I've come across a possible dilema. Not too sure yet...
See, we are planning on naming our little man, Zachary, right?
Well, if we short his name, like Jennifer would be Jenn or whatever, do we spell it Zach or Zack?
Does Zach sound the same as Zack??
I would think so... But I was just curious about what the general population would think...
I really like the spelling of Zachary with the "ch" not Zackary, but do you still shorten it the same way???
Goodness... I am goofy... But I'm going to thank you all in advance for your thoughts... hehe

You can shorten it either way. It sounds the same. I would just do it Zach if you decide to shorten it!

Hey Sugar Pickle!
my nephew is Zach hehehe. weeeee....
small world huh? love to all the pickles, barbie~
Zack or Zach pronounced the same way. Personally I prefer the spelling as you are choosing to spell it...Zachary. ;) Nice name!
i like the way u are wanting to spell it also...zachary...and call him zach...it is different...a name u dont see that often...and both zach and zack are pronounced the same..so dont worry! and yes, u are goofy and worry about the silliest of things :-)

I've only seen it spelled "Zach" when it's shortened personally. You can call him "Wacky Zacky" though if you want to! Hee-hee! See, I am already thinking of nicknames for him and he isn't even out of the womb yet! Heck, I named my son Matthew so people could call him "Matt", but have I ever called him that yet? Nope, it's always Matthew (ahhh, gotta love Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman and the way she would say "Matthew", that's why I named him that!). Hope I helped a little at least! :)
Hugs and love, Lisa
I've known both zach's and zack's, and even a zak. Its whatever you want it to be. I think since you're spelling his name with a ch, it should be zach for short....
My two cents....
Cat
Without a doubt, Zach!
Coming from a mom whose son's nickname doesn't spell like his name...
Nicholas ~~> Nick
I would name your little guy>> Zachary and spell the nickname Zack.

Heather
My sons name is Zackery. I call him Zackery but I'm also the only one that he will let call him that. LOL He is 7 years old and wants to be called Zack. LOL he's a big boy now. LOL
I thought the same way when we decided to call him Zackery. How to spell it and how it would be shortened. LOL
I hope I helped. I also want to say....I enjoy reading your journal everyday.
i like zach, different. Like the other mommy says my son name is jonathan and we call him JONO. So whatever goes, LOL. http://journals.aol.com/fuzslady/justme
Well since you name him after my son zachary chase...then it should be zach..:-) My son goes back and forth some days he wants to be called zachary somedays zach..I spell it zach because he already knows how to spell his name so its easier for him to just shorten it than to learn a whole knew spelling..
I call him zachary crackery....actually zach couldnt say his name right and he called himself crackery...couldnt say his :z's:

It doesn't matter how you spell it, both sound the same. Both nickname spellings are correct...it's just a matter of personal preference.
Zach is how Id spell it..LOL
I like "Zach".....hope you figure it out! Happy Holidays!

Definitely "Zach" ; )
I'm all for the "ch" too :)
Luv~heather
I'd spell it Zach, I think it sounds the same...btw..I LOVE that name!
~Jenn
I've seen Zachary shortened both ways, Zack and Zach, BUT I've also seen it as just Zac. Just whatever you like. : )
I like Zach over Zack, personally I think the 'ch' adds a little sophistication...
Best wishes doll!

My step girls stay in my room with me and my husband, my three year old sleeps in a toddler bed at the end of our bed, and my five year old sleeps on a twin bed near the door. At home they sleep in the same room with their mother. I don't know what they would do if they had their own room, it's going to be hard to break them. Sometimes my three year old will wake up in the middle of the night and lay at the foot of our bed. I get so scared that one of us will kick her off the bed. Poor little thing. Good Luck with Rowan!
~Jenn~
I think zachery shortened to "Zach" would be perfect. That's the way i have always known to shorten it anyway ;-) I've never known anyone to spell it "zack" but both ways sound good. However i prefer the "ch".
Have you decided yet which way you'll spell it?
HUgs,
~Angel
