Well, Zachary had his first cardio appointment with his new doctor this morning. It went really well and I was very impressed with the office staff and with the doctor- even if he was kinda quiet.
Zach now weighs 12lbs 5ounces and is 24 1/4 inches long! That is almost 4 lbs and 2 inches more in a month! How incredible... I guess him eating like a hog probably has something to do with it!
His EKG and Eco looked good. The doctor did notice that one of his arteries (I think that is what he said) looked a little narrow, but that it would probably grow and get better. So, he said we'd have to monitor that... But I don't care.
We go back on Tuesday for them to hook Zach up to a holster monitor. He said it can be difficult to keep the wires from getting tangled up and what not, but it would be the best to do one since he hasn't been hooked up to one since he has been home.
SO, I'm looking forward to that :D
We do go back in a month for another check up. He wants to monitor him closely, because at this age, he is gaining weight quickly and how much meds he gets depends on his weight. So, we want to be able to give him enough so he isn't having episodes.
I did notice that he didn't seem to realize how long we were in the hospital and the fact that he had been on a vent. It kinda made me wonder if he understood the severity of his problem... But that was in the first part of the visit and when he came back, he seemed to understand... So, he must have went back and checked his notes... lol...
Well, I'm going to run. Just wanted to let you all know that Zachary is doing great... Now we look forward to his Peds appointment next Friday. Let me tell you, his doctor will be getting an ear full... A nice ear full, but neverless, an ear full :D

Oh, thats so wonderful..And Im sure "watching" an artery is NOTHING to you now!! :)..I wouldn't care either if that's it!! HAHA..How wonderful, and BOY he IS getting big..Seeems like he hasn't been around this long yet to be that big! HAHA

HOORAY for Wacky Zachy!!! He is a chunka monk huh?! I love when babies have those little rolls on their legs and arms, they are the BEST!!!!! I am so happy that everything went well! PHEW! :)
