I'm home today...
Why you ask?
Because my poor little girl Rowan woke up at mid-night, having to throw up...
And she has continued to throw up.
She can't keep anything down.
Not pedialite and soda mix... Not the water that she is so thirsty for after she pukes up... nothing.
She is running a good temp... Just about 100 degrees.
She is white as a ghost- perfect for Halloween, except it isn't Halloween- and she shakes like a leaf every time she throws up.
I feel so bad for her. And the control that little girl has over holding it until she can get to the toilet or the pot... Oh my, I swear, she is not 3 years old... Most 3 year olds would just throw up right were they are... Not her...
Oops, there she blows again....
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Okay, so not only is Rowan sick... Now I'm feeling icky too. I think it probably has to do with the fact that I didn't get any sleep last night and seeing her throw up... ewww... I'll stop now.
My mom just left to take Zach to the doctors too.
Poor thing has been pulling at his ears and being a cranky monster...
I hope that he doesn't have ANOTHER ear infection, but I won't be suprised that he does...
I'll let you all know how he is as soon as I can.
Miss Rowan is going to take up plenty of my time today... The poor thing.
Have a great HUMP DAY Friends...
POOR BABY I HOPE SHE GETS BETTER SHE HAS BEEN SICK ALOT THIS YEAR MAYBE SHE HAS A LOW IMMUNE SYSTEM. SHE PROBABLY NEEDS VITAMINS OR SOMETHING. ALL OF U GUYS HAVE BEEN SICK ALOT THIS YEAR I HOPE U ALL FEEL BETTER POOR ZACHARY
Dang girl! I'd have that pre-school checked out! It could be that she started school too late...usually kids who aren't exposed to other children from a very young age (6wks to 2 years) have weaker immune systems. This is going to happen on and off probably til next summer, but what would I know, I only watch 15 kids and have three of my own, and mine are always the last to get sick because their immunity is really strong from years of exposure. So, yeah, I know everything :)
Poor Row Row, I hate throwing up, I cry everytime! Give her a hug from Crazy Nae!
Oh, Jenn, Poor Ro..and poor you and Z too. Geez, that pre-school sure is doing a number isn't it? Hopefully this will, at least, strenghten her immune system for Kindergarten and maybe she won't get sick there as often. They always say those first years of school are hard.
Try to have a good day!
Make that, I know everything except how to get a kid to stop puking...or even make it to the damn toilet...ugh that Alex of mine.
She needs to drink or she'll dehydrate, but at the same time if she can't keep it down I'd refrain from giving her anything even liquids, unless she asks, just for a few hours. Sometimes the stomach needs to settle for awhile before it will accept anything.
AWWW ... poor Rowan! I hope that she feels better soon! Well you and Zach too!
Theresa
Aww poor kiddo. Hope she feels better soon.
Stupid Jimmy was home sick today too, or at least I had to come home early from work...So maybe Rowan and I watched the same cartoons? The poor Baby Girl, she has my sympathy for real!
I'm just confident knowing that her youth will help her bounce back really quickly. I just hope Mom doesn't come down with it too. (So cute how she "holds it" till she gets to the potty)
Anyway, lots of Get Well Soon wishes for little Rowan!
Jimmy
Oh I hope she feels better soon. There is nothing worse on a Mommy as seeing the little ones sick. I hope you aren't getting it either.
Hugs,
Heather
Awww man! I hate to hear when little ones are sick and that little Miss Rowan is so damned tiny that ANYTHING she gets seems to do her in. Give her lots of lovin from me okay???? You feel better too AND Wacky Zachy too.
Hugs to all of you,
Lisa
Hope you all feel better soon....
Hugss..~Terri~
Im sorry to hear that the babies are sick!!! (((HUGS))). I know that Rowan can't keep anything down, but when I was a kid my grandma used to give me warm Jello when I had an upset tummy and it seemed to help! All you do is mix it up in the bowl like you would if you were going to set it to mold, then give it to her. Have her just sip it every 15 minute or so and see if she can keep it down. Hope this helps!!
Poor miss Rowan!
I'm getting Gracie a flu shot this year... it has been rumored that 3-4 year olds will get it the worst this season.....
Better be safe than sorry!
Hope she is feeling better tonight :)
Keeping my fingers crossed for Zach's ears...
Oh Jenn,
I'm so sorry. You've been having a time with all those illnesses flying around the Pickle Jar. I really hope everything is fine soon and remains that way for a little while. You really deserve some rest and so do those darling kids of yours. Keeping you and yours in my thoughts hun and sending Get Well Soon wishes your way!
Sorry you're little one is feeling bad. Vomiting is so awful! I hope it doesn't turn out that you have it too. I work in the ER, and that vomiting/diarrhea thing is going around!
Take care..
Boy...you just aren't having any luck this fall, are you??? It seems like one sickness after another. Poor little Rowen. Nothing is worse than that nauseated, "I'm going to throw up feeling."
And surely it's not Zach's ears again! Poor little guy!
XO,
bridgett
