~I Got Nothing~

Thats right.  I got nothing.

Heck, I really don't have much to say today either.

It seems that my brain has dried up like a grape in the sun.

Eww... Good visual huh?

How weird is it that I really can't think of much to write.

I feel like I bore people with my day-to-day "report" of sorts.

I don't know why I'm saying that... But that is just how I'm feeling right now.  Like I've got nothing 'important' to say.

Hmm, maybe I should span out my reports, er, my entries?

Anyways....

Rowan's dance class was once again a waste... At least in my eyes.  I know it isn't really a waste because she is having fun... But I just think they could have fun and learn all at the same time, ya know?  Shoot, there is Never a wasted minute in gymnastics class.

Seriously, they spend at least the first 10 mins of class on the floor "stretching".  Uh huh.  And yesterday, they spent a good 10-15 minutes trying to figure out where the girls should stand and then working on what kind of dance to do and what moves.

By the time they got working on the dance and were doing it for a minute or so, it was time for them put their tap shoes on.  They did tap for a whole ten minutes and then class was over...

Can you tell why I get frustrated?

Maybe I shouldn't, but I do.  Oh well.  Next time I will just take my book and stick my nose in it so that I don't pay attention.  The only reason why I didn't do that this time was because my dad came with us.

Oh well...

Life goes on!!

Just to let you know, Zachary is back to his old self.  Not only is he crawling up a storm (he is all over the house) but he is liking his food!!  This morning at 5am he had 8 ounces of formula!!  That is the most that he has ever had.

He has also been having two meals of solid (baby food) food each day... Or most days.  And the last two nights he has been sharing my pumpkin pie with me :)  I guess he has the Pickle Family Sweet Tooth too :)

My little boy is getting so big!!

Tonight my mom and I are going to get our nails done.  Then hopefully afterwards Derek and I will be taking the kiddos to the pumpkin patch.  I'm not sure if it will work out but we'll try.

If not, there is always next week.  Besides, if we carve the pumpkins they won't go bad before Halloween!!

Well folks, I'm empty.

Nothing more to say and I really don't want to bore you.

Have a wonderful Hump Day.

~Pickles~

Oh the pumpkin patch visit will be a blast for the kids and you two.  Hope you can get some fun pictures for us!!  Have a great day!!  Don't worry, from one mommy to another I JUST LOVE love your entries!  We write a lot alike except I think I write way way too much of every dang little thing.  Ha ha!!  I write about all the day to day stuff that probably no one in the whole world really cares about but it interests me and the other moms that stop in at my world.  I think I'm going to print my journal now.  It's really gotten to be long.  I can't believe how long I've been journaling.  So now it's like a family heirloom or something-Lol!  Hugs,
Lisa

sometimes when the kids are younger it takes alot of the teacher trying to get everyone in line instead of dancing u will see once they get the routine down ur fine

you need to say something about the dance class cause hwen it comes time for recital?  and it will?  some parents will be irritated if they have nothing to show for the money they spent on dance lessons...

you never bore me...and that may be cause I talk about the same things you do...lol...my kids...lol

I love your "reports"!  no stopping unles you feel you must, k?  I understand where you're coming from... I feel like that a lot, too.  It's like I WANT to write, and often about every little thing, but then I go to write and it comes out all wrong and I overthink it all and start feeling mopey and like no one will wanna read it all anyhow so why bother.  But, as you and some others have told me, you'd hate to see me go and stop writing, and that's how I, and I bet others,  feel about you.  My personal take on this  is that we're moms and we write about what goes on in our lives, day-to-day stuff, and if people are looking for BIG EXCITEMENT of the non-mommy variety, they need to go elsewhere.  Personally, I'm fasciated by other peoples day-to-day stuff, no matter how  like my own it is, because it's nice to have someone going through the same stuff, to feel less alone.  And reading your entries, and the comments you leave for me, makes ME feel less alone.  I love  hearing about what your beautiful baies are doing, and you describe everything so well, and you have such a neat perspective, I'd be sad not to hear about it all, and OMG, when you don't update for days, I go a lil nuts, gotta have my daily "Pickle Fix".  So, that having been said, I really hope you feel better soon.  Go have yummy junk food and chocolate to eat.  comfort foods are what they are for a reason.  Dr. Liz is also prescribing some time for yourself to be taken, do something you enjoy, even if it's just for a little while.  Hugs, Liz

At least Rowan is having fun at dance.

I like your entries. That is why I have you on my alerts!

I would be frustrated with the whole dance thing too.  You do pay for her to learn.  It will show come recital time too when they're the class that's all over the stage.  You can expect that to a certain extent with her age, but you can also tell who the good teachers are.

Sooooo glad Mr. Zach is back to his normal self!!!

You never bore me, Pickles :)

Ever...

I can understand why they don't make the kids dance, but if they have to spend class time figuring out how and where the kids should be and what to teach them~ find a new place~quickly!  I'd demand my money back, too...

They should already have their time choreographed and be prepared!  That is terrible.  Leave.  Leave and tell everyone how bad they are.

Glad Zach is back to normal :)

You don't bore us, hun.  Do you think we'd keep coming back again and again if you were boring?  I love to hear about you and the kiddos.

And yes, it does sound like Rowen's dance class could use a teacher with a little more decisiveness.  Is there anyone you can talk to about this?  It seems like an awful lot of money to pay for stretches.  <grin>

So glad to hear Zach is feeling better.  Autumn eats around 6 ounces of formula each feeding, average.  But there are times when she can hog down 8 ounces and want more.  LOL

Love,
b

I agree with everyone else. Hun, people DO have you on alerts for a reason. We love hearing about your life and the pictures of your adorable children are completely awesome. People read your journal because they care what you have to say, not because you bore us to tears. {{{HUGS}}} Don't stop writing hun, you do have a fan base out here that does care what happens in your life.

Also, I do agree that no child should be made to dance. The teachers do right by getting the child out of the way but they shouldn't waste all the other children's time by trying to make her dance. They also shouldn't waste the other children's time by not having their own ideas fully mapped out. Wasting time trying to figure out WHERE to put the children is much worse than trying to get them to STAY there. I'd find someone to talk to about the teachers lack of planning and the lack of actual teaching during class time. Anyone can teach Rowan to stretch but you're paying them to teach her to dance. Big difference there.

As for Mr. Zachary, so glad he's back to his old self. He sounds like a very happy baby Jenn. Good for you! As for the pumpkin pie..Oh YUM....the boy has GREAT taste. *Smiles* Can't wait till he starts walking, you're going to have a hard time keeping up with him then I think.

So, chin up, enjoy your nails getting done and taking time for you. Then make sure ya come back and let your loyal bordering on fanatical readers know what's new in the pickle jar. We'll be waiting. :-)
