~Whew!~

Okay!  So, this will be my second attempt at this entry... The first time, I was in the middle and we had to shut our computers down to reboot our server!  Oh well... I guess that is what I get for doing my entries on "Pickle Time".

Anywho.  I can't believe how behind I am in my entries and reading other journals.  I did manage to sit down and read some this weekend, but I wasn't able to squeeze in time to do a Real entry in my own journal.

So, why was Jennifer so busy??  Well, I'll tell ya... Lets see, the better part of my 5 day weekend (YES! 5 day weekend!!) was spent taking care of my sickie daughter (will explain) and working on landscaping my front yard with my parents help (in more then one way!!).

See, we've lived in our house for just three years now... And see, our front yard was kind-of landscaped, with mish-mash flowers and plants- and don't forget the weeds- so it was about time we really landscaped our yard.

We were going for a Mediterranean type of look in the front yard, while our backyard is more of a trophical feel.  I didn't take any pictures of the Really pretty teal-green pots that are on my front porch, but I did take a picture of the part of my yard that is finished.
    Front.jpg

Here is the front.  There are a lot of pretty plants and flowers.  Plus, we'll be putting in some ground cover.  Here is a close up of our fountain.  It isn't the greatest picture because my camera battery was dying, so it is a little blurry.
     Fountain.jpg

Yes, those are lion heads on there... It is really pretty.  But man, is it Heavy!!  Heavy Heavy Heavy!!!  It took my mom, my dad and me to just move the middle round part.  Oh lordy...

So, we aren't done yet... But soon the rest of the yard will be looking pretty too.  I can't wait.  Thanks Mom and Dad for ALL of your help ;)

Anywho.  I also spent the weekend taking care of Miss Rowan.  See, after the graduation party we went to on Saturday, we came home and I noticed she was really warm.

Being the paranoid mother that I am (lol) I took her temperature.  Thank goodness I did, because it was 101!!  From then on, her temperature was anywhere from 100 to 103.5!  So, yesterday I took her to the doctor.  She checked her ears, her throat, her urine, everything really.  Yes, Rowan had to tinkle in a cup... And let me tell you, she was pretty darn proud of the fact that she did!!  She was telling anyone and everyone who would listen that she peed in a cup.  Haha.  Anyways, the doctor believes that she has some sort of viral infection.  She didn't want to start her on antibiotics yet... But if Rowan has her fever (which she still has today) for another 48-72 hours, she said to have her come back in.  I'm hoping that her fever stops soon!  That way, we won't have to do any kind of tests :(

                                My Princess... Washing Dishes...
    RoCleaningDishes.jpg

Rowan posing like she always does in her pictures...
    RoPosing.jpg

LMAO... She is sooo funny!  I just love that little girl.  I swear, you could be in a rotten rotten mood and she'll do something to make you laugh... It just warms your heart so much :D

Oh yea... I'll be posting some pics of the kiddos (besides what I have here) at my other journal, And One More Thing..., so when you get the alert for a new entry there, go check them out!

Mr. Zachary is doing really well.  I swear, he is putting on more and more weight every day!  If I'm not careful, he'll be outweighing his sister (34lbs) in no time!  Goodness... Check this picture out, it so shows how chunky he is...
    FatBoy.jpg

This picture was taken on May 13th, so a few weeks ago... So, you can imagine how much Chunkier he is Now... lol... My baby boy... What a cutie pie!!

We've been using our pool and spa so much lately.  Rowan is just loving swimming and wearing her floaties.  She is so proud that she can swim "on her own" that she made me take a picture of her the other day wearing them and her goggles.
                  RoandFloaties.jpg

Isn't she the cutest thing?  I am hoping that she grows up to be just like her Mommy to want to swim and play water polo :)  Haha... Who knows, she will do what SHE wants to do.  I'm not about to force her into anything she doesn't want to do, just because I want her to.

Well, I'll leave you all with a few more pictures... Don't forget to go check out the other journal and see what other ones that I have over there :)

    SittingupinBoppy.jpg

My Little Man, "sitting" by himself.  This is how we are making him Stronger to be able to sit on his own.

And last but definetly not least... A picture of my Smilie Boy!!
SmilieBoy.jpg

Have a great Tuesday all... And One More Thing... check out more pictures!

Update on Rowan:  Her fever has broke.  Whew... Or double Whew... Whatever.  I'm glad it is gone!  But of course, what happens once the fever breaks??  She busts out with a Rash.  Eww... Oh well... I guess her body has a right to.  Sheeze.  It was on "HEAT" for a few days straight :)  She is all better now, thats about it!!  Oh Yeah!!  Don't forget to head over to my other journal and see all the pics I posted :D

~Let Me Clarify~

The kiddos and I will be going to Washington State...

Not Washington, D.C.  <<Even though that would be a

pretty cool trip too>>

Thanks to everyone for passing on their knowledge on

flying with Childrens :)

I'll be back later with a real entry...

~Quick Question~

       PeterPanFlyAway.gif

I'm thinking of taking a trip to Washington in July with my friend Amy and the kiddos to visit a friend from High School that also has kids the same age as Ro and Zach.

Of course we'll be flying and I know I'll have to buy a ticket for Rowan, but will she have to have some kind of ID to check in with?

I'm sure all you Mommies out there that have flown with their kiddos know, can you help me out??

                     Thanks a Bunch.... Jenn

~Lalallalallaaaa~

                 pinkyjewelly.jpg

Okay, today is a new day and I'm in a much better mood than I was yesterday.  I swear, I was going to POP because I was frustrated with everything... From work, to my husband, I was going insane!

But now I am better... See, I even put a really pretty butterfly in my entry to show how happy I am!

Oh yes, WW went Ok yesterday.  I'm pretty much the same weight I was last week.  confused.gifWhich I'm kind confused on because I've been really good on my points and I've been exercising... Oh well.  Today begins a new week, I guess I'll just have to do better!

I did get to go swimming yesterday!  Actually, Rowan, my friend Amy and I all got to do some laps in the pool.  Derek was pretty smart and decided he'd heat the pool up to 82 degrees so Ro could go in it... So, I took that as a sign that I should get in the pool and do some laps!  It was really warm outside, pretty much 90 degrees, so the water was just right!  I did about 25 laps and then played with Rowan for a bit.

Her YaYa picked up some floaties (the arm kind) at Target yesterday, so I decided to make her try to swim that way, instead of using her vest.  Let me tell you, she wasn't hot with the idea at first, but after she figured out that she could swim really easily, she was all over the place!

YES!  She finally felt comfortable again in the water.  I couldn't have been happier!  She even jumped off the wall... Which it took her most of last summer to get comfortable with... Oh, she is getting so big!!

Let me tell you, after she did some laps (for not using her arms much, she is fast!!) she was HUNGRY!  Heck, so was I... haha... And last night was a really good dinner too.

We had turkey burgers, asparagus and salad.  Yum Yum... I wasgood too, because I didn't use any mayo or cheese on my burger.  So, my whole meal was like 8 points!  Hehe... Thats a good thing!

Last night was the "One Tree Hill" finale.  Argh!!  I was so frustrated while I watched it... Can they NOT make any one person on that show happy!?!?!  Gosh, I was ticked... lol.  I was like, "Come ON!!!  Lets see one stinking smile on this show!!!"  I guess I will just have to wait until the fall to see what happens, huh?

This afternoon, I'm going to go home and do some more laps in the pool... Then I'm going to watch "The Contender" finale that I DVR'd last night!  So, SSSSHHH, don't tell me what happened!!  And then I'm going to plop my fat ass on the couch and not move ;)  I am going to watch the American Idol finale... So, who do you all think is going to win?? Huh Huh??

Well, I'm going to go make me some Low Fat Eggo Waffles and grab me some Low Fat Cottage Cheese for my breakfast and then actually do some work :)

I hope you all have a wonderful Hump Day...

~One of Them Days~

My patience is shot...

                   Girrribit.gif

Thats about all I have to say...

:P::::::

~Just Another Day~

KidandUpsidedowncat.jpgThis is definitely Rowan.  Okay, so maybe it isn’t, but it is close to being her.  I swear, she loves to tote our cat around.

Now, this cat is extremely fat, so it isn't an easy thing to do.  Right now, I'd have to say he weighs a good 12lbs, and that is after loosing a bit of weight being on "Weight Control" food.

Poor Badge, he doesn't know any better either when he swats at her... All he knows is that he wants her to let him go!!

Anyways.

Today is weigh in for Weight Watchers.  I hope that I've done good.  I can't really tell by my body right now, but if anything, I've surely lost some water weight!

I'm drinking so much water- which means I'm making frequent trips to the potty- so, hopefully, if anything that will help!

I just hope that I don't get on the scale and have this happen : ZiggyOops.gif

Isn't he just the cutest little thing?  I just don't hope that I copy him... lol...

After WW, I have to go grocery shopping.  I don't like to do that much, but because I won't have the kiddos (they are home with Daddy today), it will make it much easier.  Miss Rowan is always wanting this and that... And she HAS TO HAVE her chocolate milk, each and everytime we go there.  And if she knows you are going to the store, she asks you to bring one home!  She is so silly.

I'm thinking tonight will be turkey burgers for dinner.  They are so good and better for you than regular hamburgers.  And suprisingly, my husband- who is a Meat and Potatoes kind of guy- likes them too!

This week is going by so slowly.  I want it to be Thursday all ready. But tonight is a good night for TV.  Tonight is the finale of "The Contender" and the season finale of "One Tree Hill".  And it sucks, because they are on at the same damn time!  So, you know one of them will be DVR'd while we are watching the other!

Oh!  Last night I just about had a heart attack when I opened my mail.  I got a bill from the Medi-flight company that took Zach from Modesto to Sacramento.  Well, at the bottom of the bill, highlighted, it says, "Your Insurance Company has paid its part, the remaining balance Is Your Responsibility!"  I just about started crying, because the amount was outrageous.  The total bill had been just about $13,000.  Well, my insurance company only paid $9,100.00 of it.  Yeah, so my 'remaining balance' was $3,145.75!!  Uh, like I have that money just sitting around my house!!

So, I just started to freak out.  My mom tells me to calm down and just call my insurance company.  To make a long story short, I am not going to have to pay anything (thank god) and that my insurance company pays more than most, and they found the bill to be very high!  Can we say inflation??

Yeah, so, I was freaking out... But it is all good!

I want to go swimming!!  I think that tonight, if it is warm enough, I'm going to go jump into the pool and do some laps!!

Sounds good, eh?  I think so.  It is supposed to be around the low 90's today, so, maybe by the time I get home, the pool will be a bit warmer!

Well, I've got some stuff to do.

I know, I know... Why work when you're at work??

Hahaha...

Have a wonderful day, friends!

~I Lied~

                  MarvintheMarshinonspaceship.jpg

Okay, so I said I was done with the "Interview Me" thingy... But because Jimmy thought my answers to his questions would be so great, I just had to prove him right :)

So, Mr. Stupidsheetguy (aka Jimmy) asks:

1). You're granted an entire weekend to do exactly and only what YOU want to do with it. What do you choose?

*I know this might sound cheesy, but I'd love to spend the whole entire weekend with my family.  All of us, all together, not worring about if someone has to go to work, not worring about chores or other stuff... Just me, my hubby, and the kiddos.  Doing what ever comes to mind and not having to worry about a single bit of it... Going for walks, swims, drives... Whatever it may be... ::cheesy I know::

2). What can make you cry from happiness?

*Looking at my kids can make me cry from happiness.  With all that happened with Zach, I can just merely look at him playing or smiling and I'm about ready to spill over with tears.  Rowan can just tell me in her sweetest voice, "I lub you Mama" and I'm abour ready to sob... Simply thinking about my kids makes me wanna cry, they make me that happy!

3). You get to choose a) a guaranteed lifetime of happiness OR b) a lifetime supply of money. Which one?

*This one is pretty easy... Money doesn't equal happiness, in fact, I've seen plenty of examples of unhappy people with plenty of money... So, I'd pick the lifetime of happiness...

Thanks for asking these great questions Jimmy... I truly enjoyed them!!  I love answering all of everyone's questions too... If anyone missed out on asking some questions and feel like you wanna, I'm still game :)

~Ramblings From the Burnt Girl~

                         in-the-clouds.gif

I'm burnt...

I'm not just sun burned, but I'm burnt out... Tired that is.

I think all my time spent in the sun yesterday just wore me out...

I'm not used to it, yet.

Give me a few more days of this new found heat and I'll surely be used to it :D

Yep, you heard me correctly.  HEAT is finally here!!

We are looking at 90 degrees for the rest of the work week!!  I can't believe it.  That means we'll be able to use our pool even more!!  Woo Hoo!!

Yesterday, my mom, Rowan, my best bud Amy and I went to Oakdale (The Cowboy Capital) to the Chocolate Festival there!!

Yep!  The Chocolate Festival...

It is put on by Hershey's and a few other local big wig companies.  But because there is a Hershey plant in Oakdale, it is really focused around that- the chocolate I mean.

You can find anything that revoles around chocolate there.  Chocolate covered bananas or strawberries.  Brownies, toffee's, chocolate chip cookie "pizzas"... Yum Yum!!

I was good of course.  I didn't endulge in anything... Miss Rowan did get a chocolate covered rice krispie treat, dipped in M & M's!  She loved it... And let me tell ya, her face was covered in chocolate!!  Lol...

She was sure tired after we walked all over though.  By the time we got back from there and the grocery store (where she went Coo-Coo!!) she was very ready for her nap.  Thankfully she didn't fight it and was out in the matter of 10 mins or so.

After she got up from her nap, we all went into the spa.  She is finally starting to get comfortable with the water again.  She is still not wanting to take her vest off and try to swim on her own- which breaks my heart because I'm such a water person!!

I want her to be just like her Mommy- be on the swim team and water polo team!!  But I gotta remember, she is still just three... lol.

Hmm, what else, what else?

Oh!  I'm getting stricter with my diet.

See, in July, I'm going to a wedding of a guy who I went to high school with.  Well, there will be plenty of people that I went to school with there, so I want to go and feel good about myself and not wonder in the back of my head if they are saying stuff like, "Oh my god, look at how fat she is" or "What happened to her!?"

I know.  I know.  I just had a baby (3 months ago, yesterday!!) and I have to let my body go back and it will take time, but I don't want to go there and be uncomfortable.

I am also getting sticter for myself... Don't think I'm just doing it for that wedding reason.  I want to loose the weight and the only way I will is if I'm not cheating or being slack about it... You know, sneaking a cookie and not counting points!

Plus, I'm dead serious about excersising!!  It definetly gives you a natural high... Even if it is hard to do it, it surely makes you feel better in the end.  I was actually contemplating getting up extra early some mornings and going for a walk/run...

But I don't know how smart of an idea that is :)  Going by myself isn't probably the smartest thing to do...

Okay!

Well, because I am having to do some extra stuff today at work, I'm going to cut this a little shorter than normal.  I know, I've rambled onplenty, but it is shorter than my normal (what ever that might be) entries!

I hope everyone has a wonderful Monday...

~Another Quickie~

Okay, I'm going to give another quick entry to you all...

Even though it is pretty early (just barely 830am) on this Saturday morning, I have plenty to do.

Yesterday was a pretty lazy day.  I didn't get to swim again (bummer) because it was pretty windy and my ear was hurting from the cold water the day before.  Swimming is also out for today too, because I don't have anyone to watch the kiddos while I do a few laps.

Around noon, the kids and I are heading over to my SIL's house to have a kiddy play date :)  lol... We are going to take the kids down to the park (the same park Laci Peterson supposedly went missing at!!! yeah, right!!) so they can play on the giant play stuff there... Then we'll give them some lunch and hang out for a bit more...

We don't get together too often, so it will be nice to see them.  Besides, Rowan loves to play with her cousin, Morgan... She calls her her "Friend"... Aww, how sweet is that?

Derek is working today... As usual.  Oh well... He'll have 4 days off during the week.  I think we'll be doing a BBQ on Thursday night with all of us (D, the kids, and my parents) here at the house.  That will be nice, since it will be close to 90 degrees out side!!

Yes, that is what I said... 90 degrees!!  WOO HOO... Its about freaking time!!

Oh, Zachary is starting to sit up on his own!  Yes, I said it... Don't you think that is a little early?  I do... Rowan didn't sit up on her own until she was 4.5 months old.  Zach is a little wobbly, but is getting so strong!!  Goodness, what next?  Crawling??

Okay, well Zach is getting a little impatient with me and my typing at the computer and not paying attention to him, so I better go give him some!  Oh!  He slept from 10-730am last night!!  Alright!!!  Thats my big boy!!

I hope each and everyone of you has a great weekend!

HUGS,
Jenn

PS.  Oh, a new reader, Cheryl asked what Curves was... Curves <---- click!

~Friday Afternoon Quickie~

Just wanted to drop in and do a quickie entry.

Thought I'd do it while I had the time.  Zach is playing on his play mat and Rowan is munching down on some chips... lol.

Nothing much has happened between yesterday and today.

My neice (she was there with her mom) and I left work early to go meet my mom and pick up the kids.  From there it was to McDonald's to get lunch.  I was bad... I admit it.  I had their chicken strip meal... Yes, it included the fries :)

Boy, did my body tell me that it was wrong for me to eat that... Ewww... I felt nasty for the rest of the day!

Rowan and I went in the spa in the evening.  And then while I was in there, I got a hair up my booty and decided that I was going to swim!  Yep.  I jumped into the pool (a whole 74 degrees) and decided I was going to do some laps.

I miss swimming/water polo so much.  It has been forever since I was on a competitive team and I miss the excersise that comes with it.  Plus, I miss the body that came with the excersise.

So, I did 200 yards- twenty laps- and then treaded water for 10 mins.  Yep, that means all legs, no hands.  After I finished, I felt so good.

I felt that I had actually done something good for my body... I plan on doing it more too.  The only thing was, my ears don't like to be that cold and they were sure telling me when I was done with my laps.

I'm thinking I'm going to do 20 laps for 5 days and then move up 25 laps... and so on and so on.  When I was in swimming, I'd do about 1800 yards (or more) a day... Not to mention treading for more than 30 minutes in a time!

My friend Amy and I also plan on going back to Curves!  I'm determined to get my body back to some of what it was a few years ago... And the diet and excersise will help me a lot!!

Not too much else is going on.  My day has been just pretty much hanging out today onthe couch... But if the wind dies down later, I'm going to jump in the pool- as long as someone is home to watch the kiddos.

I think I might go out tonight ith my friend Amy.  I want to go to Kohl's and do a bit of shopping.  I got a $75 gift card for my birthday from my in-laws, so I might use that.  If I don't do that, the evening will be spent here at home with the kids and my parents... Nothing wrong with that though, I like it :)

Okay, well, I'm at a loss of words right now.  So, I'm going to go do something productive and do laundry!  Woo Hoo for Me.

Have a great Friday all...
~Pickle~

~Eh~

           Fairywithflowersonblackbackground.gif

Only 4.5 hours and then it is my weekend!!  Oh yeah, baby.

I can’t wait.  I am getting very antsy lately… I have no patience and no drive to keep my mind focused on anything.

I had a hard time just getting ready for work.  I forced myself out of bed, because I knew I had to get up, but I would have just loved to lay there all day long.

Weird this is, I would never want to be a SAHM.  Being home with my kids all day would more than likely drive me crazy!!

Yesterday I had to go outside and take a break...

I went out on the front porch with my book on Wicca (thank you Lisa for all the suggestions- I'm finding it VERY interesting!!) to just get away for a moment and take a deep breath.

Well, I'm sitting in my chair in front of my frontroom window and all of the sudden, I hear this big sigh.  I turn around and find Rowan, standing at the window (inside) just staring at me.  I couldn't do anything but laugh and go inside and give her a big hug!!  I really wish I had a camera at that moment, because the face she had was just so sad.... But funny all at the same time.

Just gotta love my baby girl...

needcoffee.gif On my way to work this morning I had to stop at Starbucks... Just had to... The diet pepsi I had, just wasn't working and I needed a 'fix'... lol!!  Well, I got a Venti Non-Fat Latte with one sweet-n-low (3 WW points) and a slice of their reduced-fat Cinnamon Swirl Cake... Goodness, both were very good. starbucks.gif

I'm addicted to those drinks.  I stopped and got one on my way home yesterday!

Last night, after we had dinner (porkchops in the mushroom gravy), Derek, the kids and I went to his parents house to visit for a bit.  We spent about an hour and a half there, visiting with his mom and dad, and his mom's cousins.  His mom also suprised us with a few things for the baby!!  She had been at Target earlier in the day and picked up 3 25oz cans of formula and 2 big packs of diapers for Zach!!  Oh my gosh, I couldn't believe it!!  That saved us some cash... Oh yeah it did.  All of that put together is about $100 worth of stuff ($23 for each can of formula and $17 for each bag of diapers)!! Now I don't have to worry about formula for about 2 weeks or so!!  Let me tell you, her doing that was greatly appreciated...

Today I have to leave work early.  My mom has a hair appointment at 1pm and Derek is working today, so I get to leave to go watch my own kiddos :)  I don't mind really... I kinda want to head out now, but I'm going to stay.  lol.

Okay, so I guess I got another question to answer :)  Miss Barbie decided she wanted to get in on the action and ask a question... Hers is a freaking brain thumper though!!

Barbie asks:

They say everybody will find at least 15mins of Fame. If this were to be your only 15mins, what would you like to be known, by the world, for doing? -First thing that comes to mind, Pickle, no cheating! hehehe, weee..............

~I would definetly want to be known for helping keep kids off the streets... Away from drugs and gangs.  I've seen way too much heartache in my 23 years from kids getting into the wrong way of life.  I would love to find a way to provide things for the 'at risk' kids of the nation/world to keep them from going the wrong direction...

Is that a good answer??

I think so... And it was the first thing that popped into my mind, promise :)

Well, I better go.  Time to shuffle some papers before I leave for the day... lol... Hopefully everyone has a great Thursday!

::Love and Hugs::

~A Few Answers~

Okay... I guess not too many people are into this "Interview Me" thing (phooey on you!!) so I'm going to answer the last set of questions from Kathi and then move on :)

                    californiaplate.gif

Kathi asks:

If you had to leave California and locate to another state, where would it be and why?
~ If I EVER had to leave California - I don't want to- I'd probably want to move to Oregon or somewhere back East.  Oregon has great weather and beautiful land.  I would love to live closer to the ocean if I lived in Oregon... But I don't wanna move and I'm SOO NOT planning on it!!

Do you think you and Derek will have more babies?
~You know, truthfully, I don't know.  We are still young and what not, but I'd like to be able to provide a nice life for my children and the more kids, the less stuff each one gets.  But if it is in the plans for us to have another, then I'm sure we'll love to have one!  ::hehe::

Do you have a favorite article of clothing?
~Flip Flops!!  I love flip flops and these cropped sweat-type material pants I got a Target.  But other than that, my favorite article of "clothing" are my Dooney and Bourke purses!!  ::lmao::

I guess that is it for the question thingy... Oh well... Maybe a few months down the road or what not and I'll maybe throw it out there again!  Haha...

Have a great day...

~Hump Day, Once Again~

                         LittleGirlAngelatGate.jpg

Isn’t this picture just adorable?  I really miss when Rowan was that young and when she was chunky… It made her look little, like a baby.  Now she is Miss Skinny Pants!

Just an example of how skinny she is, yesterday, her Daddy and her went into the spa.  I told her to go put her bathing suit on, so she goes into her room to get dressed and comes out with a two piece that I know is way old.  She gets it one and when I am helping her put the top on, I look at the tag!!  It says, 12-18mons!!!!

Holy Cow... What a skinny miny... It was a little tight, but she had no problem putting it on... Isn't that funny!?

ThankYou.gif All for all the wonderful comments about my anniversary!!

Last night, my husband made such a wonderful dinner for our anniversary!!  I swear, sometimes I think he should quit being a cop and become a chef!!

He made stuffed chicken breasts (that were prestuffed from the meat market), fresh green beans with bacon, and this potato dish.  The potato stuff was kinda like a twice backed potato, but different.  It was potatoes chopped up, then boiled for a bit to make them tender.  Then he put them in a dish with milk, butter, sour cream, cheese, bacon and green and french onions on top!!

Holy moly were they sinful... But oh so good... He also made chocolate covered strawberries for dessert and had chilled champange!

One of the best things about our dinner last night was that we were all by ourselves... kinda.  Rowan was taking a late nap and Zach was in his bassinet, being a good boy, so it was just Derek and I at the table!  How awesome is that?

He even lit candles and had a strawberry in my glass of champange...

Lets all say, ::awwww:: together now :D

Anyways, enough mushy gushy stuff...

GilmoreGirlsBlinkie.gif Did anyone catch "Gilmore Girls" last night??  Wow, it was a good one.  I can't wait for the season to come back, whenever that is!!  I won't ruin the episode for anyone who Tivo'd or DVR'd it... But it was good...

Oh!!  Yesterday was weigh in for me at Weight Watchers!!  I'm sure you can tell from all the !!'s that I did pretty good.  I'm down another 1.2lbs.  Woo Hoo for me!!  Only another 45lbs to get to my first goal weight!!  lol... Wow, that is a lot of weight... ouch!!

I'm heading in the right direction... Yes, I am!!

Hmm... What else do I have running around in my crowded little mind to spill out to you all here?

Oh!  Zachary is such a great sleeper... Yes, you can be jealous of me :)  lol... He slept from 1015-ish last night until 6am once again!  Mind you, he woke up starving, demanding to be fed!!  And once again, the chunk-a-monk ate pretty close to 6 ounces!!  Wow... He'll be 15lbs before I know it!

He is also trying to sit up alone and roll over.  I'm thinking he is pretty close to trying some 'real' food too.  I'll wait a few weeks, just because I don't want to start him too early (he is 12wks old now!!), but he is sure into watching us eat!  Last night I was eating a chocolate coverd strawberry while he was sitting on my lap, and oh goodness, he was following every move and sitting there with his mouth open!!

It was just too cute!!

Rowan is being a good girl lately.  Not throwing too many fits or whining too much.  I think she realizes that mommy and daddy aren't going to go anywhere and when we leave, we'll come back.  She has also grown accustom to my parents being there with us.

Last night, she slept with my mom... lol... Something different.  But she did tell me she'd sleep in her room tonight!  haha... Wonder if she'll remember that when it comes time to put her down.  She has a steel trap for a brain, but only things she wants to remember stay in... ::isn't that how it always is?::

Ugh.  I'm in a funky mood today.  I can't seem to wrap my mind around anything today (in fact, yesterday too).  I don'twant to be at work and I don't want this icky weather anymore!!  Yep, it is threatening to rain, once again... Me no likey!!  I just want the sun, it helps with moods huh?

Well, I'm going to run.  Don't have much else to say today... Thats new.  Just think, the week is almost over!!  Yippee....

                     I am bored...

                     I am bored...

                     I am bored...

                     I am bored...

thought I'd share this tid-bit of

info with you...
You know you wanted to know

~Dawn's 20 via Barbie~

           WaterFairy.gif

Bummed this off of Barbie of "A Ticket to Ride" who got it from Dawn and her journal "Everything Under the Sun"...

1. What's your favorite store to go shopping in?

I just love Target... You can find just about anything there and pay a whole lot less than some stores!

2. What was/is your favorite subject in school?

My favorites were History and Agriculture...

3. You got to spend a week in a fellow bloggers' hometown so where do you go and what do you do?

I'm going to have to go with either Barbie's hometown, which is San Diego or visit Lisa's of Lisa's Mommy Journal because she is very close to Salem, MA.  San Diego would be great just because of the weather and we can play at the beach... And going to Salem, Ma. is just something I've wanted to do for forever and Lisa knows all about that place and the history... Plus, Lisa says she lives in beautiful country and I've never been to the East Coast.  And at either place, I'm

4. What's the grossest TV dinner you've ever had?

This isn't necessarly a dinner, but I got a salad at a wedding once andas I was digging into it to eat it, I stabbed my fork into a bug!!  Ewww, nasty... I guess it really was a fresh salad huh??

5. If you could go back in time and meet one historical figure who'd you pick?

Hmm... Hard one... I'm going to have to say Ben Franklin, just because he had so much to do with founding our nation.

6. Name one bad habit you wish you could break?

Biting my nails... I know, its horrible... But I'm slowly getting better :)

7. Who was your lease favorite teacher in school?

Mrs. Wilkinson.  Oh My Goodness... She was horrible.  First of all, she taught (still teaches!!) geometry- eek!!- and she was just batty... I had the hardest time in that class, not to mention the rest of the class struggled too... But she was just not all there in her head!  She would just break down and cry for now reason (weird!) and she had a habit of licking her fingers to wipe off the over head sheets and then get the ink ALL OVER her face!!  ::shudder:: I don't miss that class!

8. Have you ever stolen anything?

Does change out of the washer count??

9. What's your current favorite band?

Goodness... I really don't know... I like a lot of songs from different bands, but I would have to say Gwen Stefani (does that count as a band??)

10. What talent do you most wish you had?

::evil grin:: I'd love to be able to read peoples minds, only when I wanted to though...  ::evil laugh::

11. Who would you most like to spend the day with at this moment?

My Hubby, since today is our 2 year wedding anniversary...

12. List three blogs you read.

I read a lot of them... usually all the ones on my Other Journal list... But to play along I read:

"A Ticket to Ride"
"A Day in the Life of Me, Take Two" (but she's Private)
and one of the newest ones,
"Livin' la Vida Mommy"

13. Whose your favorite painter?

Don't really know... I'd have to think about this one...

14. Whose your favorite author?

Anne Rice is one of my favorites, J.K. Rowling (yes, Harry Potter's 'mum') is another and now I'm searching for a new author to like...

15. What do you feel is the most important quality in a friend?

Trust and the quality to stick with you through it all... Loyalty I'm thinking...

16. Have you started watching any new TV shows?

"Grey's Anatomy" is a pretty good one... And "The Contender"... just love it!

17. What TV show do you feel should be canceled immediately?

Um... Couldn't tell ya...

18. Log cabin or Beach-front Condo?

I would love to live in the woods... In a log cabin... As long as my family was close though!!

19. If you could design the perfect outfit for yourself what would it look like?

Something comfortable, but nice looking... not frumpy on me... I'd love a nice pair of slacks and shirt- something timeless...

20. If you could add one room onto where you live what kind of room would you add?

A game room/bar... Derek and I would love to have our own bar type room where we can play pool, talk and serve up drinks... We have the room in our heads already and how we'd decorate it too!!

Thanks Gals, this was fun... If any of you decide to play (you know you wanna), please leave me a link if you do... I want to know the answes to your questions!!

~May 17th, 2003~

                Couplekissing.gif

Today marks my second wedding anniversary with Derek.

                        LoveMyHusband.gif

We were married May 17, 2003, at 430pm at Ceres Christian Church.  The ceremony was short and sweet- just the way we like them- and filled with love and fun!  It wasn't a big wedding, 4 bridesmaids and groomsmen, our two nieces as junior bridesmaids, a friends son and daughter as ring bearer and flower girl... And of course, Miss Rowan, as a junior flower girl, walking down the isle all by herself at 16months old...

I was hoping that I would have been able to scan a picture of our wedding party to share with you all... But I didn't get to it last night!  I'm such a slacker... Maybe tonight I can get to it :)

We aren't doing much to celebrate.  Just going to have a quiet dinner at home with the kids and watch some TV- "Gilmore Girls" and "One Tree Hill" are on tonight, and he'll watch them, just for me... hehe...

                            Happy Anniversary Derek...
I love you with all my heart...
                                Forever and Always...

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~

So, I don't know what is going on, but I'm not getting all of my comment alerts.  I am getting some, but not all of them.  Weird huh?  But I did get a few questions for my "Interview Me" thingy...

Denielle over at This is Me asks:

How did you and your husband meet and get together?
Well, Derek and I met while he was working at a local Savemart, even though he went to the same school as I did, just a year ahead.  The first time we had any interaction was when my mom and I were shopping there, he happened to walk down the isle we were walking up, and I reached to get some tinfoil I happened to knock a few off the shelf.  Well, he started making fun of me and my mom jumped in!  From then on, everytime we shopped there, he helped us out and chatted us up.  The next year, we started to 'hang out'... lol... Even if I had a boyfriend.  Yep, thats right!  I just was a naughty girl and was drawn to him... Hmm, wonder why that is how we got hooked up and eventually married :)  We really didn't get together until November of 2000 when he was in the police academy and I was in Jr. College.  And as they say, the rest is history...

If you could change one thing about your life- what would it be?
I would definetly change the fact that I don't have a formal education- as in no college degree... But that is about it... It would mean that I could possibly have a change in my career and make more money... But hey, I'm actually happy with who I am and what I do...

A new commenter in my journal Baseballkat86 asks:

What kind of cars do you and your husband drive?
My husband drives a black and white (lol) 2005 Tahoe that has Ceres Police Department emblem on the side and says "K-9 Unit"... While I drive a 2004 PT Cruiser... I would love, love a Honda Pilot or Tahoe, but just can't afford that right now, bummer deal :(

Vernae over at Pieces of Me-Revisited asks:

Ever dye your hair black?
Nope, can't say that I have... Only dark brown.

Ever go para-sailing?
Nah ah.  I would love to.  Just haven't had the chance!

Have you thought about re-locating to a more predictable climate?
Derek would love to move out of California.  He has this want/need to live in Vegas and work for Vegas PD.  But I'm not about to move away... I need and want to live close to my family.  I don't think it would be fair to our kids or family to move away... So, no, I haven't... Although I'd love to know what the weather would be like for more than a day at a time... lol...

(Speaking of which, today is supposed to be 75 degrees, rain tomorrow and this weekend is supposed to be in the 90s!!)

I'm still open to more questions... If any of you want to ask some more, jump on the chance now... You never know if I will play this game again... muahahahha...

~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*

Well, I can't think of much else right now... Nothing new really at the Pickle house.  I think I'm going to bum off Dawn's 20 from Barbie and do that as my next entry... lol... So, stay tuned to see that :)

Have a great Tuesday all...

~Monday Photo Shoot~

                        Your Monday Photo Shoot:
Show off a graduation ceremony of someone you know and love. Kids, parents, spouses, friends -- even yours. Show off that cap and gown and diploma that says "you made it!"

                   blytheandiatgrad20005zm.jpg

This is Megan and Blythe... Two really good friends from our graduation from Ceres High School in 2000.  Obviously, they are twins :) With Megan on the left and Blythe on the right... We are still good friends to this day, Miss Rowan calls them Auntie Megan and Auntie B.  I can't believe that it has been 5 years since graduation...

If you play along this week, please leave me a link so I can check it out!

::Hugs::

~Interview Me~

I've seen a few journals with the "Interview Me" thing going on, so I thought I'd play along again... (did the 3 question thing awhile back)...

So, if you have any questions you are dying to ask or just curious about something, come on and ask...

I have to say, I might not answer all questions, just depending on the nature of the questions (a while back, some do-do asked about 'how it really was to live with a cop- to tell the truth, does he beat you' and other shite like that)... So, keep that in mind :)

Have fun asking away... I'm sure I'll have fun answering!!

~It is May, Right?~

                      RainGoAwayTooCuteSnag.gif

Okay, it is May 16th right?  So, what the hell is up with it raining still??  I swear, it poured last night and there are threats of Thunder Showers for today!  Living here in the Central Valley can sure swing the weather one way to another!

Just an example of this crazy weather, Saturday (My Birthday!!) was pretty close to 90 degrees!  Then yesterday, it was a humid-muggy day that sat around 75 degrees until about 7pm when the temperature started to drop pretty quickly, although it stayed humid.  Around 9pm it was about 65 degrees and just pouring outside... Pouring, Pouring, Pouring!

I'm also very tired this morning.  Very typical for a Monday morning I guess.  But I was up a few times last night.  We lost power, I'm guessing from the storm or something, around 12am.  Well, Derek and I both woke up from the HEAT in our bedroom... No power means no ceiling fan blowing on high!  Thankfully, the power came back on around 1240am and we were able to fall back to sleep with ease... Although, it was pretty muggy and sticky from then on.  Then Mr. Zach decides that he wanted to eat at 4am!  Goodness, I don't blame him though.  The last time he had eaten was around 9pm last night!!  So, he was very hungry!!  By the time I fell back to sleep (around 445am) I had only another hour to sleep before I had to get up for work!  I'm tired... ::yawn::

Lets see... What else can I ramble on about...

Oh yeah, the wedding on Saturday was very nice.  Different, but nice.  The food was great and I did really good with portions and what I ate :) (I'm getting good at this diet thing)... When we got home, we found out that Zachary had been dealing with a 101 degree temperature because of his shots that he got the day before...

Poor baby.  He was just laying in my moms lap with just a diaper on!  He didn't seem too cranky or anything.  He had been sleeping pretty much all day... But he just wasn't himself.  I swear, I will be worring about that little boy for just about anything- but I think I have a pretty good reason to worry, don't you?

He did better yesterday though.  Was awake more and just being his happy go lucky self.  He did sleep a little bit more than usual and ate a little bit less (until around 9pm) but he was doing better!

Yesterday my family and I celebrated my birthday.  Derek, Rowan, my brother and I went to breakfast at IHOP yesterday morning.  Then around 2pm, my mom and I went down to the local street faire type of thing.  It was okay... And I was able to pick up my best friend's birthday present!  My mom and I found a stand selling home made soaps and lotions, so I picked a few of those out for her... See, I am really late on her bday (it was back in March, but we were in Sac with Zach), but because she was coming over to help celebrate my birthday, I thought I'd get her a gift too!

We didn't spend much time down at the faire, just because there wasn't much to see and we wanted to get back and go sit/swim in the spa.  Plus, my dad was at home watching Zach and Rowan (who was napping).

I was able to request what I wanted for dinner last night!!  Woo Hoo!!  The diet was so out of the picture yesterday, let me tell you!  Actually, it wasn't that bad, but I was a little naughty.  I requested lemon chicken (not the asian kind), mashed potatoes and veggies!  Goodness it was yummy.  Then for dessert, it was an ice cream cake from Baskin Robins!

Mint Chocolate Chip with Chocolate Cake... Oh yeah baby :)

SO, you know that I'm so back on my diet today!  lol... Gotta be good... Gotta be good...

::yeah Jennifer, keep telling yourself that::

Yesterday was another vigil for the fallen police officer from Ceres Police Department.  Derek came home sad again, but I can't blame him.  The vigil was on the news and plenty of their officers (including Derek) were on TV once again... The other officer that was injured during the shooting actually made an appearance... You can read about that here >>click here<<  I don't know if that (God forbid) I ever lost Derek that I could make apperances like Howie's widow does... She makes it to every vigil and every CPD gathering.  One strong woman she is... Let me tell you.

Poor Miss Rowan has no outlet for her energy today.  Gymnastic class is cancelled and the weather is going to be awful!  So, I don't know what I'm going to do to have her blast some energy out of her!! lol...

Well, I have plenty of stuff to do right now at work and I'm just pushing it off by rambling on and on here... lol...

Have a great week all..

~Celebrate Good Times, Come On~

                   carlbday.jpg

                              Today is my birthday...

                                      I'm 23...

                              Today is my birthday...

                                 Whoopee for me...

Lol... I'm such a tard :)

Hope you all have a wonderful weekend... I'm 'celebrating' my birthday at a wedding today (bummer, I know).  And tomorrow, my family and I are having a dinner at home, sans Derek because he has stupid SWAT training from 1pm-12am!!  Argh!!  Nice huh?  OH well, its not like its a big milestone or what not... lol.

Have a great one... Because I'm sure I'll be...

::Happy Days to All::

Ps. Thanks to Barbie for finding me that great pic :D

~Quick Quick~

Just a quick little entry about Zach's doctor's appointment today.

Everything went really well.  He is now weighing (according to their scale) 13lbs 3oz!!  Holy Moly, do I have a chunk-a-monk on my hands or what??

The doctor asked all kinds of questions, like is he smiling (duh! has been) and cooing (of course!)... Does he track and follow (uh huh).  She never once did say anything to the fact that she screwed up and that she was sorry.

I think she did notice that I was very 'cold' and 'short to the point' because finally she did stop asking and trying to be nice.

She said Zach was healthy (which I knew, hey! I could be a doctor!!) and that he was probably cutting a tooth because he is drooling so much and his gums are swollen (duh! new that one too... swear, you can get your PHD with out med school!)...

I did ask her about him being 'cracklely' when he breathed sometimes.  She listened VERY WELL (Thank God) to his lungs and said they were clear.  She said more than likely that it had to do with his formula and him 'teething'.

She did mention that they could do weight checks in their office if his cardiologist wasn't weighing him when he went in.  I said, NO THANKS, they do it there.  Heck, I don't want to go there anymore than need be, thank you very much.

Zach didn't like his shots, of course.  Cried and Cried.  Fell asleep on the way home and was a perfect little boy from then on.  I'll be watching him for a fever or anything else, but so far, so good.

Going to run now.  Time for dinner... Hope you all have a great weekend!

HUGS,
Pickle
