Kiddie Update

Okay, so I had my entry almost finished.  Was just hitting the save button and um, yeah, I heard "GOODBYE"... Ugh, tick me off!

I was doing an update on the kiddies... yes kiddies.

We had our appt yesterday afternoon.  It went really well.  Both the hubby and the munskin went with me!  I've lost another 1.5lbs... Doctor tells me not to worry.  Something about women with extra weight tend to loose weight in the beginning.  So, that means that I have lost somewhere around 7 or 8lbs.  Oh well, I'm not going to worry if the doctor isn't going to worry.  Plus, with my nasty morning sickness and me working out at least 2 times a week... Its okay that I'm loosing some weight.

Also, my blood pressure was lower than the last few times that I have gone.  I guess the last few times I was pretty nervous... with my blood pressure around 135/80 when my regular blood pressure is somewhere around 120/60.  So, it was nice to see my blood pressure 122/72 yesterday.

We got to hear the heartbeat yesterday too.  Princess Rowan was pretty excited.  We don't know if she truly understands... but I know she knows we were there to see the doctor for the baby.  How cute!  It was such a relief to hear the heart beat too!  Now all my worries (ok, most of them) are out the window!

I'm off today.  Rowan didn't have a babysitter... So, I'm home with her today.  It is really nice.  She has been wanting me to stay home... So, she is glad.  We are watching "The Wizard of Oz" for the second time today.

Last night, we watched most of it... So, we finished if off this morning.  And when it ended, she wanted more "Rainbow".  She calls it "Rainbow" because of the song "Somewhere Over the Rainbow" in the beginning of the movie.  It is too cute.  So, instead of watching the new Mickey Mouse movie we got her yesterday.... She is watching "Rainbow" again!

Silly Kid...

Well, I've got plenty of things to do around the house today... Plus, I've rambled on and on...  I hope all have a great day!  TTFN

Wow.... Where has the time gone?

So, its been a few days since my last entry.  It seems like Thursday was such a long time ago... When it is only 5 days behind us.  I guess I've been so busy at home, with the kid and the hubby that I haven't had a chance to myself to sit down and get an entry in.

This weekend has been kinda busy and lazy all at the same time... Weird how that can be... But it is true.

Friday was just a hectic day as any.  Rowan and I took our Lola-Dog to the vet (nothing serious, just shots) at 1015am.  Then, after wrestling around with a very excited/nervous 70lb rott and a bored 30lb kid... I managed to make my way home.  For just a little bit that is.  Then it was off to pick up my friend Nicole and head off to the newly opened Costco in a neighboring town.

The new Costco is just about 10mins from my house compared to the 35min drive to the 'older' one. Mind you, the older one is a whole 3 or 4 years old... but I'm so glad that there is a Costco closer to us...

This new Costco is really nice too.  Nice and bright... Clean... and wasn't too crowded.  So, I picked up what I wanted... Not anything I needed.  The hubby had requested a Steak and Lobter dinner (yes, he is spoiled).  So I got those.  Then I picked up some hot wings.. A Yummy Yummy snack... and picked up the movie "Ella Encanted".  What a cute movie!  There were some other things that I grabbed but hey, I'm not going to ramble on anymore.

The hubby did come home this weekend!  Thats basically why our weekend was so nice and so lazy.  After being away at school for 2 weeks, the hubby didn't really want to do much... and that was perfectly okay with me!

So, our weekend was basically spent hanging out together as a family and cooking.  I swear, we must have cooked 5 times in the matter of 3 days!  Lol.  But hey, we spent some good time together... That is all that matters.

Anywho... Enough on the weekend.

Today I have another doctors appt.  I'm leaving work a little early to go pick up the hubby and Rowan so they can go with me.  If all goes well, we'll be able to hear the heat beat today... Very exciting.  I just hope that I haven't gained too much weight... I don't think I have... but it eventually happens...

After our doctors appt, I told Rowan that we'd head to Target to pick up the new Mickey movie... The 3 Musketeers.  She has it at her YaYa's but has been asking for it at our house... So, I guess that is something we'll have to get.  I'm also thinking about getting a Jamba Juice.  I had one on Friday and have been wanting one again ever since.

We are supposed to go to the In-laws for dinner tonight.  We are having Tri-tip and roast chicken.  Yum Yum.

Well, I think I've truly rambled on long enough.  I've got plenty to do today.  Payroll must be done today because I won't be here tomorrow and then I have a stack of invoices to enter... whoopie.

Oh, Rowan did get her mirror from Nadine.  I've been meaning to take a few pictures of her with it... But our home computer is acting up.  So, I'll have to work on it before I can post some pics.

Have a great week all... TTFN

Are Alerts Down or Is it Just Me?

Okay, so again it seems that AOL Alerts aren't up and running... well, at least for me!  I didn't have any emails in my Inbox for any new journal entries.  So, again, I checked my favorite journals, and sure enough, there were a few new journal entries.  Weird huh?  Oh well.

Yesterday's workout didn't happen.  ::Bummer::  My friend got a new job and she can't leave until 430pm.  So, that means we wouldn't be able to work out until at least 445pm.  We would have worked out... But my mommy had to go and get her car from the dealership by a certain time and the workout wasn't going to be able to happen.  Oh well... Maybe tomorrow... Definetly not today.

So, instead of working out... Miss Rowan and I went over to my SIL's house (her husband is away at school too... a whole 15mins away from my hubby) for dinner.  We got some pizza and salads and just hung out.  Rowan and her girls played... and played... and played... Mind you, they are 9 and 11!  Lol.  I guess it doesn't matter to them that their cousin is 2.5 ;)

Rowan and I were very tired when we got home.  We were both asleep by 10pm!  And then I didn't even roll out of bed until 6am!  Oh, I'm such a slacker.  But anywho, I've definetly gotta get my butt going on some things today.  Hope all have a fabulous Thursday!

Are Doritos a good breakfast??

So what.  This morning I had a mini-snack-size bag of Doritos for breakfast.  Ya Ya Ya.  Probably not the breakfast of champions... But hey, what are you going to do when a craving for nothing but chips kicks in at, oh, 830am?  You are going to have that bag of Doritos, that is what you are going to do! ;)

So I did...

But I'll be making it up at lunch with a salad from Jack n the Crack.  Oops.  I mean, Box.  He he.  I am silly today :)  Their salads are okay.  I'd rather be having one from The Fruit Yard... They have the best selections at their salad bar!!  Yum Yum.  But I guess I'll just have to live with the Southwestren Chicken one from JNB.

Today has been a better day than yesterday so far.  I did spend some time with my head in the toilet this morning... But hey, at least there wasn't any traffic on the way in to work.  Plus, I slept sooo well last night!  I don't even think I moved a muscle (well, you know what I mean).

Its another work out day today.  ::woo hoo::  Gotta keep on working on not putting on the pounds... But with Doritos for breakfast, I think I'm burning the idea at both ends... LOL.  But hey, at least I'm putting a foot foward and trying :)

I don't think I'll be going to visit the hubby this evening.  Rowan misses him so much, but it just doesn't seem worth the time.  Sounds bad... But its an hour and a half there... in traffic (ugh)... just to have dinner and then go to bed.  Yes, it would be very nice to see the hubby... But hey, I'll be seeing him Friday afternoon.  So, ugh, who knows.  Maybe I'll change my mind... You never know.

Well, I've rambled enough about nothing.  Gotta go and match some checks up to some invoices.  Hope all have a great day.  TTFN

Its Only Tuesday You Say?

So its only Tuesday huh?  Well, I guess I could be a little bit more out of the loop then.

This morning started off pretty crappy too.  Maybe that is why I was hoping that it was a little later in the week than Tuesday!  So, I woke up this morning and pretty much spent the next ten minutes with my head in the toliet!  Yeah, um, so when is this morning sickness stuff going to be over???  I know... I know... Only a few more weeks and then it should be over.  ::sigh::

Then, after we (Robo and I) got cleaned up this morning, I found her lying in my bed, nakie.  She hadn't put on her undies or clothes that I put out for her.  When I asked her why she wasn't dressed, she promptly told me she was sick.  "Belly Hurt Mama"... "Headache"... "Me no YaYa's"... She didn't want to get dressed because she didn't want to leave and go to her YaYa's.  She has been telling me that she doesn't want me to go to work lately too...

I think because her daddy is gone... She doesn't want me to leave her either.  It is sad... But once she is at her YaYa's, she is fine.  And yes, we did make it to her YaYa's... And she was dressed.  But tell me, how come a 2 1/2 year old knows the "sick/doesn't go anywhere" trick already???

Then the commute this morning really blew.  It usually takes me 45 minutes to get to work.  I leave my mom's house around 710am and then get to work by 755am if not a few minutes sooner.  But today, I did leave my mom's a little late (720am) and got to work at 835am!  The traffic was horrible.  Supposedly there was an accident... But we never did see one... Weird how that is.

Well, now that I have vented, I am going to go finish payroll and get my 'daily chores' done.  TTFN all.

What a Weekend!

Well, this weekend came and went in a flash!  It was definetly a great weekend... Not complaining at all.  I just wish that it had lasted a little bit longer!

The hubby came home on Friday evening around 630pm.  The Princess was so happy to see him!  She ran around the house all smiles and gave big hugs!  Not having seen him in 6 days, you can imagine how excited she was to see him... It was just too cute!

So, that evening we enjoyed a very yummy dinner and just some well deserved time together.  Oh, and of course he had to play with the new toy that he got delivered.  The mystery delivery was a T-Mobile Sidekick!  Um, okay... Yeah, I don't really know why he got one... Something to do with being able to get on the internet and checking his Fantasy Football Scores and talking to me via AIM while he is in school. Boys :)

Saturday was a very busy day.  The hubby got up early and went and got donuts for him and Rowan and breakfast sandwiches for me from McDonalds (bad girl, bad).  The our nieces were dropped off around 915am so that their mom and dad (dad is my hubby's bro) could go to a Giants game with their Nana and Papa (my in-laws).

So, we watched the girls all day.  We went to lunch at a place called The Fruit Yard and had some yummy grub.  The hubby wanted Mexican, but he always wants Mexican, so I convinced him to take us to The Fruit Yard.  I had a yummy salad from their salad bar (one of the best around) and a Club sandwich.  Of course my nieces ate GREAT!  They might be picky... But when they get something they want and like, they eat it right up!  And of course Rowan didn't want to eat at all... She picked at the olives on our salads and then had some crackers.  But when it came time to eat her Grilled Cheese sandwich and fries... All she wanted was the fries and dippy-dip (ketchup)!  She is too funny!

Saturday was pretty much occupied watching the girls.  They swam and played with the Princess.  We also had dinner and then later in the evening the Hubby played Monopoly with the girls and I read "The Da Vinci Code"... Um yeah, I started the book this weekend and finished it this weekend too!  It was soooo good.  I couldn't put it down!!  Anywho... The girls finally left at 1015pm!  Boy, was I tired!

Sunday was such a lazy day... I slept in until 9am and then when I woke up, the hubby went back to bed!  Lol.  See, it was a lazy day!  I spent most of the day doing laundry for the hubby and reading... and reading... and reading....

The honey left again last night... Hmm, bummer... He was out of the house by 415pm and was settled into his hotel room by 615!  He hates to be away, but he likes the living in the hotel thing.  Especially when you can have dinner delivered from Chevy's!  Lol.  He'll be home again Friday evening.  I'm thinking about taking the Princess up there Wednesday evening and hanging out in the hotel room!  I don't know though... We would be on our own on Thursday while the hubby would be at school.  Hmm, decisions, decisions.

Anywho... Enough of my rambling.  I suppose I should actually get to work.  I have plenty to do... Payroll and invoices to enter... Definetly will keep my fingers busy today!  Hope all have a great week!

Its Friday!!

Today is Friday... That could mean a few things!  First, of course, today is my day off.  ::woo hoo::  Then, I got to sleep in (if sleeping in until 8am counts)  ::woo hoo:: And the big part of it being Friday is that the Daddy/Hubby is coming home tonight!

::WOO HOO::

I've got a bunch of things to do today to before his arrival this evening.  I've gotta sweep (since we've had these floors, we do it every other day), gotta wash our sheets, gotta do laundry, gotta go grocery shopping and then gotta start making dinner.  Wow... There were a lot of 'gotta's in that runon sentence!

I'm also waiting for a package that is coming for the Hubby via Fedex.  And you know you gotta sign for it!  Ugh.  That puts a damper in todays activities too.  My mom and I are supposed to try to make it to the movies... But I don't know if that will happen or not.  The Hubby would be very upset if he didn't get to play with what ever he is having coming (yes, it is a big secret to me).

Rowan is watching "JoJo's Circus" in the front room... That is who she'll be for Halloween too.  I guess Wiggles have gone from number one in her book to number two.  LOL... A two year old and her favorite things!

I went and worked out yesterday afternoon... Even with my leg not feeling all that great (darn cat).  But you gotta do what you gotta do to keep the weight from pouring on to you!  We didn't go to Rowan's gym class last night though.  Auntie Amy called and wanted to know if we'd come to her house for pizza and a ride on the quad.

So, I asked Ro what she wanted to do... Gym or Amy's?... And of course it was Amy's.  Rowan had a blast too!  Her Auntie took her on the quad and all Rowan could do was tell her to go "Faster, Faster"!!  It was too cute!  I love riding on quads, but I didn't this time... Gotta watch out for the baby bean in the belly!

Oh well, I know this is a short entry, but I've gotta get started on my day!  I hope all have a wonderful Friday and a great weekend!  TTFN

When Kitties Attack!!!

Good day, all.  I hope you all are having a wonderful day and week.  Today is my last day at work... Time to head into the weekend!  ::woo hoo::  The hubby comes home tomorrow evening and he requested a yummy-ful dinner.  I was thinking he'd pull steaks and lobster out of the air... But he wants Pork Chops in the Mushroom Gravy sauce with rice and bread.  Good ol boy... Loves them carbs... But who can blame him??  So, I guess I'll be heading to the grocery store tomorrow afternoon to get the goodies!  Maybe I'll even make a dessert... Chocolate Strawberries like Lisa made sounds yummy!

Yesterday, my friend Nicole and I decided to skip excersising and go shopping for some stuff for her Bridal Shower that I'm throwing next month.  We were thinking about hitting up a party store called Grand Events... But I decided on my way to her house that going all the way back uptown and deal with the freeway traffic would be crazy!  So, we hit the local Hell-Mart... excuse me, Walmart.  (Walmarts here aren't the same as they are everywhere else... Ours is extrememly gross and filled with icky people!!)

So, at Walmart, we grabbed up some vases and ribbon and tule.  I got plenty of stuff for $16.  I'd have to say that Walmart that has some okay stuff for pretty cheap, but I wish they'd clean up the place.  Oh well.

Did you guys know that when kitties get scared, they attack??  Well, they do!  And last night, I experienced it!  Let me tell you.

I went to the back door last night to check on the dogs.  Since the hubby is gone, I am the one to care for his doggie.  Well, I had Tango (the hubby's dog) and Lola out in the back yard playing together.  Well, if Tango falls in the pool, he freaks and basically will drown... He can swim, but usually in circles.  So anyways, I went to the back door and opened it to check on the dogs.  Well, when I opened the door, Tango ran into the house... Something he isn't supposed to do!!!  Well, Tango doesn't get along with cats well and he spotted our kitty Badge!  So, he runs over there and starts to try to 'eat' Badge!!!!  Well, as I'm getting in the middle of them, trying to pull Tango away, Badge (who is fighting off Tango, with claws) decides to 'climb' up my leg!!! (Badge escapes unharmed)

OWWWIEE!!!!!!

I finally get Tango outside and as I'm closing the door, I look at my leg and I have two big cuts on them... No, not scratches, cuts.  Being the emotional  reck that I have been lately, I burst into tears, go into the kitchen, grab some paper towels and sit on the floor, crying, hysterically!  Mind you, Rowan has been watching this the whole time and when I burst into hysterical crying, she gets scared and starts crying.

Still in hysterics, I call my mom, who on the other end of the phone doesn't understand what was going on... I manage to blubber it out and I catch that she is coming over.  Rowan ends up talking to her YaYa and tries desparetly, in her 2 year old vocabulary, to retell the story to her.  It was too cute.

So, okay.  To make an already long story a little bit shorter, my mom comes over ::Thank You Mommy:: and takes care of my leg.  Cleans me up and heads on her way.  Such a wonderful lady she is... Takes care of me, even when I don't live at home anymore!  Lol.

Anywho... I'm fine.  I got some cuts/scratches what ever you want to call them.  I still like the cat and the dog, just gotta make sure they are never together again ;)

I've gotta get working and post some deposits and enter some invoices... woo hoo for me.  I hope today is a better day for me... and for you all... TTFN

P.S. I will be 12 weeks along tomorrow... Woo Hoo... Finally hitting the 3 month mark... Only 27 more weeks!

Weird...

This morning when I went and signed on, I was a little suprised to see that I had only 6 emails in my inbox.  Not thinking much of it, maybe no one posted a new entry... But then I started to notice something weird was going on.  I had MY buddy list and MY favorites... But....

All the emails in my inbox were for me, thats not the weird part.  I just happened to go and check Lisa's journal to see if maybe something was going on with my alerts and noticed that she posted a new entry.  "Weird" I thought.  "I didn't get an alert email".  So, I go and check "My Alerts" and notice that not one single journal I visit is there!  As a matter of fact, all the alerts are for baseball teams and scores!

"What the heck is going on here?" I thought.  So, I go to my journal and see that I have a few new comments left... Again, no alert email.  Plus, I can't make any changes to my journal, no little tab to edit or to alert me when comments are made!  "WEIRD" popped into my head again.  Off to AOL Hometown.  When I got there, I got a big suprise.  Neither of my webpage or my journal were there.  Plus, instead of saying Welcome, Perkysgrl it said Welcome, Miland  (who the heck is that??).

So, I signed off as quickly as possible.  Realizing that something was terribly wrong.  How can I be Perkysgrl one minute and have all my buddy lists, mail and what not, but be recongnized as Miland??? Again, what is going on here.  So, I crossed my fingers and signed back on... Hoping all will be okay.  I made sure that it said Perkysgrl when I signed on and used my new password (I changed it just in case).  ::woo:: When I signed on, it said Welcome, Perkysgrl and I went straight to my journal.

Obviously, I was able to get onto my screen name with no problems.  Everything is mine... I'm able to access everything.  Luckily, something weird happened (and now Miland will get all my alerts for all of my fav journals).. and now its all better... LOL.  I did have to enter some new alerts and what not... But oh well... As long as I'm Perkysgrl thats all that matters!!

Well, anyways, enough of that woo haa about my weird morning.

Dinner went really well last night with my mom and Rowan.  My best friend Amy even joined us for dinner.  ::thanks for dinner Mom::  Miss Rowan was a very spirited girl... I'll leave it at that! :)  I had a grilled chicken breast salad with green sauce for dressing... It is sooo yummy!  Not very mexican-ish... But good enough!

We didn't hear too much from the hubby/daddy.  He has made some friends and is enjoying their company (ie hitting the hotel bar :)... I guess school isn't as boring as he thought it was going to be!  I guess I'll have to wait until his lunch break to hear from him....

Well, I've got plenty of stuff to do today.  Guess I gotta get going... Plus, we have a visitor from Burger King!  Oh no... Craziness again.  Hope all have a great day... TTFN

Follow the Pepper Lined Road... Follow Follow Follow the Pepper Lined Road

This morning I stopped at Starbucks to get a coffee for myself.  While I'm in line, I decided to call my MIL and ask her if she would like a coffee.  Today is her birthday so I told her to splurge!  While I'm talking to her, she asked me if I had seen the TVT (trans valley trucking) on the freeway, dropping jalapeno peppers?  I said no, but because she was behind me (on the drive in) I wasn't suprised.  Well, she said that she passed by it and noticed that it was dropping jalapenos by the 50's at a time!  We just laughed... Because we knew that Sam (our buyer) would be pretty upset.

Well, as I'm leaving the Starbucks and pulling onto the main road headed to my job, I notice green and red specks all over the place.  I seriously felt like I was following the 'yellow brick road' except that it was green and red peppers that were leading me all the way to work... Needless to say, that is why that I decided to use the "Oz" type theme for my journal entry :)

Nadine informed me today that she is shipping Princess Rowan's mirror!  ::woo hoo::  I can't wait to see it!  I will definetly have to post some pictures of it on here once we do get it!  She said it will be getting to us around Friday or Saturday.  I'm excited!  I can't wait to see Rowan's expression when she gets it too!  When I showed her the picture that Nadine sent, her eyes got big and she said "PRETTY".  It was too cute!

My mom, Rowan and I are going out to an early dinner tonight... (oh no Lisa... FOOD) We are going to La Morenita's... A local Mexican resturant.  I haven't been up for too much Mexican, but when Mom mentioned mexican for dinner... I jumped on the chance ;)  Sound yummy!  Thanks for the idea Mom!!

Well, I guess I better go finish payroll and start my other work.  I hope all have a great day!  TTFN....

"Just another Manic Monday"...

Like the title of my entry today?  I heard that song on the way home from work and I thought it would be a perfect title for an entry.  Believe me, my day hasn't been bad, but since I haven't gotten the song out of my head... I thought I'd use it.

Rowan and I were a little late about getting out of bed this morning.  I'm usually up around 545am... But today, I slept in until 610am.  ::woo hoo::  But you know, those extra 20 minutes or so a day sure seem to help.  Good thing was that I wasn't late in dropping Rowan off or late to work... Hmm, could I pull off getting up later everyday??  Nah, only the days when I don't do my hair I guess.  Oh well.  It will be back to 545 tomorrow morning.  ::blah::

The Princess and I just finished an early dinner.  I only ate once today so by the time I was done working out and picking her up, I was starving.  We had a very classy meal this evening... Very oakie if you ask me.  Macaroni and cheese with hot dogs.  No, the mac & cheese wasn't on the side... We mix them all together!  Yum Yum.  There is just something about that meal that brings me back to my childhood.  Ah, the memories! Lol.

Tonight is definetly a bath night.  My back is killing me.  It almost always does after I go work out.  I don't understand though.  I don't do any real back work outs or really stress it (that I know of)... I guess I'll just have to pay attention more.  Don't want to go and hurt myself or the baby...

I'm in my 11th week now.  ::woo hoo::  I've almost hit the 3 month mark!  It seems like just yesterday we were looking at the preg test... Counting the pink lines :)  But I'm at the point where someone could look at me and say, "Is she fat or could she be pregnant?"  How nice is that?  I can't fit into too many of my normal sized clothes (thank goodness I didn't throw away my 'fat' jeans) and most maternity stuff is a little too big.  Ugh.  I'm definetly at the weird stage.  Oh well though... It is really all for a good cause!  Now, only 28 more weeks... LOL.

I talked to the hubby today.  Seems like he enjoyed the first day of his school.  Thats good I suppose.  Better than him being bored out of his mind.  When I talked to him, he was off to the bar to meet some guys for Happy Hour.  How nice is that??  He is off having fun, while his pregnant wife is at home taking care of his daughter and house ... Lol.  I don't care.  He deserves all the fun he can get... As long as he is coming home to me... :)

Anywho.  Better go check on the munskin.  She is asking for the new Wiggles movie that I got her the other day at Target.  She just loves them!  Hope all have a great evening... TTFN

OH Hum... The honey is gone!

Today is a blue day... The honey is gone for the next 6 days.  He is attending a school in Rancho Cordova.  Actually, his school is for 2 weeks, but thankfully we only live about 1hr 45mins from there, so he can come home on the weekends.  So, he made it saftely up to school this evening and won't be home until Friday evening.

(for you bad guys out there... don't go getting any crazy ideas... I have a gun and a K-9 and I know how to use both!!!)

SO, it will be a few boring and lonely days until the Daddy returns home to us.  Poor Missy Rowan is already asking for him... I guess talking to him on the phone will just have to do for the next couple of days!

Today was a pretty nice day. The Princess and I slept in until 1015 this morning!  Woo Hoo for us.  It has been a while since she actually would sleep in that late with me.  Usually, her Daddy is the only one that can get her to sleep past 9am... So I guess today was a lucky day!

This afternoon, we went to a local Italian eatery to celebraten my mother-in-laws birthday.  (Yes Lisa, I'm talking about food again...lol)  The food was great, (I got Baked Ziti) but unfortunetly, I ate too many pieces of bread and calamari rings to fully enjoy it!  Oh well, I guess that is what I'll be having for lunch tomorrow at work! YumYum.

Then after cake at the In-laws, I went to my parents to visit my brother and his girlfriend.  My parents made a favorite of mine... Egg rolls and won-tons.  Soo good too.  So, I had a little of each.  Hehe.  And brought plenty of them home! Hehe again. (yes, more food Lisa...lol)

But both Rowan and I are pretty tired today... Even with all the sleep that we had today.   I guess it was just one of those days.  Ya know?

Well, I hope all had a wonderful weekend and hope all have a great week!  TTFN

Oh La-De-Da....

Well, it has been a couple of days since my last entry.  Our work lost all ability to use phones (no calls going in or out) and Internet access... Due to our T-1 line being down.  So, we were with out phones and Internet from Wednesday afternoon until late Thursday evening... Can you imagine how boring a place can be when nothing is going through... No calls.  No ability to check email or play on line?  Man, was I having AOL withdrawls!!

Okay, I'm going to try to do a quick update... Don't kill me if it takes forever though.

Wednesday Rowan spent the day at her Nana's.  Her cousin who is off of school right now was also there.  So, the hubby took her over there in the morning to have breakfast while he went to do some shopping for clothes... He will be leaving for a school in the next few days and needed some extra shoes and a belt...

Anywho... So, Rowan ended up spending the whole day there at her Nana's.  She really enjoyed herself too.  Homemade breakfast, lunch at McDonald's, and swimming... What more could a 2 year old ask for?  Plus, she got to spend time with her cousins and Nana and Papa.

She was sure tuckered out when she got home though... A good tuckered out!  She tried to tell me the whole story about being over there.  What they had for lunch and the swimming.  Even taking a shower outside... Yes, they have a shower out by the pool, with hot and cold water!  Fun Fun.

Thursday was pretty quiet.  Work was boring (how could it not be with out phones) and I left a little early.  Hey, with nothing to do...

Rowan did have gym though.  That was fun.  It is amazing to see how strong she is!  Some of the other parents can't believe their eyes.  I mean, this little girl can almost pull herself up enough to do a 'skin-the-cat' on rings!  It is crazy... I can't wait to see what she'll be doing in later years... That is if she likes gymnastics in a few years.  We definetly don't want to push her to do something she doesn't want to.

The hubby made a wonderful dinner on Thursday.  I love it when he is home.  I just wished I had felt better, because I would have woofed more of it down.  The hubby made a pot roast in onion soup, with mashed potatos and corn... It was yummy.  I just wished I ate more.  But I guess we'll be able to fill up on it tonight... Looks like there are plenty of leftovers :)

So, today if Friday.  I think I've pretty much caught up on other journals.  And with mine.  The Robonator woke me up early this morning (honey had dog training) and we basically laid around for a while.  Then I got ready to go out.  My lovely father took me to lunch today!  How awesome is that??  Just me and my Daddy!

We went to AppleBee's...  Yumm Yumm.  They have a really great low-cal menu (Weight Watchers) and I tried one of their Mesquite Chicken Salads.  It was okay.  I just haven't been up to eating lately... Bummer... Because I love food!

Okay, well, I better go heat up dinner.  Rowan seems hungry and suprisingly, I have a tid-bit of hunger in my belly too.  Hope all have a great weekend... TTFN.

Ugh! My Nose is On Fire!!

(Okay, okay... this will be my third attempt at this entry... If I don't succeed at it this time... I'm going to quit!)

So, we all survived the McDonald's visit yesterday.  It looks promising... But you never know with such a large corporation... With us being so little (we really aren't that little but compared to others we are) it could go either way.  I guess it is up to the sales department and the owners to do more smoozing...

But today is a different story!  We are all suffering from burning eyes, noses and throats.  See, not only do we produce pickles in our plant, we run jalapeno and greek peppers too.  And can anyone guess what we are running that is making us feel soo icky today?  If you've guessed Jalapenos you win the prize of the day!  So, we have to try to accomplish our daily tasks while having to suffer from all of the above aliments!  Woo Hoo for us... ::sigh::

Anywho... Enough about the stinky (literally) jalapenos!!

Yesterday was a pretty quiet day!  I was supposed to go work out at Curves before going and picking up the Princess... But because my friend Nicole (whom I work out with) had some timing issues, that plan fizzeled like a coke left out all day.  So, no work out for Jennifer yesterday!  I'm hoping that I can get out of my funky mood (darn morning sickness! but I guess its worth it) before this afternoon so I can have some energy to work out... We'll see!

So, instead of working out, I picked up the Princess from my Mom and Dad's a little early and headed home.  Mind you, the whole time on the way home, Rowan was asking for her Dada and asking if he would be at home!  Unfortunetly, I had to give her the bad news that he wouldn't be home... She was bummed, I could tell.  But!! She did talk to him on the phone and told him all about dinner (tacos), so I think that brightened her day up!

At home we did some cleaning... Okay, okay, so I did the cleaning and she did the playing!  So, I cleaned the kitchen and did some much needed laundry... Mostly towels.  For some reason, we go through towels like toilet paper!  And there is only 3 of us in the house... lol.

Rowan had a little bit of a problem yesterday evening... She kept spilling her drinks!  One time she spilt a cup of chocolate milk and the other time was a glass of water!  We've been trying her with 'big girl' cups (no tops. small, plastic glasses) because she seems to like them better than the sippy cups... But she was just being really clumsy yesterday :)  At least we have hardwood floors now... It sure makes the clean up a whole lot easier!  Lol.

Well, I can't think of anything else that is really worth wild of putting in my entry right now :)  Oh, Rowan is going to her Nana's for breakfast this morning!  She'll surely like that!  I hope everyone has a great day... TTFN

(I made it all the way through the entry with out anything going wrong... woo hoo)

I thought this was a Pickle Factory... Not a Funny Farm!

Okay, Okay... Last time I checked, I worked at a Pickle Factory, right?  Well, today I feel like I work at a looney farm... Full of crazy people!

We have an important person coming from McDonald's today... And everyone is running around like chicken with their head cut off!  We've been getting ready for this 'inspection' (see, its not a real inspection, we are hoping to get business out of this meeting) for about 2 weeks now.  We've seriously had 2 shifts running Monday-Sunday for the last 2 weeks now... Can you imagine the OT that we have in the payroll... OMG!  I swear, some people are walking away with around 24hrs of OT for one week!  This isn't a police department or something... Its a pickle factory!  Where do you find things to have 24 hours of OT??

So, yes, I'm trying to keep sane today.  For right now, I'm the only one in the office... Please don't ask me why.  Our office hours are from 8am-4pm and it is now 830am and I'm still all alone! Hmm.... Where is everyone else??  Oh well, it isn't the first time that I'm by myself and surley won't be the last!

Oh, update! Someone finally did come in!  Woo Hoo...

Anywho... Off this pickle factory crap! Lol...

Last night, I made such a yummy dinner.  I truly got the idea for the dinner from my preggo friend in Washington.  She had been complaining that she was hungry, but nothing sounded good to her.  Then she mentioned that she had been on a Stuffing Fix and when she said that, I just about started drewling from the mouth!  So, can you guess what the Missy Rowan and I had for dinner?  We had a baked chicken, stuffing and zucinni!  Triple Yum's!  We even took Daddy some dinner for him at work!  He definetly appreciated that... I think he gets tired of the icky fast food sometimes!

Princess Rowan wasn't such a Princess last night!  She was throwing the biggest fits and being the biggest brat... I guess she is coming into the "Terrible Two's"... Oh well, I suppose all parents go through it right?  Even with her Auntie Amy there, Rowan was very hard to handle... She is usually so preoccupied with Amy that she doesn't care about anything else... Well, last night was different.  We had to beg her to eat her dinner and then beg her not to run down the street when someone came to the door to invite me to Bunco!  Oh... By 930pm I was whoopped!

Well, I have to go and finish payroll and make sure no one else is having a big-fat-cow this morning... Then it is off to enter a huge stack of invoices... Woopie for me!

Hope all have a great day... TTFN

What Is In A Name....

I've had a few comments about Rowan's name lately... So, I thought I'd share how I came up with it!

When I was a junior in high school my mom read a book by Anne Rice, "The Witching Hour" and then passed it on to me!  The main character of the book is named Rowan (who just happens to be a witch).  I found her to be very strong willed and indepenedent, plus, I just loved the name.

I eventually found out that Rowan is an Irish name meaning "red haired" or a "red bush, rowan tree, rowanberry".  Even though Rowan is considered to be more of a masculine than feminine name, I fell in love with it!

So, I decided way back when, before my daughter was even a glimmer in my eye, that if I ever did have a daughter, I would surely name her Rowan.

Low and behold, only about 3 years down the road, I became pregnant and found out later in the pregnancy that I was going to have a daughter... I basically told my hubby that he didn't have a say in the name (which now I regret because he is dead set on naming this next baby)...

And in January of 2002, I gave birth to Rowan Catherine Lynn.  Could the name sound anymore Irish to anyone else?  Plus, it sounds so regal... I think that is why we call her "Princess" most of the time! Lol.

Catherine is after my great-grandmother Catherine and my hubby's mom... Who is named Cathy.  Lynn is both my mom's middle name and my middle name... So Rowan would definetly have to have that name too!

She has definetly come into the independent and strong willed name that I chose for her too... I couldn't ask for more!

Well, I have plenty to do this morning.  Got payroll and checks to send out to our vendors... Woo Hoo. Get to spend money that isn't mine!

TTFN and I hope all have a wonderful week!

The Perfect California Girl!

And here ya go folks... The perfect California Girl catching some rays...

                   DSCN0455.jpg

Rowan and her daddy went swimming today... Actually, Rowan, her Daddy and both doggies went swimming!  Yes, can you imagine that... Sometimes I think the pool was built more for my husband to play with the dogs in! Lol.  Oh well... here is Tango.  He was sure whopped after playing, so he decided to take a rest!

Can anyone say, "What a smart dog?"... Lol.  What a sweet heart though!!

Here are some more of Miss Rowan... She sure likes to have her picture taken!  Even says, "Cheese" right at the right time!  Her glasses are a tid-bit too big for her.  They are actually Daddy's... But she had to have something to keep the sun out??

Other than swimming, we haven't done much today!  We did go out to breakfast as I was hoping to!  Hmm, it was yummy.  It had been a while since I had a good breakfast... you know, the scrambled eggs, hashbrowns and bacon... Ohohoh.  Yummy!

After our breakfast was swimming time.  Then after that was nap time... So, I've basically been the worst wife/mother possible today and haven't accomplished anything ;) Hmm, oh well... There is always tomorrow!

Well, I'm going to go finish watching "Hocus Pocus" with Rowan.  She has never seen it before... mind you, it is one of my absolute favs!  I'll leave you with this picture of Rowan... Her uncle Boo taught her this... Hope all had a wonderful weekend and go on to have a great week!... TTFN

A Weekend at Home and at Mommy's... lol

Well, this weekend is almost over.  One more day and it will be time to start a new week all over again...

This weekend the hubby, Rowan and I didn't do all that much.  My brother and his girlfriend were down from school (they both attend UC Davis) so my mom made a wonderful dinner for all of us on Friday night.  Unfortunetly, since I'm preggo, my sense of smell and taste were off and what I'd normally love to eat (fresh grilled salmon, potatoes and salad...) made me sick to my stomach.  Yeah, so I was pretty bummed out about that.

Then when we got home Rowan and Daddy cleaned his patrol car... Okay, so Daddy cleaned his car and Rowan just played inside of it! It was such a nice night... It definetly wasn't a normal August evening in the Central Valley!  So, we were out side, enjoying the weather until about 930pm!  Woo Hoo... But unfortunetly, it is hotter than heck outside... And sticky!

Today, we were woken up at 7am to the hubby's work calling him... So, I had to make myself go back to sleep (hehe) for another hour and a half... And then it was time to get up and get ready for the pictures.  See, all 4 granddaughters (from 3 brothers) took pictures for their Nana today... For her birthday... Unfortunetly, her birthday is Aug 17th and the pics won't be done until Aug 26nd. Bummer!!  Darn JC Penny's! :)

So, after the pictures, Rowan and I ran around the mall... I had to drop my wedding ring off at the jewelers to be fixed... then I had to go pick up some cigars for the honey.  That is his new thing... Cigars... I guess it could be worse (hmm?)...

Well, after the aventure at the mall... Never EVER go to the mall on a Saturday! Gotta remember that! We went over to the YaYa's so the Missy Rowan could go swimming with her Uncle Boo!  Well, we got there at like 1pm and we didn't leave until 745pm!  I guess we spent the whole weekend at my Mommy's... gotta love being 'home'.

Tomorrow will be another day though... Gotta clean the house and spend some time with the hubby before he goes to work.  Maybe a breakfast at B&J's a local place would be in the picture... Hmm, gotta work on that ;)

Oh Oh! I've purchased (well, haven't paid, but sending it off Monday) a mirror from Nadine!  It is for the Princess' bedroom!  It is sooo pretty.  I will defiently have to post a picture of it as soon as I get it!  Thanks a bunch Nadine!

Well, speaking of the Princess, she is very tired and I guess I should go put her in the bath and get her ready for bed!  Hope all have a great rest of the weekend... TTFN

Weekend Assignment #18

Weekend Assignment #18: You have to get a tattoo. Explain what image you would choose and why -- and where you would put it.

Alternate Assignment: If you already have a tattoo, tell us what it is and why you got it.

Extra Credit: Show us a representation of your would-be tattoo (any picture will do, not necessarily of a tattoo) or a picture of the tattoo you already have. Please note: If you've got a tat in a particularly sensitive area (hint, hint), you are excused from the extra credit. I don't want y'all to get in trouble with AOL's Terms of Service on account of little ol' me.

Okay, since I already have 2 tattoo's... I'll share how I got them and why...

On my Hawaii grad-trip in the summer of 2000... Ok, I just aged myself... I'm 22 ya'll... I decided that I was going to get a tattoo because, 1) I'd been wanting one and 2) I needed a permanent reminder of Hawaii... Um, maybe that isn't a real reason, but we'll just go with it okay?

So, on the last day in Hawaii a 'friend' (if you call it that) decide to head down to the local tattoo parlor and look around.  I'd been looking at tat's all week and been wanting to get one... But no one would come with me... So, off we were.  Then, as we got there, this 'friend' picks the one they want and I decide I want something Hawaii-ish... So... I choose a Sun... now where to put it???? Somewhere I can kinda hide it if I need to and somewhere I can show it off... So, it went on my ankle. Here it is:

My other tattoo is an Irish tattoo.  I wanted to get something to represent my heritage (I claim to be Irish more than anything)...  So I decided on something like this:

scan.jpg  Its a Claddagh ring... A Irish wedding band or promise ring of types... I would have posted my actual tattoo... But I can't take a picture of my lower back ;)

So, those are my tattoos... Anyone else share their story for John yet?

A Night at the County Fair!

                               Hey All... LOOK AT ME!

                                   Lookatme.jpg

So, we went to the county fair last night!  It was so much fun to see Miss Rowan enjoy all the animals, sites, and sounds!  The above picture is of Rowan standing on the 'dance' floor of the Jazz Concert... Waiting for some music to start.  She was very excited to be at the fair... So, here goes our trip...

This is Miss Rowan and her adopted Aunt Amy.  We are waiting to go to the fair... Rowan saw that I had my camera and wanted to take a picture with Auntie Amy... So this is it!

Our first stop at the fair (besides the bathroom for me...hehe) was to the Pig Barn.  This is my favorite spot at the fair... I raised pigs for 3 years during my FFA years... They'd have to be my favorite animal to do for the fair.  Hopefully Rowan will get the 'bug' someday to raise an animal!

Rowan looking at the Piggys.. She doesn't know what to make of them... So, Daddy comes over to help her out!  The city-boy that he is...

touches the pigs with Rowan! Lol...  Later, we found some baby pigs in the Petting Zoo.  I think Rowan liked those a little better.

Aren't they cute? The both of them???

The Princess Rowan also did meet a few cows, a goat and a turkey.  She was very determined to pet the turkey... Even though the turkey didn't want her to touch him!  She had to literally follow the turkey around for a few minutes before she could 'pet' him... Too Funny!

Chasing turkey   Finally Got it.

On the way to the Pony ride... Miss Rowan decided she wanted to get a foot massage... I don't know if anyone else has these little foot massage things at the fair or what ever they go to, but you put a quarter in and you get a foot massage for like a whole 30 seconds.  Well, Miss Rowan liked it at first, but when her shoes started to slip, I think she was done!

Starting the massage!   Standing on the maching because she is too short! She has her toes done too... Pedicure curtesy of the YaYa!

But the highlight of the evening would definetly have to be Rowan on the Pony Ride!  I think the $5 we spent to put her on the pony is the best $5 we have spent on her in a long time!!  Rowan truly enjoyed it... Smiles and no tears... She wasn't scared at all... I don't know if I've mentioned this before, but she has no fear!  I don't know why I ever doubted her wanting to be on the horse in the first place!  Here are a few pics of her... You might catch a glimpse of me... Just ignore ;) Pictures done by Daddy.

Patiently waiting her turn for the next pony ride...

Look at the Big Girl!  Smile!

Waving to Daddy, Aunt Amy and Duck, Coley and Denny!

A few times during the Pony Ride, Rowan busted out her Yee-Haw... Daddy took this picture of her while she was saying it!

YeeHaw.jpg What a big girl!!!

I would have to say though, the two cutest pictures I took all night are the following:

Posing.jpg

Rowan posing... This is her model pose.... And... This one.... Of Rowan and her Daddy dancing to the Jazz Music... Oh, so, Sweet... Its not a great picture... But I love it!

Partnersincrime.jpg

Well, I've been working on this for a while now... I guess I should go to some chores around the house... I hope everyone has a nice day and a great rest of the week!  TTFN....

Needing A "Pick-Me-Up"

Well, its been about a month since I've had my standard Venti Non-Fat Latte with 2 sweet n' lows... And I'm dying to have one!  I guess I'll just have to suffer... Or possibly get one that is De-Caffe... Hmmf.

I have been noticing that I do get headaches when I don't have any caffine... Which is a big bummer.  I didn't think that I was that 'addicted' to caffine... So, even though you aren't supposed to have caffine while you are pregnant (or only in moderation), I'm having to have about two Diet Pepsi's a day... Bummer... I was soo good last time with the Missy Rowan too.  I guess you get more relaxed with the more kids you have!

Well, I went and worked out yesterday at...   Curves.  It was our day to get weighed and measured.  According to their scale, I've lost 3.5lbs (4lbs at the doctors) and haven't lost too many inches (bummer).  When it came time for the gal to measure my stomach... I was like, "Don't bother.  It will just keep getting bigger" and she just looked at me like I said something in another language!  I guess she wasn't one of the gals that knew that I was preggo... She is an air head though!  On another note, my friend did loose weight and inches... So, Yippee for her!

Tonight we are going to the..... Stanislaus County Fair!  I keep telling Princess Rowan that we're going to the fair to see animals... Like the Piggy's (she'll snort in return), the cows (with a big Moo) and the sheep (and of course she baa's).  I would really like to get her on the pony ride... But I'm just wondering if she'll have a cow (lol)... She's never been on a pony and I don't know if she'll stress if somone isn't right there with her!  Oh well, I guess we'll just have to see...   Well, I've got a busy day ahead of me... I'll make sure to take some pictures tonight at the fair and try to use the site that Lisa of Lisa's Mommy Journal gave me to actually put them on the journal instead of the picture box.  We'll see... Well, TTFN.

Just a tid-bit of a test

BIG THANKS TO LISA of Lisa's Mommy Journal for pointing me in the right direction on how to put pictures in your journal besides using "MY FTP SPACE"...

thank you.... Thank You... THANK YOU LISA!

Blah Blah Day...

Its a Blah Blah Day.... And my mood is definetly ICKY.  Its been icky since I rolled out of bed.... Its been icky after I got out of the bath... After I finished my makeup and it has definetly been even more icky since I couldn't hold down my Squirt... BLAH.

The hubby thought it was pretty funny that I had to drop everything this morning and run to the bathroom... ::asking self, "why can't men experience morningsickness?"::  He was great though... Brought me another Squirt and everything after I was done being sick... "Thanks Babe"

Anywho... Enough of the stories of being sick... Can't make me feel any better talking about it!!!

The hubby wants to go to dinner tonight to a local Mexican food resturant.  I'm not sure if I'm up to it.  I rather sit at home and have a nice dinner around our table and not worry about the Princess bugging anyone... She likes to be independent and talk loudly... She hasn't found her 'inside voice' yet (lol).  So... we'll see if we go to dinner.  Maybe we'll just stop and pick up the food to go.

I'll definetly have to make sure I feel better tomorrow.  We are planning on going to our local county fair.  I was very active in our FFA chapter in high school and I can't seem to get away from the love of the animals.  I want Miss Rowan to know what it is like to touch a cow, a pig or a goat.  I want her to be able to tell her Dad and I (when she is older) that she wants to participate in 4-H or FFA.  So, the hubby, Rowan and another couple who we are friends with... oh, don't forget me!... are going to go to the fair Wednesday evening.  We'll let the Missy explore the barns and the exibits... Maybe pick up a corndog and some beef jerky... Yum.  I'll definetly have to take the camera along ::I can't forget... must remember::

Well, I've gotta go help finish closing out the month... Then it is time to enter new invoices and do some random stuff.  Today is Curves day!  Gotta get weighed and measured!

side note: I did get weighed yesterday at the doctors... I lost 4lbs in the last 21/2 weeks... ::woo hoo for me::

Hope all have a wonderful day!  TTFN....

Update on the Doctor Appt.

Just wanted to update the journal about my doctor's appointment this afternoon... As you can tell from the picture, all went well.

The doctor said I'm around 9 weeks and 3 days (give or take) and that the baby's due date is March 5th, 2005.  I will be delivering sooner... With my previous C-Section and Miss Rowan's weight (9lbs 2oz, a week early, induced!!!), it will be scheduled.  So, we'll have a new bundle of joy anywhere from Feb 28-March 4th!  Woo Hoo... How exciting!!

Well, I hope everyone's day was just as nice as ours!

More tomorrow... TTFN

Doctor Appt. Today...

I've got a doctor's appointment today at 1:30pm... Having it that late in the day makes me very anxious... Almost like having to wait all day to see someone you haven't seen in 10 years.

I'm also anxious because we are going to do another ultrasound.  It was about this time with my last pregnancy that I found out it wasn't viable... So that is what I have playing in the back of my mind.  I know I shouldn't worry... But after having one miscarriage, you always worry about another.

I know I shouldn't worry though... The last time we were there, the doctor said everything looked fine and even saw the heartbeat.  There is only a 3-10% chance of miscarriage after seeing the heartbeat... So, hopefully all will be okay today when we go.

Unfortunetly my hubby isn't able to go to the doctor with me.  He has SWAT training and isn't able to take the time to come to the appt because they won't be in town.  So, lucky for me, I have my Mommy and the Missy Rowan coming with me!  God forbid that anything bad happens, I'll have someone with me.... But I don't think anything will.

This time around its different.  I've got morning sickness up the wazoo and I feel pregnant... I feel bigger and bigger every day.  I'm only 2.5 months along... But I guess the 2nd time around you seem to get bigger quicker.  Hmm... That kinda scares me...

I have to be in a wedding in October... I'll be just into my 5th month... Oh man... I guess they'll have to do some major alterations on the dress huh??  Oh well, it is all for a good cause :)

Well, I've gotta go work on some payroll and then enter some invoices before I head out of here at 1240pm!

Hope all have a wonderful week... TTFN

A Trip to Te-Te's and A Lazy Sunday

First of all... Thanks SloMo for trying to give me some advice about the whole picture thing... I guess I just haven't comprehended it all though... The whole FTP thing seems easy enough, but when I go to upload it to Hometown, I think I'm doing it, but when I look for the picture, it isn't there... UGH.  I guess I'll have to do some more research... Or take SloMo up on her offer to help me???

::sigh:: ::I'm soooo blonde::

Anywho... Yesterday my parents, Rowan and I went to see my grandparents.  It was a nice trip.  Would have been a better trip if I hadn't been feeling sooo gross.  I can't wait for the morning sickness to pass...::YUCKY::

Rowan definetly enjoyed her visit with her great-grandparents.  She played with Te-Te's electrical chair (it moves up and forward or down) for a while and seemed to enjoy making something do what she wanted.  Grandma Te-Te also gave Rowan some 'meena' or 'Money' to people who don't speak Rowanese ;)  Rowan was very excited about that.  She came right home and put the $20 in her piggy bank too!

We had a nice lunch with the Gparents and then were off.  Its about an hour and a half trip one way so we don't stay too long.  Then when we got to my parents we hung out there and had some dinner... Yummy Yummy... Mama's cooking... Baked Chicken, potatoes and veggies... Yummy Yummy again ;)

But for today... We have done absolutely nothing today... Okay, I lied.  Rowan and I did get up this morning and make breakfast.  Pancakes, eggs and bacon.  Then it was time for a nap... lol... and then after the nap we did some cleaning.

Keeping these floors clean isn't that difficult... You gotta sweep and do a mop and all... But you notice all the stuff you wouldn't have noticed in the carpet a whole lot sooner!!  It is almost gross... I guess we'll be sweeping about every other day to keep the dust and the dog hair under control.

Well, I suppose I should go finish what I've already started... I've got some spot cleaning to do and then more laundry... ::does it ever end??::

TTFN all...
