Its just another day at the pickle factory... Everyone is stressed because the State is coming for an inspection... We'll pass, but after they put us through the ringer.  And after everyone in the office goes a little bit coo-coo.

Well, I got a few things done yesterday after work.  I got the bachelorette gift for my friend that I have been pondering over... I didn't want to get anything too naughty.  But then I kept thinking that its a bachelorette party and that I had to get something naughty for her... So I ended up getting her a shot glass shaped as a pee-pee (trying to use proper language), buttons that have a bunch of sayings (like "Bride to Be" and "Buy Me A Shot, I'm Tying The Knot"), a shot glass on a string to wear around her neck that says "Buy Me A Shot, I'm Tying The Knot"... And two naughty things for her and her hubby-to-be... A French Feather Tickler and Body Cream... Yum Yum!  I hope she doesn't get too embarrassed, she is kinda shy about the whole "sex" thing... So hopefully the presents don't push her over the edge ;)

Only 2 days until Tahoe!  Whoo-Hoo...

I also went to Gap yesterday... Spent way too much on too little.  I bought 2 pairs of shpants (cropped pants), both the same size, and two cute shirts.  I tried on a pair of the pants there and loved the way they fit and looked.  So I grabbed a second pair in another color, but then when I tried them on when I got home, they didn't fit!  Same size and supposedly the same color, but they don't fit!!!  What the heck is that???  Ugh!  So now I have to go back and return them and get something else... I'll just find a pair of pants in my size that actually fit well enough.

Ugh Ugh Ugh!

Then I went to the Disney Store.  I could spend so much money at that place... And in fact I did.  I bought the Princess a Christmas present already, a jewelry box that has the Disney princesses in it... Oh So Cute!  Matches her room perfectly!  And another little outfit... Pink with Princess written on it... So cute So cute.

The hubby was busy at home working on our pool!  Yippee~ Soon to be done.  Hopefully by the end of the month we'll be swimming!  So much fun!  I'm glad that he had time off to work on it.  But then of course he had to get his stuff together for training for today.  They were supposed to have a mock-call out for their training... But its a good thing they didn't get called out at like 3am... I would have never been able to go back to sleep!

Well, I've got a million things to do today... Both at work and after... TTFN

Remembering...

Happy late Memorial Day to all... And a BIG Thank You to all that served our Great Nation... Thanks Grandpa for all the time you spent away from your loved ones during WWII and the Korean War... Thanks to you all who are now serving us and keeping us safe in our homeland (military, police and fire) and those who are serving overseas... And a BIG thank you to all the family (wives, children, mother and fathers) of those who served or are serving... I know what it is like to worry about your family.

Everyday I have a least one person to worry about... Will they return home to our family after work?  Will they be okay?  I just pray everyday to have my husband, father, brother-in-laws (yes, all are in law enforcement) all return to us and their families.... Ugh... Can't worry too much or I'll never sleep, but you always dread phone calls late at night.

Anyways... This weekend has been long, yet fun...  Sunday was spent at my best friends college graduation party.  I'm so proud of her!  It only seems like yesterday, we were hating each other of Freshman year in high school.  Yeah, we couldn't stand each other... But look at us now, we are best friends and she was even my maid of honor in my wedding... The wonders of the world ;)  Congradulations Amy!  We are so proud of you and love you...

Then Memorial Day was spent at my In-laws.  What fun we had.  Swimming and talking... Eating and drinking too much... Some more swimming.  It would have been nicer if I still didn't have this darn Summer Cold... But what can you do, make the best of it!  Everyone was there... All the brothers, the wives and kiddies... My mom and some friends... It was a really nice day too at 94 degrees!  Perfect swimming weather!

Only 3 days to Tahoe!  Whoo-hoo!  And 17 days to Vegas... A double WHOO-HOO!  Well, time to get to work... Gotta make that money... TTFN
