~Well Shucks~

Well, I'm getting excited, if I do say so myself.  I'm in need of tonight and I can't wait for 6pm to roll around so I can give the hubby and the kiddos kisses and head out the door for some fun :)

Although, I won't be 'rollin in style' because I couldn't convince Derek to let me take the Tahoe :(  He is planning on taking the kiddos to his brothers... And because the Tahoe is the Kid Wagon- meaning who ever has the kids, drives it- I don't get to take it.  I guess I will just have to mob it in my PT Cruiser... lol

Actually, I think one of the girls that is going with us is planning on taking her Jeep... So, that will be fun to go in too :)

Derek was a sweet heart this morning.  He told me that his job had wanted him to go up to the hills to help look for an 81 year old man who has been missing for the past week, I guess he got lost hiking or something.  Well, he told them that if he worked another one of his days off, his wife would kill him.  So, having him home today is a nice thing.  Then he also got up this morning, went and got coffee from Starbucks and fresh donuts!!  Yum Yum.  Now he is in the garage, cleaning it out, making room, so I (we) can park the Tahoe in it.

Well, I just wanted to drop in... Say Good Morning and Hello.  Mr. Zachary is getting fussy in his play center, so I better run.  I promise to take plenty of pictures tonight... See you all tomorrow!!

~Blah Entry for a Blah Day~

It is a blah day people.  I hate blah days, really I do!  I haven't done anything productive today besides a few loads of laundry and loaded and unloaded the dishwasher.  Shoot, I didn't even shower until 2pm!  And then after I did, I just put some "lounge" clothes on... haha.

I've been making comfort foods all day today.  This morning, Rowan and I enjoyed scrambled eggs, sausage and strawberries for breakfast.  Lunch consisted of mac and cheese, with a few hotdogs cut up in it, and then Casper hot dogs with cheese!!  Goodness, was that lunch high in calories!  And now, I've got brownies baking in the oven!!

I am going to blame me wanting all the above named foods because I'm "PMSing", okay Cat??  It is just that time, I'm wanting it, so I'm going to have it!  I can't tell you the last time that this house has had brownies in it :)  Now, I'm really going to enjoy them... And a tall glass of milk... After dinner that is.

Dinner will be nummy all in itself... hehehe...

Mom and Dad are finally home.  I'm glad too, because I seriously was afraid that I was going insane after Derek left for work.  Nah, I'm just kidding, but I was getting kinda bored talking to myself and a three year old.

Oh sorry Zach, I was getting kinda bored talking to myself, a three year old and a five month old...

Anywho.  Tomorrow is the concert at the fair.  Uncle Kracker and Hoobastank.  Boy, am I anxious.  I. Need. It.  I need to go out and have fun.  Shoot, if I can convince Derek, I'll take the Tahoe (minus the kiddie seats) and we'll cruise in style to the concert.  Bumping the system and all, right Jackie??? lol...

Well, I'm going to stop blahing around and go pull out the brownies from the oven!  I hope everyone else has a blah evening too :)  Actually, I think I'm going to watch some eye-candy tonight and watch "Constatine" along with having my belly candy too :)

~La De Da Friday~

Well it is Friday, and boy, is it a nice day.  It isn't too hot today and I haven't been too busy to enjoy one of my days off.

In fact, this morning, I was able to sleep in until 7am!!  Ah, I know that doesn't sound too late to some of you, but when you wake up at 540 almost every morning, sleeping to 7am is a treat :)

Hmm, lets see.  Yesterday Derek, the kiddos and I went to Target and spent too much on mostly things we needed.  There were a few "wants" in there, but when you buy 3 cans of formula at $23 each, it can add up pretty quickly!!

After we went to Target, I talked Derek into taking me to Red Robin.  I know I said I wanted to go to Applebee's, but my MIL told me about this great sounding sandwich at RR and I wanted to go there... Hmm, it was a tasssty dinner!!  I had a Whiskey River BBQ Chicken sandwich.  It is made with a BBQ chicken breast, onion straws (thin sliced onion rings) and the rest of the stuff you'd put on a sandwich or burger.  Plus, it comes with never-ending Steak Fries.  Oh Yeah!!  I know I'll go back again...

Hehe... Enough about food.  I know I'll just end up making Lisa hungry if I keep talking the way I am :o)

Okay, so today, Miss Rowan was a Spoiled Princess.

After we (Zach and I) picked her up from school, we headed to the mall.  Our point of destination in the mall: Build-A-Bear!!

She loves that place and I love watching her in there.  She decided on making a Flamingo.  It is too cute!!  And then she picked out a bathing suit to dress it in.  The Flamingo is named "Pinkie".  Ahh, how sweet is that?

After spending some time in BAB, we stopped at the Disney Store on the way out.  I was looking for a movie or something, but they don't sell too many there.  On our way out, I spotted some Lunch Pails (bags).  I showed them to her and she sooo wanted the Tinkerbell one.  It was only $9.50, so I said okay.  She also conned me into get a giant sucker.  You know the kind that you'd see at amusement parks.  I told her she couldonly have it after dinner though... So she is patiently waiting!

Right now, Zach is squealing away in his swing.  I'm not sure if he is getting bored or if he is just having fun.  The little sucker is getting big though... I can't believe how quickly time has passed.  I don't remember it going this fast with Rowan, but I'm sure it did.  And he was such a good boy today at the mall, sitting in his Snugli (a baby carrier).  He loved sitting facing out and watching people.  I'm sure he was giving many smiles, because people were smiling at him!!

Miss Rowan is sitting here at the table right now, painting with her new water colors.  Yes, she got some yesterday when we were at Target.  Actually, she got a few things to do with art work.  Markers, crayons, paints and a big book of white paper.  We are going to start working on her "school work" on the days she isn't in school too, so I thought she needed a few things.

Tonight we are on our own.  I tried to talk Derek into staying home tonight, but he didn't... He said he already made an obligation to working tonight, so he will.  Ugh.  Oh well.  I guess spending time with him this weekend is pretty much shot.  The only other night he is "off" (he is off tomorrow, but is working again) is Sunday night, but I'll be at the fair, seeing Uncle Kracker and Hoobastank!!

Oh well.  Its not like we won't have some free time together ever... :D

Miss Rowan requested mashed potatos to go with the chicken breast I'm making for dinner tonight, so I guess I should probably go and start prepping for dinner!

Oh goodness.  I think I've started too many entries off lately with "I'm tired" so I am not going to do it this time. 

I'm going to start off by saying, "Thank Gosh its Thursday" :o)

I need a break.  Don't know why, but I do.  I love my job, who I work for and with, but I am at a time right now that I wish I could just be at home with my babies.

Agh.  Just one of those days I guess.  I'll blame it on PMS... Right Cat?  lol

My poor Little Man didn't have a very good night last night.  He tossed and turned- well, as much as a baby can in a bassinet- pretty much all night long.  He kept pulling his legs up to his chest- a sure sign of a belly ache or gas- even while he was sleeping.  He'd whine and even let out a little cry, then proceed to fanny-burp.  Poor boy.  I was up with him at mid-night and 430am.  Both times he had a bottle and cried when they were empty.  I think he cried because it was more soothing than actually feeding an empty belly. 

I'm guessing he had a tummy ache or gas due to the amount of solid food he had yesterday.  My mom fed him lunch (applesauce and cereal) and then I gave him dinner (sweet peas and sweet potatoes that were in cereal).  I am hoping that it wasn't the sweet potatoes that upset his belly... They were new to him... But rather he had just had too much.

Hopefully he'll have a better day than his night... I don't want him driving his YaYa or his Daddy insane!

Derek is finally off today!  He was supposed to go to Dog Training this morning, but because he didn't get home until 4am, he decided against it.  I guess he held over (he usually gets off at 230am) because of some arson.  A house was hit (set on fire) twice last night!  Crazy fools...

Anywho, because he is off today, I'm going to make him come with me to Target to get some stuff- gotta love Target- and then he'll take us out to dinner!  I really want to go to Applebee's, so hopefully I'll be able to con him into going.  He wants to go somewhere else, but since we'll be in the area already for Target, I'm going to plead for Applebee's :)

I swear, I need to make Derek learn how to enjoy a few of his days off though.  He is really off Thursday-Sunday, but the dodo-head will be working Gangs Friday and Saturday night!  Ugh, guess I'll be home by myself...

Mommy and Daddy are heading out of town... Again!!  They are going to Santa Rosa (or somewhere near there) to pick up some antiques that they purchased last weekend... And Derek is working... I guess I'll have to find a good movie (or two) to watch.  That or read, read and read.

Tomorrow our new car goes into the shop to be detailed.  Thank God too because it is so dirty!!  They didn't detail it on Sunday when we bought it because there was no one there to do it... So, they better be doing a good job or I'll have to give them some lip!!

haha... I'm silly

Last night I was able to talk to my friend Barbie on the phone!  I just get a kick out of talking to her... It is really neat to actually talk to people on the phone that you talk to online.  It is uncanny how they are really like what they seem on the computer... And of course, Missy Moo just had to say Hello too!  She loves talking to Mommy's friends!

Man, I'm such a Space Cadet right now.  I swear, I just zoned off for a good minute!  Dude, why isn't my Venti Carmel Mochiato (sp?) kicking in????

Alright folks... I'm going to get a move on with my day.  I might be back later, depending if I can find anything interesting to say... If not, oooh well!!

~Quick Side-Note~

 I finished "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" last night... I really enjoyed the book, but I was upset for two different reasons about finishing the book.

First of all, I didn't want the book to end.  It sooo left the ending open (obviously for book 7), that I felt that Rowling could have given us another 100pages or so before actually ending the story there.  I guess I'll have to wait until the next book is released- only god knows when that will be, probably 2008!!

Second, I was completely taken away at who she (Rowling) decided to "kill off" in this book.  I won't spill the beans, because I know some of you are reading it, but geeze, I'm sure you'll be just as suprised as I was.... And possibly sadden.  Yes, I did get a bit sad... But I know, "Its only a book".

Ugh.  Now that that "ride" is over, I guess I'll have to get back to reading "grown-up" stories.  I do have to finish one book by Jennifer Wiener and another to start....

Well, because you all have been so patient with me... I've decided to share some- okay a few many- pictures with you.  Hopefully I don't overload your brain :o)

First of all, here are two pictures of the "new baby".  Again, I was running late this morning, so they are only pictures of the outside.  I so wanted to get in and take pictures of the inside... But ugh, sometimes, things don't happen like you want them to!

Okay, so here are Two Happy pictures.  As I was literally heading out the door, she started to break down.  I snapped some pics of her crying and telling me that she didn't want me to go to work.  My mom said to me, "well, I'm glad you find this funny..." LMAO.  I'm so bad.  But geeze, you can only take so much whinning and crying!!

Ugh!  I'm so tired this morning.  I was woken up by Mr. Zachary (who was woken up by his Daddy stomping into our room when he got home!!) at 3 this morning.  And I swear, I could hear his belly grumbling!  So, I fed the little bugger and put him back in his bassinet.  But the little snook didn't want to go back to sleep!  He was up until 4am... Playing in his bassinet and "cooing".  I have to get him out of the bassinet though.  He is getting too big :)  Here are some pics of him that I took this morning.
   
Doesn't he look so pale?  I guess it doesn't help that he is surrounded by light colors and the fact that he is such a "white baby"... Not to mention the Flash from the camera too!
   
My Mister Blue Eyes... I need to try to crop this and get a close up on his eyes.  I hope they stay blue!!  He is a little over 5 months now, what are the chances that they'll stay???

My sister-in-law just emailed me some pictures of my kiddo and her cousin from this weekend's BBQ at my in-laws.  So, I thought I'd share these two with you. 

 This one isn't the best pic, but it so shows how much of a camera ham that my daughter is... She literally stopped doing "Ring-Around-the-Posie" so that she was facing the camera when my SIL took the pic!  Does she remind you of anyone Nae???

                 

Rowan and her cutie-patootie cousin Morgan, who just turned two July 14th!  They are at the perfect age to be "buddies" as they call each other!  You can see the family resemblence, somewhat, but then they can be total polor opposites!

~Dodo-Head in the House~

Hi.  My Name is Dodo-Head!  I'm a complete blonde... Bottle color or not- and I forget to do things...

Yes people.  I forgot to take pictures of the 'new baby' as Lisa called her!!  And I keep forgetting to take pictures of my purple hair too!!  Yes... It is still in... Yippee!  And I love it.

Man, this morning, I was running wayyyy behind for work.  I was woken up at 430 this morning to Mr. Zachary being a complainer and wanting a bottle.  Actually, I think it was more his wet diaper than anything waking him up.  He can't stand to have a wet diaper... but I didn't hear any complaining out of him when I did give him his bottle though!  I swear, he would have eaten more than his normal 6oz though... He seemed a little ticked when it was gone.  Anywho, because I was up at that early-butt-crack of a time, I'm guessing that when my alarm went off at 540 this morning, I just turned it off.  Eeek.  Because at 6am, when Derek's alarm on his watch went off (god only knows why it is set, but thankfully it was!!) I lurched out of bed and practically ran into the shower!!

I'm usually ready to leave the house at 645 in the morning, but today, I wasn't ready until 7!!  So, needless to say, I wasn't able to snap any pictures or even think about doing it.  And on top of being rushed to get ready... I had to comfort my little Princess this morning.

I don't know what is going on, but she is having some issues lately with me leaving her.  I don't get it... She literally broke down crying this morning when I was trying to get ready for work.  Poor thing... It breaks my heart to leave her, but shoot, I gotta.  She did end up going back to sleep, at least for a little while longer this morning, so thats good.

Oh!  She had a great time at gymnastics last night.  She so needed to go and have some fun... Yes, school is fun to her, but she looks forward to gym.  She also found it very exciting to be able to sit in the back seat of "Mommy's New Car" and watch a movie!

She watched "Finding Nemo" all the way there and all the way back.  She had the headset on and she looked too cute!!  Right as she got out of gym, she tells me, "Hurry momma, I wanna go finish watching Nemo".  How cute is that??

That DVD will definetly be a good thing when we go on long trips... Like when we go to Pismo again in September!!!  Gosh, I can't wait... Only two more months :)

So, what do you guys think about my new "theme" for the journal?  Because it is so damned hot here, I kinda wanted a "cool" theme!  lol.  How about Nae's work though, isn't she great??  I don't know if I could ever be that creative!!  Don't forget to check out all her stuff at ::Made by Nae::  she'll Tag a lot of things for you too!  If you ask nicely ;o)

This evening the kiddos and I will be going to my friend Amy's house.  She is home alone, because her Parents are gone on vacation... So, I figured because she always comes to my house, that the kids and I will trek out to her house, with dinner, to spend some time with her!  Plus, Rowan just loves going out there to the country (she lives on like 5 or so acres) and seeing all the animals out there.  Right now they've got some calfs and I know Ro would love to try to touch one!  We won't stay late or anything, because Missy Moo (what I've been calling Ro lately- sorry for the confusion) has school tomorrow morning.

But at least it will get us out of the house for a while and let my parents have some "quiet time".

Has anyone finished reading "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince" yet?  I'm so close to the end, like on page 480 or something like that.  I swear, I was dreaming about Magic and stuff related to the book last night.  How funny is that??

Well my friends, I'm in a total blonde-loopy mood and can't seem to concentrate on too many things at once, so I best get going.  Gotta do some work and what not.  I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!

~Monday Monday~

           

Goodness, I've been a naughty girl haven't I??  Not updating my Journal and what not!!

But hey, I've got some pretty good excuses on why I haven't....

See, I was sick right?  Well early Saturday morning, I woke up around 1230am to my throat just killing me.  I could hardly swallow and there was no way I sounded normal when I talked.  So, after taking a really strong IB Pro, I was able to get back to sleep... When I finally did get up on Saturday morning, I called my doctors office and was able to get in at 1020 that morning!!  Woo Hoo!  Well, when I got there, I was barely able to talk.  The doctor took one look at my throat and said, "Oh My, your throat looks Horrible!!" and she proceeded to tell me that she'd give me a shot of antibiotic and a shot of a steroid (to help the swelling go down) because I was so bad off!

Well... I got the shots... One on each side of my arse!!  Holy cow, I've never experienced a shot in the ass before!  Can you say "Ouch".  But oh my, was I feeling better later that day!  I swear, I got the shot around 11am and I was feeling 100% better -not fully recovered, but better- by 7pm!  She did also put me on the Z-pack antibiotic too... So, I'm guessing what ever I had had its butt kicked, because I can't even tell that I've been sick!

Now, if I get that sick again, you know I'll be asking for the shots in the arse again!!!

Anywho...

Sunday was a big day for us also!  Derek and I went and purchased a new car!  Thank gosh too, because our little PT Cruiser wasn't kicking it as a family car anymore :)

We had been talking about getting a Chevy Tahoe for a while now, and because GMC is having that Employee Discount right now, we thought it would be a good time to look into them!  Well, we did... And we purchased a 2005 Silver Chevy Tahoe!!  It is fully loaded... With a DVD player in the back for the kids and the third row optional seating in the back!  It has so many bells and whistles that I don't even know what half of them do :)  Shoot, I couldn't even figure out how to turn the a/c off in the back... It has separate controls for the second row.  So, today, after I get home from work, I'll be loading the kiddos car seats in there and figuring out some of the controls...

I'm extremely happy about it though.  We got a deal on it and we ended up trading in our old truck on top of our down payment... Goodness, if anyone is thinking about a GMC truck/car, go look into it now, because the offer ends on August 1st!

And you know, because I'm such a dodo-head, I totally forgot to get some pictures of it this morning to show you all :)  So, I will have to take some this afternoon and make sure I bring the card with me to load the pics tomorrow morning!

Oh and I'll have to show you the pictures of the cutie-patootie puppy we babysat this weekend.  No, we aren't keeping her... The vet has found a home for her... But goodness, was she a sweetheart.  Three feet and all :)  Only one BIG oopsie in the house... But other than that, she was a good girl.  Poor Miss Rowan has fallen in love with her, so I'm hoping Derek will get her out of the house quietly, so Rowan doesn't have too big of a break down :(

Well, I hate to run, because I know I probably have more to ramble on about... but I've got a stack of work built up from the days that I was home sick!!  Hope you all have a wonderful Monday...

~I'm Alive~

Whew, I'm still alive... I'm amazed really... Because for a while, I was really feeling like Ca-ca-poo-poo :)  Nice little visual huh people?  Well, it is the truth.

I'm still really not up to par, but I'm surviving and having to take over the parental duties... My parents went out of town again for the weekend and Mr. Derek doesn't know what a day off is, so, its just me and the kiddos.

My throat is still killing me.  Completely red from way back in the back to half way up the roof of my mouth.  Derek has convinced me to gargle (sp?) with a hydrogen peroxide/water mixture.  It seems to be helping, but damn, does it give you a nasty taste in your mouth!

Anywho.  My mom and I went today to get our nails done again.  I got my toes done with a "french tip" but instead of white, I went with Purple :)  Its obviously my new color... lol. 

Now I'm enjoying a lunch of tomato soup with Rowan.  Zachary is also enjoying some lunch of Sweet Peas with Barley Cereal on the side!  OMG!!  He is sooo loving those peas.  He will actually complain if I don't give him enough or if I'm not fast enough :)  I swear, I think he has eaten about half a small jar!  But wow, what a mess he is... He'll definetly be getting a bath as soon as I'm done eating!!

Miss Rowan, Zach and I will be going to the grocery store this afternoon after the kiddos naps.  Gotta get some food for the house and pick up something to make for the BBQ that we'll be going to tomorrow.  Its my FIL's birthday and I am thinking I'm going to make Rice Krispie Treats :)  Yum Yum!! 

Well, Zachary is complaining that I'm not feeding him enough and Miss Ro is done with her lunch, so I need to get her down for her nap.  I hope everyone has an awesome Friday and a great weekend!!

PS- Derek is bringing home a Puppy today that we'll be "babysitting" this weekend.  She is a Rottie (awww) and he has named her Nemo... Yes, as in the movie, "Finding Nemo".  Can you think of why???  Well, if you recall (if you've see the movie, that is) that Nemo has one fin that is smaller than the other??  Well, this little puppy has four legs, but only three feet!!  Yes, she is a tid-bit handicapped :)  So, that is why he named her Nemo.  I'm guessing that if she mingles well with our family, she MIGHT become a new addition, but that is all up in the air!!  I'll have to capture some pics of her to share with you on Monday!!  Luvs to all....

.... I'm sick.

God, how I hate being sick.  Last night was horrible though.  Thankfully, I was asleep around 845pm again (smile) because after I woke up at 1135pm to give Zach his meds (an hour and a half late-doh!) I tossed and turned...

I was hot... I was cold... Comfortable... Uncomfortable...

And finally, after I had fallen asleep again, Little Man decides he is going to wake up!  At 245am...

He must be going through a growth spurt or something.  I swear, I picked him up yesterday morning and said, "When did you get this big?" because I felt like I was picking up a bag of bricks!

So yeah, once again I was up at 245 in the morning.  I wasn't able to go back to sleep after that.  When Derek got home at 330, he brought me some NyQuil and I chugged that Icky Nasty stuff down.  I don't know what it did to me, but I swear, it made me sweat (I know, gross) my fever out.  I was sooo Hot and I tossed some more.  I didn't wake up again until 540 when my alarm went off.

Weird enough, I felt Semi-Better this morning.  At least, for a little while.  Now I'm feeling foggy-headed, my throat is killing me, I'm coughing and I believe I'm running a temp!  Ugh!  My cheekies feel tingly and my skin is sensitive...

Yep, I'm guessing I have another temp.  Better take some Tylenol Cold while I'm thinking about it...

I'm thinking I'm going to have to beg my Hubby to make some homemade Chicken Soup.  Ah, that sounds good.  Nice and warm on my owie throat.  Don't know about adding tabasco though Barbie, maybe I'll just stick to the Apple Cider :o)

I'm also hoping that if it keeps being slow the way it is right now here at work, that my Dear SIL won't mind if I left work around noon.  I hate being such a complainer, but if I don't think about myself and get myself better... How will I take care of my kiddos?  Thank goodness that Derek is home tonight... And for the next four nights!  That means I'll have help...

Not like my parents don't help or anything, don't get me wrong.  But with Derek home, he can play Daddy and I can recoupe... Or hope to :)

Okay, going to run.  Going to try to get as much done as possible and then hopefully head home... ::fingers crossed::

OH! I almost forgot to share this with you guys... Zachary Justice Matthew, who will be 5 months old on Friday, has learned how to roll over, sit up for a few seconds/minute by himself and hold his own bottle!!!  How awesome is that??

~Quick Drop In and Uh Oh~

Just wanted to drop in and say Hello!  I'm so super busy today at work... Something not that new, but somehow, its overwhelming today.  I think it might have to do with me not feeling all that well. 

Uh Oh.  I think I'm getting sick.  I'm trying to fight it, but its tough.  Tough because I'm so tired and I'm trying not to burn the candle from both ends!

Its so hard not too either.  I swear, last night, I was asleep at 9pm.  I did have to wake up at 10pm (thank you alarm clock) to give Zachary his meds, but I was fast to sleep again in minutes and then up again at 3am when Derek came home.

And of course, because Derek doesn't know how to be Quiet, he woke Zach up and then I had to get up to feed him.  That boy won't quit!  I swear, he downed 6oz in a matter of minutes.  Weird thing though, is that lately, it is taking me a good few minutes to get him to burp!  Don't know why, but it is.  So, after his burp, he went back into the bassinet and squaked away until I shoved that Ruff (pacifier) back into his mouth and turned the light off all the way!

Finally, around 345am, after we (yes, the three of us- me, Ro and Derek) all got situated in bed, I was asleep... That is, until 540 when my damned alarm clock when off again!! 

lol... My poor alarm clock.  First I thank it at the beginning of this entry and then I'm hating it now...

So, I'm thinking I need some sleep!!  I only wish I could go home and climb into bed and read Harry Potter for a while.  I'm still slacking on it.  I'm only like 220pages (if that) into it.  See, I knew I should have read on Saturday night instead of watching "The Outsider" on the Hallmark Channel.  Yes, it was good... But I should have read!!  Because I'm now itching to get back to the house to read!!

Okay, I need to get back to work now.  I've got a huge stack of payables to enter!!  Hope everyone has a wonderful Tuesday...

~Hectic Monday~

Hi Guys, Pickle Here.  Just wanted to drop in real Quick-Like and say Hello and Good Morning.

I am not going to be able to do a real, in-deepth (haha, as if) entry today.  Its hectic and very busy at work today.  I'm having to do Payroll (MIL is off on Vaca) and a bunch of other things!

So, I have no real time to steal from work and do an entry... Oh yes.  My mood lifted yesterday and I was happier once it started to cool down.  And yes, Lisa, we did have the A/C on.  I'd be crazy not too!!

Oh, Miss Rowan is now sick... Thanks to Derek I'm sure.  Running a temp around 100.5 last night.  Ugh.  No school and no gym for her today.

It is totally hot here today.  I can't believe I was freaking complaining about summer not being here only a few weeks ago, because now I'm wishing it would hurry up and leave.

It is about 102 right now, and it is supposed to hit 107 before today (this evening) is over.  Can you believe that?  I don't remember it being this hot last summer, but hey, I guess its a good thing because I might have decided to uproot and move to a much cooler place...

I've got a sick heady for the 4th day in a row.  I'm in a Bummer Mood and just really wanting to sit on the couch and read my new book...

But Zachary is cranky.  Not sure why, but he has been for a few days now.  He is not running a fever and his heart is beating just fine... So, I'm not sure what it could be.  The doctor the other day told me that there was no such thing as "teething", so I'm not going to say he is.

I think he might have a Sour Belly though.  He has spit up more than once today and it just reeks!!  I'd have to say, baby spit up is so not my choice of perfume :ox

Rowan is getting stir crazy.  Its too hot for her to go outside and play until like 815pm.  But geeze, who wants to play then?  And it is so hard to enjoy the pool when its just me at home... And when the pool is freaking 86 degrees :)  lol.  Zach hasn't really taken to being in the pool... Yet.  But I'm hoping he'll start to like it because I'm so needing to be in there!!  Shoot, I'm getting stir crazy.

Derek is working again tonight.  Mom and Dad headed off to San Fran yesterday morning and they aren't expected home until this evening... So, its just me and the kiddos tonight.

I am thinking I really need a nap.  That or a tall glass of cold milk and some cookies.  Hmmm, Yes, I be thinking that is what I need.  And I'm thinking I'll try to do both.  Both kids are napping, so I am going to endugle in my sweet tooth and then possibly take a little-nappy-nap.

Sorry to bitch and complain ya'll... But it is so gosh darned HOT and it really can make you 'short' :o)

~Icky Heat, Harry Potter and Purple Hair~

Man, I wish I was "chillin" because right now, I'm seriously freakin baking!!  Its about 106 degrees outside.  You instantly start sweating as soon as you walk out the gosh-darned door and you are struck with a Sick Headache if you are outside too long!  Seriously, I would say that it is almost too hot to go outside to get into the pool.  Besides, the pool is almost too hot to get in.  Its about 86 degrees!  Thats a Mildly Warm Bath... Geeze, or a Semi Heated Hot Tub! :0

Anyways, you all get my point.  Its hot and I'm bitching and thats never fun.  So, I'll get on with it.

This morning I was able to sleep in until 8am!!  Can you say "WOO HOO"?  Yes, it was nice and it actually helped that Mr. Zachary woke up at 330 this morning to have his bottle and didn't stir until a little after 8am.  Nice huh??

Well, anyways, Rowan and I went to Borders this morning to pick up "Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince".  Silly me, thinking that because it was "Such A Big Day" that they'd be open at 835am.  Nah, they weren't.  They didn't open until 9!  Oh well, Rowan and I sat around and listened to Gwen Stefani's "L.A.M.B" until it was almost time to go in.

I picked up my book (Thanks Mom for pre-ordering it for me!!) and purchased a Disney Princess book for Rowan.  She was extremely happy to get it!  I never get tired of making her happy or seeing her smile.

I'm only about 4 pages into the new book, but once the kiddos go down tonight, I will be reading away... Derek thinks I will finish it in less than a week.  I'm not sure, but its not that big.  Its only 652 pages, so it wouldn't be that hard to finish in less than a week, but unless I can't find the time, then it won't happen.

Anywho, I went yesterday with my mom to get our hair done.  I decided that I'd go even funkier than before and put in a new color in my hair.  Yep, I put in PURPLE streaks :)  Yippee!!  It is soooo cute.  And yes, I will be posting pictures.  Just give me a few days, okay!

Well, Rowan is watching "Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory" and wanting some lemondae, which does sound pretty Yummy, so, I think I'll head out.  Not to mention, Zach is mucho cranky!!

~Ramblings, Sickies and Zach Update~

I'm so happy that today is Thursday.  I am so super tired, that I'm actually wishing that I could just climb into bed and then sleep for 12 hours straight, no freaking interuptions.  But geeze, there is no reason for me to be tired, unless my brain is bored...

I was asleep by 10pm last night and was woken up to a baby cooing next to me at 530 this morning.  No worries, I'm usually up at 540 anyways.  I guess I might have slept "too hard" because I really feel like I didn't get enough sleep.  Oh well.... Life goes on and you really don't need to hear me bitching anymore!

So, my dear husband is sick.  He is such a big baby... I even asked his mother (whom I work with, remember) what she did to him to make him such a 'Baby'... lol!  He is finally going to the doctors this morning at 1145 after me basically being a Bitch to him and telling him he has to go!!  See, Derek doesn't get sick all that often, but when he does, he gets SICK.  Like full-blown-sick.  Like, lay in bed, throat swollen and coughing, sick...

"I'm dying" sick... "He's a Baby" sick... lol

So, hopefully, the doctor will give him some meds and get his body back on track, because I can't live with that butt head anymore :o)

Zachary had his Well-Baby check up yesterday afternoon.  Besides it being one million degrees outside- okay, not really- everything went pretty well.  He is now weighing 16lbs 2.5oz and is almost 26 inches long.  Gosh!  He is getting HUGE.  We didn't see his normal PCP because she is out on Maternity Leave (dumb lady that she is...) but this really awesome male doctor.  He kinda reminded me of a Big Ol' Teddy Bear... He told Zachary that he made a mistake, because he was an interesting patient.  I guess he said that because he was looking at his chart (that is about 1inch in height!!) for so long.  He was really nice and Zach seemed to like him.  He even found us some tylenol (NEW BOX!!) to give to him before he got his shots.  I'm thinking I might look into having Zach see him from now on.

He did okay with his shots though.  Not too fussy and hasn't seemed to run a "fever" yet.  He was a little warm last night, but who is to say if it was from the shots or from it being Hot.  I've just been giving him tylenol and hopefully that will help.

Zachary goes and see's his cardiologist tomorrow at 330pm.  I'm sure we'll be having fun there... He hates to sit still while they do his EKG and then have the sticky pads ripped off of him.  I've found that if I bring a bottle and feed it to him while he has it done, then it somewhat takes him mind off of it.

Oh well, he's gotta do it... Thats all that is important and that matters.  More than likely, we'll be seeing him for every month for the next 8 months and then slowly tapper off... But I'm guessing he'll have to see that doctor long into childhood.

I also get to get my hair done tomorrow morning!!  Yippee... I need a trim because my hair feels like it weighs 100lbs.  Haha.  I have so much hair and on top of that, its thick... Ugh, no fun when its 105degrees out!!  I'm going to talk to her about putting the pink back into my hair... As long as it stays this time!!  I was disappointed that it was only really visible for just about 3 days or so.  Hopefully she can figure something out where it can stay in for longer...

Because I want it in my hair for 31st...

"What is the 31st?" You say... Well, my bestest friend in the whole wide world, Amy, invited me to go with her to see Hoobastank and Uncle Cracker at the Stanislaus County Fair!!  I keep counting down the days until our next "Girls Night Out"... lol!!

Ugh!  I gotta go to Target, again, today!  When I went last week to pick up formula and what not, they only had the small 10oz cans.  Well, that would be fine and dandy if my child didn't consume 6-7 ounces of formula every 4 hours!  So, we are on the last can... Plus, Zach is needing diapers (soooo expensive for something you "piss" away) and other tolietries that they know you need, so they jack up the price!!  Oh well, guess I gotta feed and diaper my child, right??

Gotta jet ya'll... Time to actually do something at work, because I need the cash-flow!!

No, this isn't my bed.  Lol.  Mine is nothing at all like that- thank god.  But doesn't it look comfy??  See, right now, I'm willing to climb into anyones bed- an empty one that is- to get some extra sleep!!

I don't know what the deal is, but my Zach isn't sleeping in as long as he was for a while.  Last night, he was asleep by 815 last night and was Wide Awake at 450 this morning.  Yes, I know he slept a good 8 hours, but he used to sleep until at least 6am.  I'm used to my sleep now... He had me spoiled :)  Oh well.  Hopefully this is just a "growth spurt" and he needs more in his belly...

Oh yes, I have a Haha from Rowan that I want to share with you all.  No, she didn't get stuck on the potty for 30 mins like last time.  LMAO.  Last night, as I was putting her to bed, I told her that if she slept the whole night in her bed that I would buy her something.  Yes, I admit it, I was bribing her.  Well, she asks me "Like what?" and I said something to the affect of, "How about a new Build-A-Bear".  Well, she just looked at me for a moment and shakes her head, points to her hand and says, "Nooo.  A Diamond Ring!!"  OMG!!  I just started laughing... She just looked at me like "What? What did I say??"  I asked her what she said and she repeated the whole thing!  "A diamond ring Mommy!"  Goodness, my child is learning early, isn't she??

Today, Mr. Zachary has his Well Baby check-up.  Which means, he'll be getting Shots!!  Poor baby.  Last time, he was so mad that I thought he'd pass out because he seemed to holdhis cry so long!!  Derek is supposed to meet me at the doctors office, to drop him off.  I told him to make sure he gives him some tylenol before he leaves, that way he doesn't run too much a fever and has a pain reducer already in his system.

Today isn't his only doctors appointment either.  He goes to the cardiologist on Friday for another check up.  I'm sure that will be fine.  He will have to have an EKG and the doc takes his blood pressure and listens to his heart.  But that is about it.  He'll definetly up his meds, because how much he gets depends on his weight.  And the boy is a Chunko :D

Goodness, its hot!!  Its only 930am and its just about 85 degrees!!  By 1pm today, it will be 95!  Ugh... This whole week, it will be anywhere from 101-105 degrees!  Thank goodness I have a swimming pool :D

Which, I will be using today.  Amy is going to come over this afternoon after I return from Zach's appointment to swim and do laps with me.  I'm going to try for my 80, if not more.  Just as long as my shoulder doesn't blow out on me again!

Well, I'm done for now.  I am waaayyy behind on my work.  I guess I sat around with my finger up my nose too much yesterday- not literally folks!!

Gosh, I wish it was Thursday already.  I really enjoyed the short week that I had last week... I only worked 3 days and will be paid for 4- thanks to the Holiday!!  My mind is just not wanting to wrap itself around the idea of working today.  I'm so tired today.  Zach decided he would get up at 515 this morning and I couldn't get him back to sleep.  So, at 530 I rolled out of bed and got a bottle for him and that was the end of my sleeping.  I wish I could just be back home, in bed with the kiddo (Ro) and Derek (Zach doesn't like sleeping in bed for some reason). 

But alas, I can't go home.  I have too much to do here at work!!  I didn't get much done yesterday, don't know why, but I didn't.  So, I guess I'll be playing "Catch-Up" with work today.

Okay guys, I know some of you were asking to see pics from the wedding this weekend, but don't think I'm a tard or anything, because I didn't take any!!  I was so flustered and nervous - long story- about going to the wedding, that I totally forgot to take before pics and bring my camera!!  So Sorry Charlie's.

I wish I did have pictures though, because seeing "Pie-Eyed" (thank you Lisa) pics are crack-ups and I had such a good time...

I am feeling better today though.  I still have a tid-bit of a headache, but truly, I think that is from not drinking any (none-zip-zippo) water yesterday.  So, hopefully after I down a few bottles of water, I'll start to feel better...

Yesterday I had to go to the Doctors... Fun Stuff that is, I'm sure all you women can relate.  Anyways, I was happy and disappointed all at the same time when I got on the scale.  I was happy that I hadn't gained any weight, but disappointed when I saw that I haven't lost any.  Goodness, I really need to do something about it... I'm having a hard time sticking to any diet and making myself work out.  Its too damn hot to go walking and by the time I get home, I'm too tired to do anything!!

I guess I just have to slap myself around and make myself do it... Cause truthfully, I'm not happy were I am.  I want to be back to wear I was BEFORE I had Rowan... Thats a long ways away, but I'm sure if I actually stuck to what I need to do, I could eventually get there.

Anyways, enough about me and my bitching...

Miss Rowan had gymnastics last night.  It was good for her to get back into it... They didn't have it last week, because of the Holiday... She so needed to have fun with other kids- like she doesn't get enough of that at PreSchool!  She did pretty well at the class though.  She seemed a little tired and wasn't listening all that well, to me that is... But she had a good time.

After Ro's gym class, I went to my friend's house that just had a baby last Wednesday.  Well, her baby is in the NICU over at a hospital in Modesto.  He was born with the condition that every organ in his body is opposite of where it is supposed to be.  Well, because he has that condition, his Cillia (the hairs in his lungs) aren't working correctly and he has fluid built up in his lungs.  So, they are home with out him and she has been pumping.  Well, I told her not to buy a pump, because the good ones are expensive, that she can just go ahead and borrow mine.  So, I took that, a pack of diapers too small for my Chunko and an outfit (brand new and too small for Z) over to her.  I did get to see pictures of him, he is adorable. But seeing them brought so many memories back from Zach in the hospital.  I am going to try to go to the hospital today to see him... Hopefully he'll come home by next week sometime!

Okay guys... I've lolly-gaged enough and really need to get my butt into gear.  SO, I must go now...

~Busy Busy~

Oh goodness.  I can't believe that I wasn't able to get to my journal this weekend!!  I feel so crappy... Because I so wanted to get on and "type-type" away.  Life just was way too busy this weekend for me to even think about actually sitting down and doing an entry.

Although, I was able to read some journals, but with close to 45 alerts in my In-box, I guess I'm still a little behind...

Okay, so you're probably wondering why in the heck I was so busy that I couldn't get on here right??  Well, I was.  Believe me!

Friday I did a bunch of errands... From taking Ro to school and picking her up, to going to the mall and spending money I didn't have to get a new outfit for the wedding I was going to on Saturday.

I ended up purchasing this really pretty black dress- less formal than the one I was planning on wearing- that 'wrapped' around and had really pretty broach on the side.  I was pretty happy because I got it on sale from $115 to $95.... But get this!  I had a $50 gift card, so I ended up paying only $45!!  Woo Hoo.  I did have to purchase a pair of shoes and some hose, but eh, its okay! 

It is okay, because I ended up having a blast at the wedding!!  I really didn't think I would, but I (we) did.  It was almost like a mini High School reunion!  Goodness, I had WAY too much fun, if you catch my drift... lol.

We hung out with the "Old Group" that we used to hang out and party with... It was so much fun and it brought a lot of memories back from "the good ol' days".  Amy and I just enjoyed ourselves and my mom did too :)  Sometimes, you just gotta have a "Girls Night Out".  hahaha.

But the wedding itself was pretty interesting to me, as a Non-Catholic.  It was long... about an hour and fifteen minutes and was just a little bit different compared to other weddings that I had been too.  It was nice though and it is always nice to see other types of weddings.

Sunday I spent recouperating.  Lol.  I've only been sick-sick once before after drinking, but Sunday made it my second.  I do not want to see Margaritas any time soon!!  Gosh, I couldn't believe how icky I felt afterwards... But like my dad said to me, "Don't do the crime unless you can pay the time".  And boy, did I pay!!!

Not much else has been going on in the Pickle Jar.  We've been just basically trying to stay Cool in the warm weather that we've been having lately.  The next few days, we'll be in the low 100's!  Ugh!  I guess we'll be spending plenty of time in the pool.  Thank goodness we have that, really.

It was actually so hot last night that poor Miss Rowan (who slept with me- I think we are regressing!! argh!) slept in just her undies.  And for me, it was just a Big Ol T-Shirt!  Normally, I usually wear PJ pants and a T-Shirt, but UGH it was too damn hot to wear that!!  No Lisa- We did not have the air conditioner on... Shoot me now for being that dumb, okay!!

Oh yeah, last night, I did talk to Barbie on the phone, for about a good hour actually!!  It is really neat to talk to someone on the phone that you really only talk to Online.  It is pretty funny how someone's true personality shines through when you talk to them online, because when I talk to Barbie on the phone, its just how I would think it would be!  So upbeat and funny!  So, thanks for the chat last night Barbie...

This weekend will be a very busy for me too, doctor appointment wise that is.  Today I have a doctors appointment, then on Wednesday Zach goes to his peditrician.  He also goes to the cardiologist on Friday.  Speaking of which, I have to get his prescription refilled because it will run out before we go there on the 15th.  Guess I'll have to jump through some hoops for that one... Gotta call the pharmacy to have them fax something to the doctors office... Yadda Yadda Yadda.

Oh well.  I think I've rambled on plenty this morning.  We've finally closed our month out, so now I can actually do something!  I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday!!

~I Love Swimming and a Funny Story~

Well, I went swimming again yesterday afternoon.  Actually, my friend Amy, Rowan and I went swimming.  Of course, Miss Rowan didn't do the laps that we did, but we all did swim together.  I did 80 laps last night.  I would have tried to hit my 100 mark goal, but my shoulder- that I jacked in High School- started to hurt, so I stopped.  Miss Rowan also was BEGGING to swim with out her water wings, so, that gave me a good reason to stop too :)

I don't know what was up with her yesterday afternoon though.  She didn't seem to want to swim the way that she was the day before.  I think it was because her Auntie was there and she was being "shy".  She did swim enough to knock her out last night... Haha.

Speaking of last night, I have a really funny story to share with you all.  Actually, its pretty funny and a tiny bit sad- for Rowan, that is.  Last night, my mom, Amy and I were watching "Underworld" in the frontroom while Rowan was in my bed, watching TV getting ready to sleep.  She called out what I thought was, "I have to go Pee-Pee", so I told her to go.  Well, about 30 mins later, as I was pulling Zach's meds and after we were done watching the movie, after Amy had left (it was a long time from the time she told me she had to 'pee'), I hear her crying... Hysterically!!  I make my way down the hall pretty quickly to my room, thinking she is crying in bed.  Well, when I find that she isn't in my bedroom, rather in the the BATHROOM, crying on the toilet.  What I thought was her saying she had to go pee, was actually her saying that she had to go "Stinkies"!!  My poor little girl had been waiting on the toilet, in a semi-lighted bathroom, for me to come in there!!  She was crying and saying she was scared!!  She told me, "I scared myself Mama, I scared"... I felt sooo bad for her.  I guess we didn't hear her over movie, calling for me to come wipe... lol.

I'm such a bad Mommy... She even told me that too!!  Haha... It took me a good 10 mins to calm her down.  And because I felt so bad because it all of it, that I just let her sleep in bed with me.  Poor thing, guess she'll start wiping herself (which she can!!) from now on...

Ah, I'm so happy that today is Thursday.  I am so just wanting to go home and go to sleep.  I know that isn't going to be possible, with having to take care of my children, but a Mama can always dream!  Its a good thing that Derek is off tonight too though.  That way I don't have to do everything on my own...

Tomorrow I am going to be oh-so-busy running around doing things.  Rowan has school, so I'll be having to take her there.  Then Zach-man and I will be heading off to Target (it is SOO nice going there that early!!!) to pick up some much needed items (baby food/formula, etc.) and some birthday presents.  My niece is turning 2 years old on the 14th and her birthday party is this Saturday, so I need to find something for her.  But what do you get a child that has everything?!?!  I also am picking up a present for my friend's son who is turning 4 on the 14th.  I gotta get that to the mail as soon as possible, because they live in Washington. 

Sometime on Friday I also have to try to make it to the mall!!  My mom, Amy and I are going to a wedding of a guy we went to High School with and I need to either get some shoes for a dress that I already have or purchase a whole new outfit.  I'm really thinking about the new outfit, because the dress I have is a tid-bit on the formal side, and I am not exactly sure what the "dress-code" of the wedding is going to be.  See, it is a Catholic wedding (I'm sure it will be a full blown ceremony too!!) at 2pm, with about 450 people in attendance.  So, I'm curious if a black dress with some beading (not a lot) would be too formal or not.  You guys got any thoughts on this???

See, I do have a busy weekend ahead of me!  I don't even know if I'll be able to relax at all.  After last weekened, I'm really wanting to just plant my booty on the couch this weekend, but I am so thinking that isn't going to happen.  Oh well, the more I move, the more weight I might loose, right!?!

I've been such a slacker on my reading you guys.  I was reading so much and just wanting to do it all the time that now I'm bummed with myself that I'm not reading as I should.  I haven't even hit page 50 in my new book by Jennifer Wiener, "In Her Shoes".  I should be like half way through it by now... But I'm not.  Hmm, maybe that is what I'll try to do this weekend, catch up with my reading!!

Well, there is plenty to do today, so I guess I should be going.  I also don't have much else to really say.  I guess I'm being "Boring" as the AOL Journal Editor would say... lmao.  I hope I didn't bore you to sleep or to tears :o)

~Its HUMP Day~

                 

Isn't she just the cutest?  I know I've possibly posted this picture before, but it fits the context of my entry to the "T".

My daughter is going to be the next swim star to hit the Olympics, some many years down the road.  She is very much enjoying her new found talent of swimming with out her water wings.  I can practically see how proud of herself that she is when she comes up from the water!

Last night, she was going really deep in the water.  Probably to my mid-thigh (it is about 4ft deep in the shallow end) and then coming up with the biggest smile!  All together, I think she was swimming about 10ft from the step where she'd "push off" to myself or Derek.  She is sure perfecting her swim.  We were also trying to get her to come up for air in our "practing" yesterday evening.  She just holds her breath the whole time she is under water.  And we were trying to get her to realize that she needs to come up for air, that way she can keep on swimming!

She was a little hesitant.  I think her swimming on her own right now is hard enough... Poor thing needs to take it one step at a time!!

But goodness, am I proud of that Little Girl.

Yesterday I began my first day of swimming.  I was originally going to do about 40 or so laps, but I ended up doing 70.  I actually at 50 decided that I wanted to do about 100 or so, but Miss Rowan came out, so I had to stop.

It felt good though.  And boy, did I sleep good.  My muscles are a little sore, but hey, its all worth it in the end right?  :o)  I'm going to get in the pool again tonight... Hmm, how many laps shall I do??

Lets see, lets see, what else can I ramble on about??.

Oh yes!  My Little Man is cutting his first tooth, or I believe he possibly is.  The poor guy just hasn't been himself.  Kinda cranky... Way more drewly than he normally is and everything is going into his mouth to be chewed on.  He also has a runny nose and has a little white spot on his bottom gum... He is only 4 months old... Miss Ro didn't get her first tooth until she was 8mons old!!  I guess my little guy is just Gung-Ho on life and he just wants to get started... haha.

He is also almost all the way over, rolling over that is.  I think in the next week or so he'll figure it out.  He hasn't been wanting to be on his back lately- because he has been so cranky- so I'm thinking this weekend will have some special Back Time and Tummy Time!!  Whenever we put him on his tummy now, he holds himself up really well and tries to scoot around!!  What a strong boy he is :D

I'm feeling like crap you guys.  Ever since yesterday morning, I've had this scratchy throat, stuffy nose and a foggy head.  I thought it could have been from all the stress/lack of sleep from the 4th, but it is getting worse!  Me no likey... Mama is even not feeling great... Which isn't good for a couple of reasons.  One, because she is the 'babysitter' and Two, because with more than one person in the house sick, the more likely others will get sick too!!

Ugh, no fun!!
