~The Winner Is...~

Okay, so I forgot to add something to my last entry...

Thank you Cat -Saving Sanity- for reminding me...

A while back, I had asked everyone to make a guess about what they thought Mr. Zachary would weigh and how long he would be...

Well, I went back to the entry (titled Stats) to check and there were some really close guesses...

The person that came closest though, was Ms. Jackie of Small Town Life... She guessed that Zachary would weigh 7lbs 10oz and would be 19 1/2 inches long.

Well, she was only 4oz off of his weight and exactly on for his length... So, Woo Hoo to Jackie!

::you can check both of these lovely journals out by clicking on their name in my Favorite Journal section::

Today has been a pretty good day.

Zachary's doctor appointment went well.  He is gaining back his weight that he lost in the hospital very quickly... He went home on Friday weighing around 7lbs and 5oz and is already up to 7lbs and 12oz!!  The doctor said he is doing great and that he has some really big hands and feet :)  Plus, that he was a cutie!!  LOL.

He did get circumsised though... Poor boy.  The doctor said he did really well during the procedure.  I'm just glad they don't make you go with them when they do it.  When the doctor brought Zach back out to us, he was looking pretty good and not crying.  I could tell he had gotten upset... Due to the new scratch marks on his face... But once I got him back to the room and started to feed him, he just started bawling.  We haven't heard him cry sooo much since the day he was born!  I swear, all he has been doing today is sleeping, eating and crying... But who can blame the poor boy??

Oh well.  He'll be fine in a few days...

Zach and I did take a nap on the couch this afternoon while Derek (yes, I'll be refering to him by his name from now on... Previously known as Hubby) and Rowan went off to Lowe's to purchase a Storm/Screen Door.  It was nice to just lay there with him and not be bothered...

Derek and his father have been trying to install the door since 3pm today... It is now 6pm!!  Oh well... I swear, he is a great cook... But just not the handiest man around.  Lol.

Well, I've gotta run.  I've got some dinner to heat up and a baby to feed.  I hope everyone enjoyed the pictures of Mr. Zachary.  I swear, I'll be posting more as soon as I can!!

Many Hugs and Love to you all...

Jennifer :O)

~A Quick Hi and Thank You's~

Hi All...

I just wanted to take a quick moment... while it is quiet here at my house to say Hello and Thank You for all the wonderful well wishes...

Things here are really great.  I was able to come home on Friday and it was nice to be home, let me tell you.  The hospital stay wasn't bad mind you, but I was really ready to come home to my bed and just be with my new family.

Zachary Justice Matthew is doing really great.  Friday night was tough, but we got through it.  We had a check up already at the doctors office, to make sure that he isn't getting jaundice... Something common in breast fed babies??  I don't know... But he is doing well and is gaining the weight back that he lost in the hospital.

We have an appointment tomorrow morning at the doctors to get him circumsised (sp?)... I really wish they would have done it in the hospital, but I'm told that it is the doctors choice to do it there or in the office... So, that is what we have to look forward to tomorrow... Woo Hoo.

Rowan is doing soooo well with being a big sister.  She is very helpful... Always wanting to get the diapers and wipes when I change him and sitting next to me when I feed him (which is going well too... but I won't go into detail...lol).  She does want to hold him often, but she rather do it on her own than with help... But that doesn't happen :)

I'm really behind on everyone's journal, so I appologize for not visiting and commenting.  It will probably take a while for me to get back up to speed on life in general... So be patient with me and the journals :)  I do hope to get on here as often as I can to keep everyone updated and share pictures...

Speaking of pics, I've used AOL to add some... I can't seem to get my computer to work the way I'm wanting it too... ARGH!!  Hope you enjoy them...

Gotta go now... Little Man is wanting his Mommy...

Hugs to all... And, thank you all again!!

He's HERE!

Hello to All! I promised Jennifer that I would do her entry for her announcing the arrival of Zachary, so here it goes.   Shortly after 1 p.m. today, (2/22) Jennifer gave birth to a healthy baby boy. He weighted in at 7 lbs 14 oz and measured out to 19 inches in length.   Jennifer was up early sometime around 5 a.m., not much sleep but much worry. She arrived at the hospital at 10:45 a.m. by 12:30, they had her hooked up to an I.V. and were walking her down the hall to where she would have the baby. Shortly after that we learned that Derek had to leave the room, because the doctors decided to put her under a general because she was feeling too much. Later this evening we learned that they should have given the upper more time to work.   She is doing fine but is very tired. She was surrounded by family and friends all day, but I think the one who tore at her heart strings the most was Rowan. She had a hard time seeing her "Mommy" in such a way. Rowan had many melt downs and leak (aka cried) a lot.     Rowan is very curious about her brother and held him twice already, of course with help. She wanted to do it her self and when she was told no, she had another melt down.   I will rap this up for tonight but I promise pictures tomorrow!   Jennifer's Mom, Jill

~Tomorrow, A Road Block, And Beaten To the Punch~

Okay, so there is no graphic today, due to the fact that our home computer has crashed and I'm having to use the Hubby's laptop to do this entry... So, sorry it is so boring.

Tomorrow is the big day... I just want to thank you all for the well wishes and for caring so much about someone you've never really met.  It makes me think there are some really great people out there!  I would have never thought that I'd get such an outpouring of wonderful people visiting my journal... So, thanks again!

We've been doing a bunch of cleaning today.  I've actually been up since about 845am and its now after 130pm and I'm just taking a break to pay some bills and catch up on here...

I really don't think that I'll be able to make it to everyones journal before tomorrow, so please forgive me... I've been a nervous reck all day... And last night I was up from 215am-430am!!  Argh... I guess my nerves are getting the best of me...

I just don't want to see how I'm going to be tonight.  Thank goodness Rowan will be able to get a good nights sleep at my parents... That will be the best thing for her, tomorrow will be a very busy day for all of us.

Okay.  So, there was a road block about how my mom was going to do an entry for me.  Their home computer also took a dive, but luckily my dad was able to fix it.  I'm going to give her instructions today/this evening on how to post an entry so that you all get the news about Zach.

Oh yes.  About the "Beaten to the Punch" part in my subject line.  I mentioned in my last entry that my friend Jolene who is also pregnant was supposed to have her c-section on Wednesday.

Well, I guess her son wanted to come a little sooner because she had him on Sunday morning!  So, instead of our sons being about 20 hours apart, they'll be about 2 days apart... OH well.  He is a healthy baby, 8lbs 9oz, and both he and the mother are doing fine.

Congrats to her and her family...

I just can't believe that tomorrow, my family will be a family of 4 instead of 3... Holy Moly.  There go my nerves again!!

Well, I've gotta run.  I have plenty to do and I need to get Rowan down for her nap... She has gymnastics tonight!  Woo Hoo... Gotta catch it while I can :)

Many Hugs to you all...

Be back when I can... HEHE

~Where Oh Where Has Jennifer Been?~

hellokittygirlandboy.jpgOh where oh where has Jennifer been?  Well, the question is, where hasn't Jennifer been lately??  LOL.  The last few days have been mighty busy here... And if truthfully, if I wasn't doing something productive, I was seriously just enjoying my time on the couch!  LOL.

So, Thursday wasn't a very busy day.  We actually got a pretty late start.  Rowan and I were up around 8am, but didn't accomplish much around the house if anything at all.  I had DVR'd "Mona Lisa Smile" the other day and I watched that.  After our family nap in the afternoon- the Hubby had worked the night before- we all got up and got dressed.

At 5pm... See!  I told you we got a late start!!... We dropped Rowan off at my parents house so they could watch her so we could go do the Valentine's Day shopping that I had promised the Hubby.  So, we were off to the mall!  Let me tell you something, we haven't done shopping for him in a while, so he was pretty happy.

But, he did have a suprise for me in store too!  Once we did go to the mall, he stopped by the jewelry store that we always buy our stuff from to 'pick something up'... He had gotten me a suprise... He had originally intended to give me this suprise the day after Zach was born, but because he felt he was in 'the dog house' for all the work he had been doing, he wanted to give me the suprise then!

Oh, let me tell you something... This boy sure knows what I love...

He had purchased me a Mother's Ring.  Yep!  I have a Mother's Ring!!  It is beautiful too.  There are three birth stones set in it... One representing me (in the middle), and stones representing Rowan and Zachary on the sides.  It is gorgeous... I'm really glad he gave it to me before I was in the hospital, because now I'm able to enjoy it more!!  It would have been such a lovely suprise to get it in the hospital, don't get me wrong... But now I'm able to wear it for a few more days!!

So, he perked my spirits up big time giving me that... And he is a smart little cookie too, because he knew if I had gotten something NICE like that, I would be "willing to spend more" on him... lol.  What a rotten bugger...

Well, we did go and spend some dough on him.  It had been a while since we went shopping for him (we actually couldn't remember the last time we went shopping together like that!!)... So, he got plenty of goodies, let me tell you.  He was very impressed with how I just let him go...

He ended up getting 3 pairs of jeans, a few shirts, a pair of new boots and a new Fossil watch.  Let me tell you... He looks mighty cute in them too :)

After we were doing shopping, we decided to go to dinner.  There is a new place around here called "The Elephant Bar" and we decided to try that out.  He had been to one in Sacramento before, but I had never been... It is a really neat place with some really good food too.  As we were sitting there, enjoying our food and chatting, we both tried to remember when was the last time it was just him and I at a resturant... We really couldn't remember that either!!  I guess we'll be needing to go on some date-dates in the future...

Thank goodness I have such great parents that are willing and waiting to watch the kiddos for us... :::Love You Guys:::

We really enjoyed ourselves on Thursday... But we did miss the Survior premire!  We forgot to DVR it... And now we are kicking ourselves in the booties!  I just hope they have a repeat of it like they usually do... Guess I'm going to have to keep an eye out for that...

Hmm... Okay... What else...

Oh yes.  Friday morning I had my pre-op interview/appointment at the hospital that I'll be having Zachary in.  My mom went with me, because the Hubby had dog training, and I always like to have a second pair of ears gathering information!  Well, they informed me that I'll be checking into the hospital Tuesday morning at 1045am and the surgery is scheduled for 1220pm.  Woo Hoo!!  It is coming sooo quickly now...

Well, after my interview with the charge nurse there... I had to go to the lab and give blood.  Always a fun fun thing to do.  Well, the dude that was taking my blood forgot he had to take a vial for the blood blank and I almost left with out it having been done!  So, in the end, I had to be stuck in both arms (yeah, really pretty!!) and now I'm wearing a blood bank wrist band until Tuesday!  He told me that I CAN'T LOOSE THE WRIST BAND or I'd be screwed... Basically, if it falls off, I better be finding a way to put it back on!  lol... Let me tell you though, it is getting kinda annoying already and I have a few more days of wearing it to go!!!!

After we left the hospital, my mom and I went and got some frozen yogurt again... Hehe... I'm sooo bad... But I only have a few more days left to 'blame it on being pregnant'... Hehe.

We ended up having my parents for dinner last night too.  We didn't make Baked Potato Soup the other night, so that is what we had last night... Along with Chicken and Green Beans.  It is nice to have my mom and dad over... To treat them to dinner, because it always seems that I'm having dinner at their house :)  Hehe... So, of course Miss Rowan enjoyed having her Grandpa-pa and YaYa over!  I did buy an apple pie for dessert and sent some home with them too...  But of course, I've already enjoyed a few pieces... lol... See, I told you I was being bad!!

My friend Amy (Auntie Amy to Ro) came over to visit last night.  I haven't seen her in a while.  She has started her Student Teaching as the last part of her college schooling... So, she has been pretty busy.

I did also get a phone call from my friend Jolene in Washington... See, we went to school together, then she got married to her Navy man and lives up there.  Well, she has a son that is about 6mons older than Rowan and is now pregnant with her second son.  But the kicker is, we are at the same stage in pregnancy and she is in fact having her baby the day after Zachary comes!!  It has been sooo awesome to have somone to talk to everyday (via IM) about the aches and pains... The nervousness... The excitment... So, we heard from her last night.  It was great to actually talk to her, because most of the talking we do is via the computer!  I'll definetly be calling her after her little man is born to see how she is doing...

Lets see... What else can I ramble on about??  It seems like I've been away forever... Oh yes... I'm waaaayyyy behind on journals, so if you don't see a comment in your journal and I'm a regular commenter, I'm sorry.  I'll try to catch up, but these last few days are going to be very busy here at "The Pickle Jar" as Barbie likes to call it ;)

Oh!  I'm going to have my mom post an entry probably on Tuesday night or Wednesday sharing information and pictures about Zachary.  I just hope I can explain how to put the pictures in (Via AOL... much easier, I'd think) with out confusing her too much... So, keep an eye out for that!

Tonight and tomorrow night are the Hubby's last two days at work for about 6 weeks.  He will continue to do dog and SWAT training, but nothing else!  Except for being at home and taking care of me and his kiddos :)  He seems really excited about that... I just hope we don't kill each other being in such close conditions for so long... lol.

I'm going to go finish cleaning Rowan's room today/tomorrow... I was doing that the other day, but standing and bending got to me.  So, that is my main goal for this weekend.  Then on Monday, the Hubby will be off, and we'll be cleaning our room from top to bottom and anything else in the house that needs a last minute cleaning before Tuesday... Doesn't that just sound like a bunch of fun!?!?  Nah, it doesn't to me either... Oh well, its gotta be done.

Well, I think I've truly rambled on and on much about nothing... lol.  I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!

::Hugs::

~Tired Girl Today~

 angelbabywithbutterflies.bmp

I'm tired today.  I think I've just done a little too much... LOL.  Who knows... Sleep is coming less and less... And I'm still pushing ahead like I would normally, so, a nap is sounding really good to me right now.

Lets see.  We didn't go shopping yesterday, like I knew we wouldn't.  But thats okay.  The Hubby and I cleaned for a bit after he got home from dog training and then after some lunch, we all took a nap!  Woo Hoo.  Rowan and I got up about an hour and a half... But the Hubby took in some 3 hours of sleep.  Probably a good thing, or I would have been dealing with a big ol' monster!

We didn't do much for the rest of the evening.  The Hubby did go and get some pizza's for dinner... Yum Yum.  I've been wanting pizza... Well, I've been wanting baked potato soup too... But pizza is what we decided would be the easiest on us last night since neither of us wanted to go to the store to get what we needed for the soup...

Oh well.  The pizza was good enough.  Besides the fact that they messed up on my order.  I wanted pan crust on both pizzas, but only got it on one... And because the Hubby picked them up, he didn't realize.  Oh well.  Life goes on... With or without pan crust :)

We just basically hung around last night and watched tv.  I was pretty tired by the time I hit the bed last night... But of course my body wasn't being nice... I was hit with so many hip cramps and I was soooo hot that I ended up back out on the couch.  Anyone know how to stop hip cramps (besides eating banana's?)???  I know how to fix the leg cramps, thank you Barbie, but hip cramps are of a different sort!

This morning, the Hubby had some more dog training... But once he did get home, we were off to Target!  There were so many things on my list to buy that we ended up spending sooo much.  I swear, either we don't buy a thing or buy the whole darn store out!  LOL.

Actually, the things we did buy were pretty much needed.  We picked up Rowan her 'gift from Zachary' with out her noticing... hehe.  We got her a Graco 3-in-1 baby stroller system and then a Graco Baby that sits in a car/booster seat.  She has ruined her old baby stroller, so we thought she'd enjoy something "like Mommy's" to play with after Zach gets here.  This way, when I'm doing something with Zach, she can do it with her baby too!  I'm sure she'll be a very big helper, but there will be times that she won't be able to help, so hopefully having her own baby will come in handy then.

I also picked up some stuff that I'll be needing in the hospital.  You know, like shampoo/conditioner, soaps, lotions and other toiletries for my stay... I'll more than likely be there for three nights total... So, I'll wanna be able to clean up!  Not going to get stinky :)

We did make it down the baby aisle too.  I picked up some binkies (or ruff's as Rowan calls them), a grooming set, and some onesies that I just couldn't pass up because they were too cute.  I also grabbed some wipes that were a pretty good price.  6-72count refills for only $8.50!!  Of course they are the Target brand, but who cares!  We didn't get any diapers though... We will be getting those from Costco after we find out how much Mr. Zachary weighs!!

With Rowan, I ended up taking back about 7 or 8 bags of Newborn diapers because she didn't fit into them... So, we won't be doing that again!  The Hubby will pick up enough of the right size right after he is born and then we'll stock up once I'm ready to make a trip out of the house... Or I can always have him do it or get one of my loving family members to go ;) hehe

Of course there were other things that we purchased from Target to make our bill so high... But nothing too interesting, unless you like hearing about Draino and Toilet Bowl cleaner... lol.  So, thats pretty much our Target trip!

We did go to Jamba Juice afterwards, since it is rightthere and I figured we all could use the healthy vitamins in them.  Miss Rowan enjoyed her "kid" cup... I'm still kinda up in the air if she has another cold or allergies.  She has been sneezing more and has an awful runny nose.  I've been giving her meds, so they seem to be helping... Plus, with the nap she is taking now, I hope she feels better!  She can't be sick too long either... Because she won't be able to come to the hospital to visit us if she is sick!!  And that just won't do!!!

Speaking of the hospital.  I was supposed to go for my Pre-Op appointment/interview on Monday... But the airhead that made my original appointment didn't realize that it is a holiday (Presidents Day) and that the Same Day Surgery center would be closed... Soooo.  I go on Friday for my interview (or so they call it) at 1045am.

Unfortunetly, because my Hubby doesn't know what a Day Off is, he won't be able to go with me.  He is doing more dog training that day, and because he arranged everything between departments, he can't back out!  Thank goodness my Mommy loves me and will come with me :)  And yes, today is his day off too... And he is working tonight!!  Argh... So it is just me and Princess Rowan.

But if you can believe this... He isn't doing a thing tomorrow that has to do with work!  We are still planning on going shopping and having lunch, my Valentine gift for him.  I just don't know when, since he'll probably get home late again tonight (330am!).  I'm thinking it will be an afternoon date... lol.  Oh well... As long as we get to go out, that is all that matters.

I've been working on Rowan's room this afternoon.  It is funny how a three year old can tear up a room sooo quickly!  Plus, she has sooo many clothes in her drawers and closet that she doesn't wear, so I'm cleaning them out.  I filled up a 25gl plastic container with clothes!!  The other container I picked up today will be filled with toys that she doesn't play with... That way I can put those away for a while and then bring them back out later, so she can play with "new" stuff!  LOL.  Some of the stuff that I do have, Zach will be able to play with later on too... So hey, it all works!

I'm just tired.  And my back is killing me from standing up so long trying to clean her room and doing my shopping!  So, I think I'm going to go and sit on the couch and rest while Miss Rowan is taking her nap!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Wednesday...

::Smiles and Hugs::

~It's Tuesday Already~

       bearintub.jpg

Oh I would so love to go soak in the tub right now... Heck, I wish I could go soak in my hot tub, but that isn't the best thing to do while being preggo.  So, I'm guessing that a soak in the bath will be something I do later tonight... hehe.

I'm so achy and feeling old right now.  I swear, I must look like a 70 year old woman when I try to get out of bed.  The cramps in my hips are getting worse and worse, so the mornings are getting harder and harder.

This morning I was up at 730am to get ready for my doctors appointment.  It was really hard to because I slept pretty bad last night.  I swear, my mind was racing with things that needed to be done and stuff I want to get done, so bad that I wasn't sleeping.  And then when I finally went to sleep, I was waking up every few hours to use the potty!  I'm complaining, I know... I'll stop now :)

So, my doctors appointment went pretty well today.  Because I'm 37 weeks along, they made me get 'checked'.  YUCKY.  Well, it was for no good too, because I'm not even close to going into labor he said!  LOL.  I guess that says something... But other than that, my blood pressure was great (120/74) and my weight is a little more than I wish it would be, but I only have 6 more days...

Then I had to fill out paper work and sign my name on the dotted line to consent for the c-section on the 22nd.  That is the last time that I have a scheduled appointment at the doctors office until after the baby is born... I do have a pre-op appointment at the hospital on the 21st, but I won't be seeing the doctor again until the morning of the c-section!  Goodness gracious!  How time flies...

The Hubby and I were supposed to go shopping today as his Valentine's gift.  I really don't think that will be happening today.  He didn't get home from work until 420 this morning and then was up again at 615am to go to dog training.  So needless to say, he will be in a pretty cranky mood until he gets a nap!

Maybe tomorrow will be better... Who knows.  Plus the weather is so icky here, I'm really not in the mood to be going out in the rain.  I do have some house work that can be done, so maybe after a family nap this afternoon, we'll do that... Cleaning house is a whole lot easier when there is more than one person doing it.

Oh yes.  I think Miss Rowan has allergies... Bummer deal.  The almond blossoms have started to bloom and she is getting stuffy and had a little cough last night as she was trying to sleep.  I hope they aren't too bad if she does have them, because living where we live, she'll be miserable (sp?).

And yes, we did make her gymnastics class last night.  She did okay... Last night she was kinda in the 'Monkey See, Monkey Do' attitude... So seeing the other two girls in that class go wild didn't help her.  I had to give her the "LOOK" last night a few times to straighten her out!

Well, the hubby is home... Gotta go.  Have a great day.

:Hugs:

~Happy Valentine's Day~

HappyValentinesDay.bmp

Well, Happy Valentine's Day to you all out there... May your day be filled with love.  Either by someone you are with, a family member or friend... Everyone deserves a bit o' love sometimes ;)

There isn't much going on with me today.  The Hubby has to work this evening, so of course there isn't some fancy dinner that we are going to or anything like that.  Besides the fact that we can go out to dinner any other time of the year and not have to pay the very expensive prices you do tonight... lol.

I did happen to be up at 330am this morning getting something to drink when he came home from work.  He brought in with him my Valentine's gift.  I guess he had been keeping it at work so I wouldn't catch a glimpse of it... Silly boy, only he snoops :)  Well, let me tell you, he sure suprised me this year.

He purchased me this beautiful jewelry box from "Things Remembered".  He said I needed something nice to keep all my 'pretties' in.  LOL.  What a sweet heart.  Plus, he told me that one day, his goal is to fill it up with diamonds.  haha.  Now that is a goal I really don't mind.  He had the plate on top personalized also, with:
                                              Jennifer
                                     Happy Valentine's Day
                                              2-14-05

What a sweet heart!  He actually thought I was expecting some jewelry... Which I wouldn't have minded, but I never expect that.  So, to get a pretty jewelry box is a great suprise.

Now, remember, Rowan and I had built him a Build-A-Bear for Valentine's.  Well, when I found out (not purposely) how much he had spent on me, by looking at our bank statement online, I kinda got upset and I tried to figure out something else to get him besides that.

So, I actually came up with the idea of taking him on a shopping spree.  Now this might sound weird to some of you, but my husband loves to shop and buy clothes.  Before we got together, he didn't bat an eye at spending $25 on two pairs of underwear or $85 on a pair of jeans at a place called Structure (now Express for Men).  Now all he really gets is Gap and Old Navy clothes... So, I decided to treat him to a nice new outfit or two.  He works his butt of soooo much that I think he deserves some nicer looking clothes... Not like there is anything wrong with Gap or Old Navy, believe me... I find them to be just fine and so does he... But sometimes, you just gotta have some nice nice stuff :D

So, tomorrow after my pre-op appointment at the doctors office and after he is done with dog training, just he and I are going to go to lunch and then do some shopping.  My mom is being kind enough to watch Princess Ro for a while so we can do it alone... I don't know how long Rowan would last while her Daddy shops, so it is probably better that she doesn't come.  Heck, I don't know how long I'll be able to last... lol.

Last Monday I was so off on my days that I forgot that Rowan had gymnastics.  Well, I'm determined not to forget tonight.  I have to make sure that I'm out of this house by 525pm to get her little hiny there on time!  She doesn't deserve to miss class again cause of my blondeness... lol.  Plus, we have this Monday and next and then I probably won't be attending her class for a few weeks.  She'll be taken either by my Mom or the Hubby... because I'm sure I won't be up to going and sitting for 50mins right after having Zach.

Oh yes, speaking of that... There is 7 days left for us here as a family of 3!  I truly can't believe that... In another week, I'll be laid up in the hospital having a baby!  Oh goodness, here goes the panic attack :)  LOL.  I just hope I make it to my scheduled date...

I've been feeling pretty achy and painy... Feeling huge and uncomfortable... With contractions here and there.  I just hope that I can hold out and not go into labor on my own.  Cause that will be one scary deal!  I rather just go in to the hospital on the 22nd at 1045am and have them take me off to a room, hook me up to monitors, prep me for surgery, stick a needle in my back to numb me and then take me off to the OR to have the baby!  I don't wanna deal with contractions and wondering if I'm in labor or not... lol.  I know, what a pain I am...

But the countdown is getting really close.  And with the Hubby having only 3 days of work left, it is feeling a whole lot more real!  Oh I can't wait!

Well, I've truly rambled on enough now.  I hope that the Alerts are back up and running sometime soon.  I've been going and checking everyones and checking for comments too... Cause I ain't getting those either!  So, if I've missed your journal, just yell... But not too loudly :D

Have a great Monday... And once again, Happy Valentine's Day!!

::Hugs and Kisses::

~Poophie on Alerts and An Update of Sorts~

*Tag Lounge- Don't know if I've used this one... But its just too darn cute*

Well, I'm just waking up.  Someone please remind me to never get up at 515am when the Hubby comes home to chit-chat with him again!  I swear, I didn't fall back to sleep until around 630am and then sleeping was pretty crappy!  I guess its a better thing that I wasn't up at his usual return time (230am)... But I wish I could have fallen back to sleep quicker...

I'm thinking a nap this afternoon will be in order.  Hopefully I can get the kiddo to lay down with me... Because getting her to nap yesterday wasn't happening and she was a big ol' brat :D

Okay.  So, yesterday I did end up getting cleaned up and heading to the grocery store.  It was pretty busy for a Saturday mid-morning.  I swear... If someone stands right on me again as I'm paying next time I'm in the store, I'm gonna have to say something.  I don't know what the deal has been lately, but every where I go, someone is standing right at my back as I'm trying to pay.  Don't they know it is rude??  Hello!  You are entering my personal space.... And that I don't want them seeing my PIN number or checks???  Argh!!!

No more complaining... SORRY!

SO, I went to the grocery store.  Yippee.  Now I have food in the house.  That is always a good thing.  When I got home from the store, I found myself cleaning house once again.  I did manage to have some lunch with Rowan and the Hubby, before he went to work... But I was basically cleaning.

I swear, laundry never ends in my house and the dust bunnies gather in every corner... Just taunting me!  So, I swept... Swept... And swept some more.  At one point, I turned to the Hubby and said, "Do you realize that I'm 37 weeks pregnant and I'm cleaning this house???"... He looked at me and said, "I was just thinking how great it is that you are still doing stuff like that!  Thank you!"...

Holy Moly... I got a Thank You!!!  (dont worry, I get the Thank You's a lot!) What he doesn't realize that once he goes on his days off this week (starts Tuesday), and when he starts cleaning, is that is when I'm done!  I'm going to lay my butt on the couch and watch him clean... Haha!  I deserve that right?

Anywho...

Princess WhyWhy was in such a mood yesterday.  She didn't get her nap due to people coming and going yesterday, so let me tell you... She wasn't a very happy camper.  Testing is her new thing too.  She'll pretend she doesn't her me (it doesn't fly with the Daddy) and wait until I start in on her to say, "I'm doing it" or "I am!" or give some other random response.  So let me tell you something... She is going to be getting her naps from now on.  No matter who is here or who is coming, she'll be sleeping!  Plus the fact that she was out like a like at 745pm last night tells me she needs them still.

Last night I tried some new soup.  Chicken Tortilla by Wolfgang Puck.  It was pretty good.  I just added some salt (love salt!!) and some Sharp Cheddar cheese and it was pretty tasty.  They were on sale at the grocery store for $.99 so I couldn't pass it up.  I won't be buying them at regular price though... I can't spend almost $3 on a can of soup!  Eww, no way.  SO, if you wanna try something new and its on sale, I recommend that (the Chicken Tortilla) and the Old Country Tomato Basil.  Those are the only two that I've tried... So far.

Today I'm planning on just being quiet.  My body is telling me that I shouldn't be doing too much already this morning.  I just have to try to keep the Princess quiet while Daddy sleeps though... That will be a tough one.  After he is awake, we are going to have linguicia sandwiches and just visit until he is off to work.  Then after he is gone, we will then make our way to my parents house to hang out with them.  I'm hoping it doesn't rain today like they say it might, because Rowan has been dying to ride her bike again!  Taking her out to spend some energry doing that would be a great thing!

Well, it is time for some breakfast.  I'm starving and I need my daily caffine fix!!  Woo Hoo, here comes the Diet Pepsi!  I hope everyone has a great Sunday...

~The Weekend~

valentinebearwithcandies.jpg *tag lounge*

Well, I'm going to try this again.  Last night, I tried twice to do an entry and I ended up loosing both of them... Once, I don't even know how and the second time I lost my AOL connection... Right before I was about to hit SAVE too.  How great... So, anyways, here we go....

Lets see.  Friday started out really well.  I was up around 9am and really enjoyed the extra sleep I got after the Hubby was out of the bed, because as you all know, I've been sleeping like dog-dodo lately.  Well, after Rowan and I were up and had breakfast, it was time to get ready...

Because I had a hair appointment... Woo Hoo for me!!

So, I headed into town to drop Rowan off at my mom and dads- my dad was playing babysitter for us- and to pick my mom up to go to our hair appointment.  Grandpa-pa planned on taking Miss Rowan to see the new "Winnie the Pooh" movie while we were out too... So, of course Rowan was very excited about that.

After I dropped Ro off and picked my mom up, we were off to pick up some flowers for the ladies at the salon.  Remember, one of the gals there gave me all those beautiful baby clothes and that wonderful bassinet.  So, I thought flowers would be a nice way to say Thank You for thinking of me and of my little man... And let me tell you, my hair lady loved the flowers :)

Oh yes... Getting my hair done was great too!  I literally hadn't had my hair done since the middle of December, so it was looking pretty bad.  Well, I had her put more blonde highlights in and just give me a trim.  She did give me some of my layers back so I can scrunch my hair like I've been liking to do... But she also left length so I can pull my hair up also :)

Easy and simple are the best for me... And she knows that!

After our hair appointment, my mom and I went to the local frozen yogurt place to get a treat... Hehe.  I got a Chocolate Vanilla Swirl with Heath bar toppings.  Oh so yummy.  The frozen yogurt is 98% fat free... but with the candy bar on top... haha.  I so want another one too.  Actually, I've been wanting a Jamba Juice lately too.  So, I'm thinking one of those will be my treat for today...

If I leave my house!

Anyways.  Miss Rowan and Grandpa-pa enjoyed the movie yesterday afternoon.  She also enjoyed the popcorn, soda and M&M's that came along with going too.  Go figure with my sweet tooth of a kid!  Then we also had dinner over at my parents house last night.  Even the Hubby was able to stop by and enjoy a bite!  So, that was pretty much my Friday...

Today I'm kinda stuck between a rock and a hard place!  I have no desire to get up and out of the house, but I have nothing in the house to eat!  I so need to go to the grocery store... But I just don't wanna.

I'm guessing that if I get up and get dressed, I'll feel different... But maybe I'll wait a little while.  It is still pretty early (930am).  Until then, I'm guessing I should clean my house that never seems to stay clean for more than a day!  Argh.

Thank goodness the Hubby has exactly 5 days of work left... He'll definetly be a big ol' help when he is off!  LOL.  He is actually off Tues-Fri this week too.  So, I'm hoping we can accomplish some things around the house and also do some stock up shopping...

Costco here we come!!!

Oh yes... The countdown is down to 9 days until the 22nd!  Woo Hoo.  I swear, I feel like I'm going to explode anytime soon though.  I just hope I don't!  I rather know that I'm going in there on the 22nd and just have it done that way :)

Well, I better get a move on.  Things aren't getting done with me sitting here on the computer!  Hope you all have a great weekend.

HUGS

~Feeling Better and Proud~

                   ValentineDoggieheartprints.jpg

I'm feeling so much better today.  I still feel a little sickie... Mostly a stuffy nose, but my ear is no longer hurting me and my throat feels 100% better!  Thank goodness for cold meds, prenatal vitamins and Orange Juice...

Last night, we also had some spicy double wrapped chicken burritos, which really opened up my sinus'... So, I think having that for dinner even seemed to help!  Woo Hoo.

Okay, so it is almost 1pm here in California and I'm still in my night gown.  LOL.  I slept like ca-ca again last night... Up and down pretty much all night.  I guess I should start to get used to it.  But it really doesn't make any sense unless there is a baby to be feeding... lol.  So, we were up late this morning, around 930am.

But just because I was up late, doesn't mean I haven't accomplished anything today!  Yep, you heard me right... I did something that I've been wanting to do and I'm so proud that I finally got it done!

I got every bit of clothing for Zachary into his room today and put away.  The room itself isn't really ready for him... Needs a paint job, carpets cleaned and then actually have the crib put together... But I have all his clothes either in the drawers or hung up.  I have all the burping clothes and towels put away in the cabinet in there.  I even have all the blankets folded in drawers, waiting to be used.

The bassinet is finally out of my front room and in my room, next to the bed.  I'm thinking I might have to 'change bedsides' with the Hubby because I'm right next to the wall and there isn't much room for it there... But we'll see how it goes.  I've still got a few more days to get everything in order.  I'm even going to try to get my hospital bag ready today... You never know what could happen and it is always best to be prepared!

I just have to make my way over to Babycenter.com and get a refresher course on what I need to pack... lol.  I have Zach's picture/take home outfit and blanket already picked out... And my nightgowns... But that is about it!  So, I just need to remember what I brought last time, and with the help of Babycenter.com, I'll be able to pack a bag.

Tonight I'm going over to my SIL's house for a small Home Interiors Party.  I'm not sure what I'll purchase, but I'll end up getting something I'm sure.  They have a bunch of cute new kid stuff, so I might find something for the kiddo's room... They have some butterfly/dragonfly themed stuffed that would match her room pretty well... So, I'll check that out.  Plus, you can't pass up their candles and such...

Even though my brother's girlfriend is having a PartyLite party this weekend and I'm planning on placing an order with her for some too ;)  Hehe... Can't have too many candles, now can you?

And tomorrow... Oh, I can't wait for tomorrow... Because I'm finally getting my hair done!!  Woo Hoo!!!!!!

Its been a while and I really need a highlight job bad... I'm thinking more blonde because its going to be spring pretty soon- and for the fact that the hubby loves the blonde.  But I'm not going to cut it though.  Just a trim.  I want long hair once again... But we'll see how well the growing out process goes with me.  Luckily, having long hair is pretty easy to just put up... haha.  I'm so simple!

Well, I must be off.  Time to get the Princess down for a nappy-nap and then it will be time for me to get cleaned up.  I realized that I had to actually do my hair and get dressed for this evening... What? Lounge pants or a nightgown won't fly at a Home Interiors party??  lol.

Have a great Thursday everyone...

~I Think~

AniWomaninWhite.bmp*tag lounge... too cute*

Well, I have this awful feeling....

I think Heather is passing germs via internet... Because I think I might be coming down with something!

Last night, I woke up to a popping noise in my ear.  Almost like I had built up suction or something from just laying on that side....

It hasn't really been bothering me until this afternoon when I started feeling stuffed up and my throat is getting that feeling...

Ya know.  The one that makes you feel like your throat (on the outside) is 50x bigger than it is.  And I just know my lymph nodes are swollen!

Bring on the orange juice, I'm saying...

But I'm also keeping my fingers crossed... I don't wanna be sick... I don't wanna!!

I have too much to do in too little of time to be sick... Argh.

And to whomever got me sick...

:P:::::: on you!  :)

Hoping you all have a better Wednesday than me...

Oh yes, the girls day went just fine... Miss Rowan loves to hang out with her cousin.  At least having her cousin around kept her occupied for a while... And I got to lay on the couch.

Ta-ta for now all...

::Loves and Hugs::

~Just A Quickie~

ButterflysandDragonflys.jpg  This entry is going to be a quickie for me today.  I am in the process of getting myself and the Princess WhyWhy up and ready to get going.  We are going to go pick up her cousin (my 9 year old niece) from school in a little bit... But I just wanted to drop in and say hello!

Oh yes, the countdown has truly begun here at my house.  The Hubby has a total of 7 days of work left (not including his days off) before he is on his family leave.  He got all his paper work filled out last night while he was down at the police station working out... And was even informed about another possible act he could apply for that would help him buy back his time that he is taking off from work.  I'm going to have to look into it, but another officer has already been approved and is getting money back from the time he took off, so, it looks good.

The countdown to Wacky Zachy (as Lisa calls him) has also really started... If all goes as plan (that includes me not going into labor anytime soon!!) he will be here in 12 days!!!  I don't count the 22nd because that is the actual day I'm going to have him... So, in 12 days, there will be a new addition!!  Woo Hoo.

As for today... We are hopefully going to be able to enjoy the semi-nice weather outside.  Rowan wants to ride her bike and blow bubbles with her cousin... And I rather not be stuck in the house for so many hours watching the Disney or some other channel!!  Hopefully my plan will work :D

Well, I have to run... Gotta head into town and deposit my check and pick some money up for McDonald's for lunch... The girls love McDonald's!!

Have a great Wednesday all...

~Tuesday Tuesday~

   BigPinkHearts.jpg

Well, I thought it was going to be pretty easy to get on the computer each day and check my emails and keep up with the journals that I love to read... Heck to keep up with mine too!  I mean, yes, I've managed to get on here and pretty much do an entry for each day, but I swear, it seems like I don't have much to talk about anymore since I'm off of work... And I barely talked about work before!!!  Maybe being away from home and doing entries at work gave me a different outlook and something to write about... lol.

Lets see... Last night, I totally forgot that it was Monday and that it was gym night for Rowan.  LOL.  What a horrible mom I am.  So, right at 530pm I realized that she had gym, then quickly realized neither she nor I were up to going... We had been outside for the last hour and a half... Her riding her bike and me just keeping up with her!  So, unfortunetly, we didn't go... Oh well... Thank goodness it comes every Monday :D

While the Hubby was working out, Rowan and I had our nightly ritual... BATH TIME!!!  I'm trying to sneak in as much time as possible with her now, before Zachary comes, so every chance I get, I'm trying to do something with her.  Then after bath time, we started to make our dinner...

Home made pizza's... Yum Yum.

We did watch "The Village" last night as a family.  Wow boy, was I not expecting that movie to be the way it was... I enjoyed it!  Don't get me wrong... But I wasn't expecting what happened to happen... I'll stop there for those out there like me that are forever behind on movies... hehe.

I slept like crap again last night... I even went out to my best friend, the couch, and slept there... But even that didn't seem to help.  I was hot and uncomfortable every where I was.  Oh well... It is all for a good reason and it is only for another 13 days... AAAAHHHHH

Speaking of which.  I had my doctor's appointment today.  Miss Rowan and my mom both came with me... I only gained another 1.5lbs and my blood pressure was about the same 130/72.  He didn't seem to interested in that, so I'm guessing it was okay.  I'm measuring out just fine and Zach's heartbeat was really good.  He even let me feel that his head is down!  What a weird thing to feel a head down in your belly... Zachary didn't like it much... He proceeded to kick and squirm after that.  Hey, would you want your head smushed?  Nah, didn't think so ;)

I'm on for another appointment next Tuesday... That will be my last OB appointment and my Pre-Op appointment all at the same time.  Wow... How quickly the time has flown... In two weeks, I won't be a mother to one, but a mother to two... Our family won't be a family of 3 anymore... But a family of 4... I can't wait!!

After my appointment, my mom, Rowan and I were off to the mall.  I stopped at JcPenney's to check out some braziers (haha) and some nightgowns... And ended up finding some that I could actually live with until I was able to wear the pretty Victoria's Secret stuff again!  That will be a while, but hey, you don't want to ruin $40 bra's with breast milk.  I also picked up two nightgowns... One for the hospital stay and another one for home.  They both button down the front and are really pretty... I think I'll be taking the blue one with me to the hospital and leaving the white one with little rose buds to my house... Don't want to be giving anyone a show while the come and visit :D

After JcPenney's, we were off to Build-A-Bear.  Rowan and I built the Daddy (or my Hubby) a bear for Valentine's day.  He is soo cute.  We named him Hunny Bear and he is their Valentine Hugs bear and wearing valentine boxers.  Too cute.  The bear will also go with some cards and PJ's from Old Navy that we had gotten him... Not much... But I think Valentine's day is more of a "Hallmark Holiday" than anything... lol

After we had made a bear, my mom decided we should go get some lunch.  So it was off to Sweet River for a yum-yum lunch.  It was nice to just get out and be the girls... We see each other a lot... But to just spend time as "the girls" is something we don't do often... So Mom! Thanks for the Girls Day Out!!

That has been pretty much our day today... Rowan is on the couch, watching "Mary Poppins" for the millionth time.  I'm hoping she'll take a nap pretty soon.  The Hubby is at the mall now with a friend, buying me and Rowan something for Valentine's day... I'm excited to see what he does this year... He is great at buying me stuff.  I just told him not to get overboard this year... Need the money for diapers and everything pretty soon :)

Well, I'm off to get the Princess down for a nap and then think about cleaning house, once again.  Its funny how you can clean one thing one day and then turn around have to do it again the next!!  Thank goodness the Hubby is off again tonight and tomorrow... Woo Hoo... That means I'll have HELP!!

Toodles to all...

~My First Official Day Off~

          Kittiessleepinginheart.bmp

Well, today is my first official day off of work... Let me tell you, it felt great last night knowing that I didn't have to get up at 545am to get ready for work.  My sleep has been so broken lately- with getting up to use the potty every few hours and getting cramps in my hips- I was pretty happy to sleep in until about 9am this morning!  Woo Hoo for me!

It was nice to get up this morning and not have to rush around and try to get myself and Rowan ready to leave the house.  Instead, I got up, checked my emails and just relaxed for a little while.  Then it was off to the showers to get cleaned up because the Hubby was taking his girls out to a late breakfast at IHOP.  Yum Yum.  The breakfast sampler definetly hit the spot and I don't think I'll be eating again until later this evening!  LOL.

Now I'm getting ready to go do some stuff in Zachary's room.  I really need to put away all the clothes that I've received and basically put everything else away too!  The room isn't exactly done being cleaned out and what not, but I'm tired of having baby clothes sitting in the bassinet in the front room!  Haha.  So, that is one of my projects for today...

The second is just to basically keep cleaning the house.  We want our house to be spotless and dustless (yeah right!) by the time that Zachary arrives home.  So, that means I have 14 days (until the 22nd!!) until I head off to the hospital to have this baby to get my house in spit-spot condition!  Oh my Oh my... the challenges in that one :)

Having a three year old always means you are cleaning up something too... lol.

Tomorrow I have a doctor's appointment at 11:15am.  My mom and Rowan will be going with me, even though the Hubby is off.  After the appt, we are going to go to the mall and pick something up for a Valentine's gift... Plus, my mom has to do some returning of a few things... So, we'll make it a girls day out!  We'll have a girls day out while the Hubby is home cleaning!!  Woo Hoo... Sounds good to me!

The next few days are probably going to be pretty much a bore.  Cleaning and cleaning.  Woo Hoo.  Luckily, my SIL is having a Home Interiors Party on Thursday night... Maybe I'll find some cute stuff to have in my house.  That or just get some candles that smell yummy.  Then on Friday I'm getting my hair done!!!  Oh My, I can't wait... The last time I got it done was Dec 17th!!  I desperately need a trim and to have my highlights re-done.  My outgrowth is seriously like 3 inches!!  I can't believe how much my hair (and my nails!) have been growing in the last few months... Those Prenatal Vitamins really do help!

Well, I'm off to try to get Miss Rowan down for a nap... She hasn't been on her schedule too much lately, so I need to work on that... I hope you all have a great Monday...

~Super Bowl Sunday~

                             pinkdoggiecupid.jpg

Are you ready for some football???  Eh, me neither... LOL.  Just kidding.  I actually enjoy football a lot, but it just doesn't seem like it should be Super Bowl Sunday or something...

I do have some stake in a pool from work... Hopefully, with some luck, I'll pull of a quarter or two... That would be some nice extra change... Wish me luck!!

Luckily for me, the Hubby changed his mind about having people come over today.  I don't know if it is the fact that he has had only 2.5 hours of sleep or what, but he said no one is coming over... Oh well.  Too-bad, so sad :D  I guess he didn't want to entertain company as a cranky grouch!  Haha.  But, I am still off to the grocery store in a little while to pick up stuff for our snacks and dinners for the next couple of days- hopefully I make it there before the crowd gets there!

He has requested hot wings and artichoke dip... Hmm, sounds pretty good... and very football-ish.  I'm thinking we are going to make homemade pizza's for dinner though.  Those are always good!

So much for Rowan getting the hint that we didn't have to wake up at 745/8am every morning.  I swear, 8 am hit and she was wide awake, asking to go to the frontroom to watch her shows.  Instead, I told her to turn the TV on in my room and watch them there... That way I could sneak in some more sleep.  Heck, 45mins helps :D  Hehe.

But as soon as JoJo was over, she was wanting "num-nums" and wanting to go to the frontroom... So we went.  I even made us pancakes... That she is neglecting to eat right now... Argh!  She is the one who wanted them too!!  LOL.  Silly girl...

I guess I should be getting ready to go.  Its almost 10am and I really don't want to get stuck with all the crowds at the grocery store.  I'm very non-people lately... Haha.  Especially ones that will stand right next to you as you are writting out a check or entering your pin number into the machine at the counter!  What is with those people???  Sorry, just venting!!

I still have plenty of laundry to clean and fold... Whoopie!  Hmm, maybe I'll give my parents a call and see what they are doing this afternoon.  I'm sure Miss Rowan would love to see her Grandpa-pa and YaYa.

Hope you all have a wonderful Super Bowl Sunday...

~Saturday and Cleaning Fun~

          anibutterflys.bmpanibutterflys.bmpanibutterflys.bmpanibutterflys.bmpanibutterflys.bmp

Okay! So I have actually accomplished some things today... I'm pretty proud to say... What a difference a day makes.  I was up today at 930am- I'm thinking Rowan is getting the hint we don't have to get up as early anymore- Woo Hoo!  After having some breakfast and watching "Medical Investigations" that I had DVR'd last night, I was off to get cleaned up!

Get this... I was out of my house at noon to go do some shopping at Target!  Oh wow... Remind me again why I went there at that time?  Let me just say, if I do decide to go to Target again on a Saturday, it will be earlier than noon.  That place was packed... People were everywhere shopping for everything... And it isn't like they were having a grand ol' sale or anything...

I picked up some stuff I needed and some other stuff that I wanted.  I can tell you one thing though, I wasn't expecting to spend so darn much!  When the girl gave me a total, I about went into labor.  Okay, maybe not, but I'm sure my jaw dropped!

Lets see... What didn't I get today at Target?  Haha.  Well, I promised Miss Rowan that I would pick her up "Mulan 2" and "Mary Poppins" because she has been such a good girl lately and she has been wanting both... Plus, I want to secretly spoil her now, while I get that chance... I also picked her up some new socks and undies.  We seem to have a "Sock Monster" here at our house and are always loosing matching pairs of her socks.  I don't know how many times she has left the house this week alone with mis-matched socks!  I know, I know... horrible ;)  I also picked her up a new nightgown that has three Disney Princess' on it... She loves those... She rather wear her PJ's than anything else, so why not make sure they are cute... haha.

I did pick myself up a new pair of PJ's, but I'm going to keep them for the stay at the hospital.  They are Strawberry Shortcake pj's... Pink and Red... Perfect colors for a hospital stay, if you get my drift... I also grabbed myself a pair of lounge pants and a tank so I have some other pants besides jeans to wear after I get home, so I don't look horrible when I have visitors.  Only so many people should see you in PJ's and people your husband works with aren't some of them... Haha.  They'll definetly come in handy.

I did pick up some stuff in the baby section too.  I found a really nice diaper bag, Eddie Bauer (woo hoo...) for $35 (hey it could have been more!)... And I also picked up some breast pads (I know, TMI) and a few containers of these bags you keep in your diaper bag to throw away the stinky diapers in... Another thing I picked up were thank you cards.

Get this, one of the things that I accomplised today that I'm really proud of were the thank you's for my baby shower gifts that I got from my co-workers the other day.  Woo Hoo on that one.  One less thing to worry about!  I also picked up an extra pack so that when I do get more gifts, I can just fill the card out and send it right back to the person, that way I get it done quickly and don't have to worry about it for too long!  So smart :D

I've also swept the living room and kitchen floors.  Cleaned the kitchen and dining room table.  I've already managed to do three loads of laundry and pretty much fold it all!  Putting it away is a different story... lol.  My next goal is to clean the guest/Rowan's bathroom and continue to do the laundry.  We've been pretty much out of laundry soap until today so you can imagine that I have a few piles built up... So, laundry is my main goal for this afternoon/evening.

I might move into my bedroom and try to clean that up... But because my husband wants to have some friends over tomorrow to watch the Super Bowl, I think I might want to focus my attention and energy (what is left of it) on the front part of the house... What they'll be seeing... And my bedroom isn't that.

Argh... And get this... If the Hubby decides that he wants to have some people over tomorrow, I'll be the one doing all the getting ready for them tomorrow.  See, he works tonight (430pm-230am) and then has to be up at 6am for dog training.  Dog training will last until about 130-200pm and then he'll be home after that.  So... Who will have to go to the store and pick up snacks?  Um, me.  Who will have to make sure that the house is visitor friendly?  Um, me again...

I only do it because I love him though... lol.

Well, I have seemed to ramble on enough for now... I have another load of laundry to start and then fold what is coming out of the dryer.  Whoopie.  Miss Rowan is also laying down for a nap, so I should try to get as much done as I can while she is sleeping.  Nothing like a three year old trying to help you sweep the floor or fold laundry... It can be fun, but takes a little bit longer than me just doing it myself :)  Gotta love that Princess though...

I hope you all have a wonderful Saturday... Enjoy!

::Smiles::

~Friday, February 4th~

               TeaSetwithFlowers.jpg

Well, so far, today has been a pretty non-productive day.  I haven't done anything, besides fold a load of laundry, actually start another load and then do a load of dishes.  But hey, I was up at 9am and showered by noon... Those are enough of an accomplishments in themselves... I should be proud :D

Rowan and I did get up and out of the house for a little while.  The Hubby was taking a nap before work, so I decided to get out of the house for a little bit to keep it quiet for him, and went to my parents.  They were getting ready to leave for the weekend to go to Redding for another hockey tourney for my brother... So, I thought we'd see them off.

At my parents, Rowan decided that she wanted to go ride her bike and her tricycle... Then she ended up going on a 'ride' around the block with my dad, her Grandpa-pa.  Hopefully, with all that energy blown doing that and being up since 9am, I can get her to lay down here in a few minutes... Because I can sure use a nap too!

It is just her and I once again for the evening.  I'm thinking tomato soup and grilled cheese sandwiches for dinner... One, because they are easy and two, because it actually sounds pretty yummy.  LOL.  It doesn't take a lot to please a three year old... Hell, it doesn't take a lot to please me sometimes... Haha!  So, that is the plan for us tonight.

I was planning on going to Target today.  I need some household stuff... Ya know, the stuff you need daily, like toilet paper, paper towels, and laundry soap... Basically all the stuff they charge you an arm and a leg for!!  I don't really feel like going now... I think I still have a little bit of a cold.  That or what allergies I do have, are acting up.  Foggy head and sniffly nose... No fun with that.  So, I am hoping that I can get my big pregnant butt up tomorrow and go and get some of that stuff I need.

Plus, I was hoping while I was at Target, I'd pick up some stuff that I need for the baby... Stuff that I haven't received yet as gifts, that is.  I need all the necessities... You know, like the diapers, the burping clothes, the wipes, the bottles for when I pump, the breast pads (woo hoo!!) and the diaper bag... Stuff like that!  I know I shouldn't go and buy a lot of the other stuff that I want... Like a play center and a few other baby toy/activity things, because I'm sure those are easier gifts to give then breast pads and breastmilk containers  :D  Haha.  So, maybe I'll pick some of those things up tomorrow... Who knows.  I'll play it by ear.

So, the Hubby works another 9 days before he is off on vacation... Or Family Leave as he likes to call it.  I know he can't wait... He (like other guys at the office) are being worn to the bone... No wonder half of them are sick with colds and tired beyond belief.  I just don't know what I'll do with him while he is off for 6 whole weeks!!!  Aaahhhh... It will be nice in the begining because I'll need his help and need him to drive me places, but after a few weeks, I'm worried we'll want to kill each other!  Oh well, we'll just have to see how it goes... At least I know I'll have a clean house and probably have a home made dinner most nights :D  Hehe... The wonders of having a husband that loves to cook...

Hmm, well, I'm pretty much worn out right now and have nothing really to say... lol.  Go figure... This girl is tired, so I think I'm going to go grab the kiddo and make her lay down with her Mama.

I hope you all have a wonderful Friday and a joyous weekend!!

~Last Day and The Couch, My New Best Friend~

                          moonbaby.jpg

Well, today is the day.  Today is my last day in the office at the Pickle Plant for a few good weeks!  I'm really getting excited about not having to get up at 545 in the morning and driving a good 50 mins to and from work... It will be a nice change to not have to worry about filling up on gas twice a week at $24 a pop and worring about the fog and rain...  Even Miss Rowan gets a break from waking up at 630 every morning to go to her YaYa's.

Now, she'll be able to stay home with Mommy almost every day... Something she hasn't done since she was about 4 months old.  Yep, it will definetly be a nice change...

With only 18 more days until Zachary comes... Gotta spend the most time as possible with my special girl...

So, yesterday, after I got home from the grocery store and cleaned up the house a bit, Miss Rowan and I layed on the couch and actually feel asleep!  I couldn't believe it... I was once again taking a nap after 4pm!!  Man... I guess my body is trying to tell me that I need some extra sleep, because I was asleep by 1045pm last night!

But, once again, the couch came to my rescue at 130 this morning.  I had gotten up to use the restroom (for the 2nd time!!) and was hotter than you know what... Well, by the time I came back to bed, the Hubby had practically overtaken it and then Miss Rowan was all sprawled out, so, I said, "screw it" and went to the couch!  I swear, the couch has become my new best friend.  I can get better sleep out there than in my own darn bed!  I guess with just it being me and the extra padding in the couch, I can get more comfortable... Plus, it is a whole lot cooler... lol.

When the Hubby got up this morning, he wondered why the bedroom door was open... I told him because I had gotten up and went to the couch.  Then he pulls, "Hmm, maybe that is why I slept so well last night!"... haha.  I guess me sleeping on the couch isn't such a bad thing for us both!

My friend Amy, or Auntie Amy as Rowan calls her, came over last night.  We had some yummy taco salad for dinner and then worked on some stuff for her schooling.  Unfortunetly, my computer wasn't acting right, so we weren't able to help her much... Bummer deal.  But it was nice to just have someone besides the Hubby and Rowan to talk to :)  I also made a delicious cake for dessert... heck, we had a pretty much healthy dinner, I could enjoy a yummy treat afterwards!!  Yellow cake with chocolate frosting and a cold glass of milk... Mmmm, I think I'll be going home and having some this afternoon.

Amy also brought Rowan and Zachary their valentine's gifts... Miss Rowan got a cute little cuddle-bug necklace and she just loves it!  And Mr. Zachary is such a spoiled little boy, and he isn't even here yet!  Auntie Amy brought him the cutest little pair of shoes... Brown little boot-types... I just couldn't get over them!  They are a size 2, so it will be a while before he can wear them, but she couldn't pass up on them and I'm glad she didn't... Awww, so sweet!!

I think this afternoon we are going to hang out at my parent's for a while after I get off of work.  Rowan and I haven't seen my Dad/her Grandpapa in a few days, so it will be nice to visit with him.  But, I'll have to be home in time to do some cleaning around the house and then to make sure I catch "The O.C.".  Hehe... Tonight will be really good, because Marissa and Alex (both females) are going to start their relationship and I can't wait to see Ryan stand up to Caleb... Okay, Okay... I'll stop talking about the Prime-Time Soap ;)  Hehe.

Well, I'm going to go... Gotta do a stack of payables and then take all my tags from The Tag Lounge and put them to disk to take them home!  I should be out of here by 2pm... Woo Hoo!!!

Hope you all have a wonderful Thursday...

                               ~Twelve Truths~

12. Life is sexually transmitted.

11. Good health is merely the slowest possible rate at which one can die.

10. Men have two emotions: Hungry and Horny.  If you don't see him excited, make him a sandwich!

9. Give a person a fish and you feed them for a day; teach a person to use the internet and they won't bother you for weeks.

8. Some people are like Slinkies. . . not really good for anything, but you can't help but smile when you see one tumble down the stairs.

7. Health nuts are going to feel stupid someday, lying in hospitals dying of nothing.

6. Whenever I feel blue, I start breathing.

5. All of us could take a lesson from the weather. It pays no attention to criticism.

4. Why does a slight tax increase cost you two hundred dollars and a
substantial tax cut saves you thirty cents?

3. In the 60's, people took acid to make the world weird.  Now the world is weird and people take Prozac to make it normal.

2. Politics is supposed to be the second oldest profession.  I have come to realize that it bears a very close resemblance to the first.

1. Many terrorists come to America legally and hang around on expired Visas (some for as long as 10-15 years).  At Blockbuster you're two days late with a video rental and those people are all over you.  I think we should put Blockbuster in charge.

*Thanks to my bestest friend "Auntie Amy" for passing this along to me!  I wanted to share this with you all today, because it made me laugh so much... I wanted to share the laughs with you!!  Have a great day...

~Stats??~

                                                rockingbabyboy.gif

Okay, so Vernae over at "Pieces of Me" left a comment to my last entry about putting in guesses on baby Zachary's stats...

Well, Vernae, I'll let you guess again after I tell you the stats from Miss Rowan :D

Okay, Rowan was born a week early... Induced mind you...

She was 9lbs 2oz and 19 3/4 inches long... A very healthy baby girl... Biggest in the nursery until the next day when a baby BOY was born at 9lbs 8oz.

So, Zachary will be born just about a week and a half before his scheduled due date... This is my second baby... and it is a BOY... just to remind ya... hehe...

SO, with 19 days until Zachary Justice comes, keep in mind what you want to guess... lol.

::HAVE FUN::

~Wednesday~

tulips.jpg Lovely Flowers, eh?  I just fell in love with them when I saw that they were being passed around The Tag Lounge.  So, a special Thank You to The Tag Lounge for sharing...

So, today is Wednesday.  That means that I have only one more day of work and then I'm off for a while... A while meaning a whole 12 weeks!  Sounds like a pretty good vacation huh?  But you know, it won't be all fun and games.  Sleepless nights... Crying baby... Midnight feedings... And you know, I can't wait!!!  Seriously, only 19 more days and there will be a little one... Woo Hoo.  Time flies when you are having fun...

I had my doctors appt yesterday.  Everything is looking good.  I once again only gained about 1.5-2lbs in a two week period.  My blood pressure was 124/74, much better than it had been and my temp was pretty much normal.  The doctor said that the baby sounded great and he is more than likely head down... Which doesn't really matter, because I'm having a repeat c-section, but he is down.  I go back again next Tuesday... Yep!  Weekly visits... Woo Hoo again.  And next week, I'll be able to turn in my disability papers (after paying the office $10 to fill it out!!!)... He also told me to pay attention to my body... Meaning I go actually go into labor at anytime.  Which is very scary.  I never actually went into labor with Rowan, I was put into labor.  Being induced wasn't the funnest thing... And I'm not sure if I'd know what the early signs of labor are... oooh so nerve racking!

Anywho... All is looking well.  I'm just waiting now :)

Oh yes... I had a lovely baby shower here at the office yesterday!  What a suprise that was.  I wasn't expecting it at all.  Actually, I wish I would have known about it, because I would have made my apperance just a little bit better than jeans and a thermal... haha.  Oh well.  Thats what they get for suprising me, huh?

I got some really great stuff and enjoyed some really yummy food.  I got the bathtub that I wanted filled with a bunch of goodies from my SIL.  A few blankets, sleeper outfits and a few springy/summer clothes for 6-9months... perfect for how old he'll be in the summer/fall time!  My MIL got me the monitors that I wanted, a beautiful chenelle blanket I asked for and these gorgeous burping clothes, that you wouldn't want your baby spitting up on!  LOL.  I did get another set of monitors, but thats okay, because I'll just pass them on to my mom, who will be watching the Kiddos when I go back to work and she doesn't have any.  See, it can work out with doubles sometimes :)

Another girl from my office gave me her breast-pump.  It is one of the expensive kind and she told me just to have it... Keep it... She isn't having anymore babies!  OMG!!!  That really saved me about $200 right there too!  She even had a bunch of the attachments that were never used... So, I don't have to go buy anything for that.  Whew... Lucky me.  Hand-me-downs can sure be a life saver!

Last night was a really quiet night at my house.  We put Rowan down for a late nap around 445pm and I actually fell asleep with her... Again!  I guess my body is needing more sleep than I am actually getting.  The Hubby played some video games and then went out in the spa ::Jealous about that over Here::

While the Hubby was in the spa, I saw a commercial for IHOP's pocket pancakes.  ::Hmm, pancakes::  So, I decided to make some pancakes for Rowan and I!  I cut the receipe in half and made a few for each of us.  I decided to have mine with strawberry jelly... Yum Yum.  That sure took care of a craving... lol.  I did manage to watch "Gilmore Girls" and I tried to watch "One Tree Hill", but that really didn't happen...

The Hubby and Rowan decided that they weren't going to be very quiet while I tried to watch that... lol.  But who could get mad at them... Especially with what they were doing.  I swear, I haven't seen that little girl have so much fun in a long time.  Her Daddy thought it would be a good time to play around and tickle and 'torture' her... And who can get mad at a Daddy and Daughter playing together like that?  So, "One Tree Hill" was out for me last night... Oh well.  I got more enjoyment watching them play anyway.

Tonight will more than likely be another quiet night.  The Hubby won't be home until around 6pm because they have SWAT training and I think my friend might come over, but I'm not sure.  I do know that I have to make my way to the grocery store and pick something up for dinner.  I'm thinking Taco Salad??  Sounds good to me... Don't know if it will fly with the Hubby, who is more a meat and potato kind of guy... But oh well.  I'm cooking tonight... He isn't.  Hehe.

Well, I must run.  I have some stuff to get done that isn't getting done with me doing this... hehe...

Have a great Wednesday...
